Great Diner style Burgers. Bacon made to order....you can ask for extra crispy bacon on your burger and they deliver! Great, friendly employees that remind you of a time when people took pride in their work, no matter what job they worked.
Love going here with my brother and Dad. Fries could use some work and similar to In & Out, should be eaten right away, for they lose their deliciousness quickly after being served.
Sorry everyone, Im one of the few(that I know of) that doesnt quite shout for joy for this place. I've tried it several times and still nothing to get me to smile with satisfaction. Burgers are okay, kind of on the expensive side. Had a craving for a steak sandwich one day and decided to give theirs a try...blah and not worth the money. Breakfast is on the better side though. They are usually busy so they are a local favorite. Just not mine. Rather have an In and Out burger any day.
Widely recognized as the area's foremost burger joint, thanks to its fresh ingredients, this former pool hall has become a favorite for breakfast, serving bacon and eggs, biscuits and gravy, omelets, pancakes, and country fried steak. The lunch crowd, too, gets the royal treatment with cooked-to-order gyros, fried squash, onion rings, and, of course, world-class burgers. There's an additional location at 1099 East Clark Avenue (805-938-0064).
My friend who lives nearby says: Orcutt Burger has great food and healthy fresh choices to make. I generally go there about 2-3 times per week. Their pancake breakfasts are awesome as well as their grilled chicken salad. I am always pleased with the quality of food.

i love crispy zucchini fries.
Orcutt Burgers is quite possibly my favorite local staple. The quality is equal at both locations and while I prefer eating at the Orcutt location I generally end up at the Santa Maria place.
Orcutt Burgers features a dizzying menu full of all manner of items. The burgers are great and they have an impressively home-made tasting Ranch dressing. Massive portions will never leave you hungry.
The staff is one of the friendlier groups when it comes to locally owned places. It is no wonder Orcutt Burgers is regular voted best in town by reader's polls.
Just try it!
I also love Orcutt Burger. I have to disagree with Philip A -- unless the place has moved recently, Orcutt Burger (both locations) is in the same place a Wendy's hamburger place used to be. The South Broadway Wendy's was there in the early 80s, the Orcutt location was a gas station and converted over in the early 80s. The Broadway location of Orcutt Burger was used in filming Sideways.
Great hamburgers, nice and fresh. I like them better than Wendy's. The Orcutt location has/had a good breakfast (haven't been there that early in a while).
