I'm shameless, seriously shameless for writing about a hospital cafeteria.

When I haven't Yelped in a bit I get a little ancy so I have to desperately find something to write about.

Some of my Yelp review ideas were...1) My dog Maggie and her regular bowel movements basically on command.  2) Thrifty ice cream  3) Healthy Choice frozen dinner...SO PATHETIC!!

I had to think back in the deep caverns of my mind to pull out the experience I had at Orchard Cafe (Kaiser's newest hospital cafeteria).  Get this the medical campus I work at now has two great cafeterias (see my Courtyard Cafe review:http://www.yelp.com/bi...).  Orchard Cafe though is a cut above the rest and I'll tell you why.

First off, Orchard Cafe is about to do something that other hospital cafs could only dream about doing....they're going to start holding cooking demonstrations!!  I about fell over in their rod iron and bamboo chair when I heard that.  Kaiser is really trying to take healthy eating and healthcare to a new level.  In addition to this shocker, a frozen yogurt and ice cream bar, freshly prepared salads, and coffee bar will be other very needed features.

Right now the cafe only offers sandwiches, pre-made salads, some desserts, and a variety of beverages.  They are still a work in progress but I give them five stars because I know what's coming up is going to be good!
