The Otis poultry farm store, or as I like to call it, Otis Chickens, because of the big cartoon chicken signs on the road leading to it, is on the route I drive between my family's house in CT and where I live in NY, so I've passed by many times and stopped for a snack. I only wish it was closer to where I live so I could come here more often. It's a full-fledged grocery store with lots of homemade pies, breads, cookies, jars of fruit spreads, honey, jugs of maple syrup, and candy. They have their own soda, and it's the only place I've found sasparilla in a long time. I've never gotten any eggs here, but the sign on the front door says, "There are 25,000 chickens within 100 feet of this door, so please excuse the smell." So I bet they'd be fresh. There's also a huge selection of wine and some other groceries, non-perishable stuff. Even if you don't stop in, go for the giant chicken signs...
