Christoper Burkett is at this gallery...he's a large-format camera photographer who does a lot of nature shots...the colors and visual depth of his photography is amazing...I also love the fact that he is so old-school...he prints his photographs in a self-built darkroom...(I once worked in a darkroom so I know what that entails...)...the Cibachrome that he prints on makes colors really pop...

The Ordover Gallery is also on the 4th floor of the SDNHM.  They arranged for Kenneth Parker to come lecture but there were not enough people signed up for the event and so they cancelled.  TSK, TSK SAN DIEGANS!  If you are a photography fan I would highly recommend that you get on their email list and sign up for some of the unique events they host.

Be sure to chat with Sharon Anthony if you are a collector and she'll be sure to keep you updated and she will be on the lookout for pieces that you really covet...

I don't normally like photography, which is why I don't appreciate the gallery as much as others would. A lot of landscape gunk, and a really awesome glassworker called Dick Ditore. His stuff is AWESOME! Everything in the gallery is for sale, and prices are not low for sure. Drop by to take a look. They also have a contract with the National History Museum so if you go to the 4th floor, you'll see their stuff.

Solana Beach has an awesome night where all the galleries open up once a month and have food/wine etc. Fun place to hang out. Bring a friend! It makes things less awkward.
