My husband and I took a much needed "staycation" here in April and had a really wonderful time. The location seems a bit random: situated across the street from a strip mall, but as you enter the elaborate stone driveway with its impressive gates and fountain, you feel instantly removed from the rural suburbia of Williamstown.

We booked the "Date Night" package, which was a really fantastic deal for just one night: wine and cheese delivered to our room, a room upgrade, 2 tickets to a movie in nearby North Adams, dinner for two in the hotel restaurant (Gala- you could order anything off the menu), and breakfast delivered to our room the next morning. The room was certainly quite spacious, and the bed very comfortable. We certainly felt pampered and relaxed, and the hotel staff was very accommodating.

We came right at the tail end of the off-season, so I'm pretty sure there were less than a dozen people in the hotel. Regardless, I'd still go back for a weekend getaway. A really nice experience.
