I was very much pleased with this place. First off, the whole place looked like a regular dining room you would find in any day time TV show (if the family is living a little below middle class). It was nice and simple. Refreshing, if you will.
Now to the gut, the food. I kept my order simple thinking I wouldn't have been impressed. But when you take a simple sandwich... and make it DOUBLE DECKER. I get a little giddy. The down side is there's no interchangeable side. It's always potatoes. I don't want potatoes. I would have liked chips or fries or some other form.
To drink, I of course had a glass of orange juice (it is their namesake). At first I was just "It's only orange juice" but this was no ordinary orange juice. It was like I was eating an orange. Yes, dear reader, a perfect orange juice. I later found that I could have gotten other juices with my own mixes. I wish I knew that, I really did.
For a final touch, they had Trivial Pursuit cards on the table. I liked that.
We were in town for a couple days this weekend, and the friend we were staying with suggested Orange for brunch. Awesome. Never been there, and I'm always down for something new.
The wait wasn't very long, maybe fifteen minutes, but half of that was spent trying to get the attention of the hostess. If you're gonna be a host/hostess, you need to be a little assertive. This girl was not. She was busy, but not crazy-busy.
The menu had a lot of things that sounded really good, like a caprese eggs benedict with pesto hollandaise and the aforementioned pancake offerings.
I really couldn't decide. In the end, I went with the Omelet #11.5, which was filled with brie, chopped bacon, spinach, and leeks. There was a curvy stripe of avocado mousse on top, but I couldn't taste it. I think it was just decorative. The omelet was good. I've had better, but it wasn't bad.
Here is where we get into the annoying part (yes, there is always something that annoys me). The 'house potatoes' were completely bland and tasteless. Served in a cylinder-shape, the potatoes were hash browns-esque, but not quite. There was something green in there like a seasoning of some sort, but I couldn't tell what it was. Even salt couldn't save them. Once you broke apart the cylinder, the potatoes just fell apart into a mushy mess.
What I really wanted was to sub a side of mixed greens instead of the house potatoes, but they charge $2.50 to do so. I'm on a budget, but trying to eat healthy. They choose to offer organic mixed greens, and that's more expensive than what are probably not organic potatoes, blah, blah, blah, I get it. Still unhappy.
My one friend got the traditional eggs benedict. I tried it, and it was good, but their hollandaise is light on the lemon juice. Personally, I prefer it to go the other way. But the rest of it was good. The eggs were poached properly. It's surprisingly hard to find a brunch restaurant where the cooks consistently know how to poach an egg.
My other friend got the omelet #6, which involved all kinds of stuff, including dry-aged jack cheese, almonds, garlic, and asparagus. Hers had one of those curvy lines of decorative liquid on top of it, too. In this case, it was a balsamic reduction. She also had cream of mushroom soup and liked it.
Overall, it wasn't too bad. I wish I had tried the pancakes, since that seems to be their specialty, but I was really in the mood for an omelet.
Not bad, definitely unique. Orange combines gourmet food with a surprisingly down-to-earth atmosphere. I'm talking gourmet like menu items described in great detail, fancy reduction sauces, and themed flights of pancakes; and down-to-earth like the chairs from your mom's kitchen set (trust me, you'll recognize them), fiberboard tables, and servers who, aside from the tab book in their pocket, could be any other person off the street. Also, they put a little carafe of coffee on your table so you don't have to wait for refills.
Although I was seated right away (party of one), I could see the wait times here getting out of hand. Reasonably priced, and quick service. Worth coming back for something different every now and then.
The frushi was interesting. Can't say that I'm a big fan but it was unique. It's one of those things that you should try once just to say you did. But, would I come back for more? Doubtful.
The pancake flight was very good and unique. It cost us $10.95, but it was well worth it. The theme for us was obviously the Fourth of July. So, they had a red, white, blue, and fireworks (pop rocks) pancakes. My favorite was the red which had strawberries. I'll admit the pop rocks were an interesting twist but it wasn't my favorite.
We also ordered their green eggs and ham omelette which cost $8.95. It didn't look like your normal omelette (probably because they needed it to be green). But, it tasted pretty good. We asked for the English muffin instead of the toast but apparently that cost extra. And, of course, we had to get a side of the bacon and two large juices. The bacon seemed quite popular with the patrons there. And, their fresh juices are supposed to be one of their unique features. So, we definitely had to try it. The juice was good, but I wasn't overly impressed (I have a blendtec at home that can do pretty much the same stuff). Overall, Orange was good but not great. Unique but not memorable.
Orange is awesome, hence the long lines and overwhelming popularity of the place. You're guaranteed a unique breakfast / brunch experience whenever you go. There's no comparing it to any place else.
I was a little wary of trying the frushi, just because it sounded so weird, but it's really delicious. Fruit and rice, who knew? I also love the green eggs and ham (pesto makes them green) and the chai tea french toast. So yummy. They also have really great fresh-squeezed OJ, but it's extremely overpriced. But I guess when you're Orange, you can get away with these things.
To avoid the ridiculously long lines, I recommend trying to go on a weekday. The weekend breakfast crowd is ridiculous and you'll have a much quieter and enjoyable experience if you have a chance to visit during the week.
All in all, this place is a MUST VISIT if you're looking to be a Chicago brunch aficionado.
This place is great! I'm a breakfast person, and I thoroughly enjoyed the big stack of pancakes with almond sauce. The orange juice tasted like real oranges, which shocked me. (I suppose I jaded). I didn't have to wait, and walked right in. Pick and choose your time, and you can get in.
Next time I shall have to try the French toast.
I never understood why there is a big line of people waiting for brunch at this place and I lived right around the corner, gave it more than a few tries. It was consistently a mediocre experience.
They are definitely good at marketing because the breakfast is okay, but is a big disappointment after an hour wait for seating, and a half hour wait to be served. The frushi is cute but overpriced and more often than not there was something wrong with my food/drink and had to be sent back.
So I have to give it to them for their excellent marketing magic because no place this mediocre should consistently have a line out the door.
On Word: Frushi
This this a great breakfast place for during the week or even a lunch. On the weekends it does get really crazy and the wait is always over an hour long. The place is small, but the food is memorable. Don't forget to try the Frushi - like nothing else you've ever had
Best breakfast ever. EVER.
Rosemary-infused french toast with almonds is to die for. So creative, so delicious. The flavors you get when you put that fluffy yet soaked piece of bread into your mouth is just ridiculous. Infused really means soaked, but in such a good way. My gf and I are slowly brunching across Chicago, but we know we're going to be back here...
If you like creative food, and you like breakfast, you need to come here asap. Hell, if you like delicious food, you need to come here asap...
This place is so unbelievably good, it makes me want to go back and take away stars from other reviews I've given... THIS is the new 5-star standard!
ps: service fine and loved the space, its not crowded and loud like some smaller brunch places are.
Creative menu items, interesting choices of fresh-squeezed fruit juices but the line out the door doesn't make it worth it. The decor is really nice though and maybe that's what made me want to try it. It's got quite the following but I don't think the food was anything special. I had eggs benedict and honestly, they were better at Clark's. Definitely over-priced.
Great, great brunch place. Our group of three waited close to an hour to get a seat though!! I guess that just goes to show the popularity of Orange and attests to the quality of their brunch.
If you couldn't guess from the name, Orange is a place where you come for breakfast/brunch and.... orange juice! Well, not just orange juice, all their juices are freshly squeezed (which you definitely need to try if you come to Orange), and they even have orange flavored infused coffee. Plus, you can custom design your own juice/smoothie.
The pancake flights here are crazy cute, and crazy good. In fact, everything they do here, they do with care. My other friends got brunch plates which looked very good (although I can't recall what they got exactly... just that it looked good!).
The only reason this doesn't get the full 5-stars is that the wait can be ridiculously long. If you're in no rush and want to try an unconventional brunch, check out Orange.
Incredible Brunch place. I come here once every month and have the Chai Tea French Toast and it is DIVINE. That, on top of the endless pot of Coffee is my little heaven on earth. My friends have had the cinnamon roll pancakes and they were quite satisfied (though it was a bit too much sugar at one time). Their fresh-squeezed juices somehow turn out great every time, no matter what random concoction we think of.
Overall great place, we were well taken care of, great prices, and I would certainly recommend it.
RAW CHICKEN AT ORANGE. So I am writing a review to get the attention of the General Manager at Orange- sure hope you call me back Jacob. My BF and I were eating there about two hours ago and I took a bite of his chicken sandwich. Totally RAW. The manager asked me to keep it down and said he would take the sandwich off the bill. How Kind of you. That is how you treat a hair in salad or bringing a customer the wrong dish - not serving something potentially harmful to your customers. I am talking about a 1/2 cutlet that was 1/4 inch thick - not cooked.
You may consider this post defamatory - and even though you were polite - charging us for the rest of the uneaten food was inappropriate and you should have gotten the GM on the phone - while I was there.
I really hope nothing comes of this. Please try to remember that you are in the food service industry and the general public expects for you to be aware of how to cook and serve food. No one needs their health compromised over Brunch.
I love this place due to its creative nature and always changing menu. My friends and I went during pride week last summer and I had the pancake special which was 4 differen types which I can't decide which one I liked the most. The green eggs and ham is also something everyone should try once in their life. Just amusing creative food with different combinations you wouldn't think would go so well together. Whatever you decide to get, make sure to get some fresh orange juice. :)
Just an FYI... this place was shut down today for health code violations. I have eaten here once and was definitely not impressed. My friend is a huge fan of their french toast, so I had considered possibly going back at some point, but probably not anymore.
In my books, if a place gets shut down for violations and I hear about it, I just cannot stomach going back... I would totally obsess about icky thoughts.
Here's a copy of the news article... hope I don't get in trouble for copyright violations!
North Side restaurant closed by city
August 5, 2009 5:20 PM
A North Side restaurant was closed today by inspectors from Mayor Daley's Dumpster Task Force after they found faulty coolers at unsafe temperatures among other health code violations.
Orange, located on 3231 N. Clark St., specializes in brunch fare. In a routine and unannounced visit, inspectors ordered the discarding of about 30 pounds of food being stored at unsafe temperatures, including eggs, meat, fruit and cheese.
The restaurant was also ticketed for failing to have adequate hand sanitation in an area where food is prepared, and also for using a sink for both food preparation and washing utensils.
Officials also found no food manager on duty.
The owners will have to pay a $3,000 fine and attend a hearing on Sept. 17.

This place is overrated. Not even taking into consideration the recent health code violation (gross!), I do not think this place warrants the hype or wait time recently.
I had the "acclaimed" coconut french toast kabobs - which were dry and unflavorful. My husband had the Omelet "#11.5". It was mainly leeks, and the avocado mousse was clearly lacking in avocado and salt.
Overall, a disappointing experience - especially for the wait and price! We will not be going back.
I got the berry pancake flight and it was delicious! I tried 3 other of my friends' brunch plates and they were all pretty tasty (cinnamon roll pancakes, french toast- a little on the heavier side). However, service was kind of off, they forgot some items and I noticed my pancakes weren't exactly as described- the toppings were mixed up.

This place puts a fun twist on brunch!
Took 2 stars off when I walked through the door because the place was so damn HOT inside. The waiter was also a bit frazzled, but I think he was just really swamped. Other than that, the food was pretty exciting both in taste and presentation (so they get a star back!) I loooved my pancake flight (theme of the week: berries) and enjoyed my boyfriend's green eggs and ham (scrambled eggs with pesto) as well. We did not opt for the frushi.. after looking at the sample our waiter brought us, we just weren't compelled to try 'em. Shrugs. The items on their menu are all pretty creative, and I'd love to go back and try those french toast kabobs!
This place is BYOB so don't forget to bring a bottle of bubbly! Although if you do forget (which we did) a Binny's is just down the street.
I went here with my mom a while back, but I remember it was very good. The interior is nicely decorated as well. I had the coconut french toast and it was delish. My mom had some type of spinach omelet that was also tasty. They have wonderful orange juice (duh), but also other types of juice and different juice variations. Yummy! I like Orange.
Pancake Flight: Yes.
Omelet 11.5: Yes
Orange Rosemary French Toast: Yes
Rosemary Sausage: Yes
Juice: Yes
We had an outstanding meal at Orange. We had to wait 40 minutes, but that's what was quoted so we walked up and down Clark Street and it was no biggie.
It was nice out and we sat out back on the patio, so we did not deal with hot temps inside or experience any of the "dirty" that some Yelpers have mentioned.
This is a great place to experience a unique twist on some breakfast staples. I went with friends from out of town and we loved it.
That being said, don't come if you aren't prepared to spend 15-18 bucks a person on large servings of food straight from heaven. They also did not accept AMEX.
Orange is a pretty standard breakfast with a little flare here and there. My favorite flares are the custom, fresh juices which allow you to mix and match ingredients, the very sweet and tasty chai french toast, and of course the Frushi.
I've been to Orange many times and it's always consistent if nothing else. Unfortunately there are some consistently irritating parts about Orange too. While the servers are typically very friendly, the hosts are not always so. I understand that Orange is super popular and often becomes a terrible tourist trap, but it's not my fault. That said, unless you arrive here pretty early in the morning (I'd say before 10am at the very latest) expect to wait. There are often quite long lines that don't necessarily move quickly depending on the day.
A lot of people take out of town guests to Orange and I don't understand why. The atmosphere is fine but it's nothing special. If you want to really "wow" someone with breakfast this wouldn't be my first choice. But if you're an early riser and want something reliable, comfortable, and tasty then point your compass towards Orange.
I am all in for the flight fad going on around town!
Beer flight.
Wine flight.
Cupcake flight.
Pancake flight.
Wait * record scratch * Pancake flight?!
Oh yes indeed. Orange delivered some good tasting pancakes to someone who is not a lover of them. How can you not like pancakes you ask? Easy, I don't like syrup and most places in lieu of syrup will put some for of pie filling atop my buttermilks, so I would rather not have any!
Okay YUM to the orange roasted coffee. Didn't even need sugar. But at $3.50 that's a bit too steep for a bottomless cup. I'll buy the beans and make my own at home. After seeing the steep price for coffee, I opted not to buy into the make your own juice, which is also $3.50 for a small glass. I think I was scared I might not like my concoction!
But the flight of pancakes was not only adorable but they were nicely placed in separate compartments on the plate. That way all the flavors don't mix. There was a blueberry/cantaloupe one that was fantastic. Then, cherry/orange marmalade, rhubarb/pineapple, and another one that has left my memory. All were good though and cute tiny little stacks!
The wait for Sunday brunch a bit after 10 AM was only 15 minutes, which it was only 10. I'm not one to usually wait for my breakfast, but this place has been on the list for a couple of years now. Finally we made it, and will be back again. Looking around at other customers plates, nothing looks bad!
Oh, and stop in the bathroom to see the 'garden' in there. Interesting and quirky addition!
pretty, pretty good! here's the reasoning for my 3 stars (not only to curb too-high-rating-trends):
their appetizers and sides are great! the frushi was great as was my smoothie. but the main meal: meh. i had green eggs and ham and they were a tad runny and watery. and my potatoes were ok also. the presentation was stellar, though. wish i would have had a pancake flight instead--those looked better than my dish tasted.
I ditched my car in the neighborhood to go drinking the night before and my husband and i ended up here in the morning to pick up the car. I will be honest, I was actually trying to take him to Deleece the next block over but they weren't opening for another 45 mins and were were HUNGRY!
So it was about 9:45 and we still had a small 5 min wait which was fine with me! I'd been to Orange on Harrison before and always enjoyed it but never made it my first choice to go due to the line ups. In any case, we had a great experience here - nice service and great eggs benedict. I've never seen such perfectly poached eggs. I highly appreciate the skill involved in making Eggs benny because I've attempted it many many times and rarely see the poaching perfection that I saw at Orange.
Do try the crab eggs benedict if you see it on the specials menu or try the traditional eggs benedict where you'll get a thick slab of bacon on english muffins.
Oooooooooooooooooo.........
Do It
Oooooooooooooooooo........

DO THE HUSTLE
Okay. Is that song stuck in your head? It's stuck in mine. Now we have something in common.
And no, it's not a snarky commentary on the wait staff--it's just the song that was playing as we left Orange today.
The good news is that I did a spin class this morning.
The bad news is that I probably negated all the calories I burned at spin by eating at Orange. But it was worth it. The flight of pancakes is so good that it'll make you want to slap your mama. And the coffee is hot and they bring it in a carafe, so you can refill it on your own.
Cute, quirky place that's perfect for brunch. Friendly staff and very fast service--they must hustle (forgive me, I amuse myself). My friends and I were seated within minutes and stayed for almost two hours and they were great about it.
Everybody left happy. So hustle on down there.
This morning I woke up earlier than normal, and decided to go grab breakfast before my meeting. I was served Orange coffee, which I have to say isn't bad. The best part is people must come here for http://Match.com or Eharmony, because 2 people came up to me and asked if I was xxx from the match. What a great idea, a breakfast match, no long commitments, and you can always take off in a hurry. Oh yeah, they served mashed potatoes with my marble rye and over easy eggs... Weird.
While you can expect to wait well over an hour for a table between 11am and 2pm on the weekends, the wait is always worth it. There's a nice quaint atmosphere inside.
Do not come here unless you are going to have a homemade fruit and yogurt snoothie, for they are much better than the food (and that says a lot because the food is great).
While like a lot of other restos in Chi the place is very packed, crowded, and small. There is no parking, street parking is a joke, so hopefully you can just walk there. It's a great place to nurse a hangover.
Dry pancakes. Cold eggs. Potato dish was plain and eh...not that good. If you like onions then make sure to order them on the potatoes. Overall, I felt like they were more concerned about the presentation than the food quality. I mean, even IHOP is better and a LOT cheaper. Not worth the money. Other people that I know also said Orange USED to be good and has gone way down hill...
Ok, for some reason I thought this place was supposed to be one of the great brunch places in the city.
WRONG.
I went in expecting a very solid breakfast. It wasn't.
We waited 30 minuts, which wasn't too bad. You would think a 30 minute wait=great brunch ahead.
First, they don't let you build your own omlette. Your only options include either pineapple or asparagus. I ordered the pineapple, ham and swiss omlette, which was very good, However my boyfriends roomate just wanted a simple ham and cheese omlette. The waitress was very adament that they would not acomodate him.
Next, my friend had a fruitfly in her juice. Yes, it's fresh squeezed, so I don't want to be too hard on them. Still, gross.
Cinnamon roll pancakes ordered by my boyfriend were pretty good. But weren't really buttermilk pancakes, more like a whole wheat or buckwheat. They might have been one of the best things between the other things our table ordered, but still. Not great.
Friend ordered huevos rancheros. She wasn't too thrilled. The scrambled eggs were fine, but who can mess those up?
Rave reviews on the rosemary sausage.
Eh...there are so many better places to get brunch in the area, why waste your time and money here.
Waitress never asked if everything tasted ok, never even said thank you, or have a good day, or...anything.
Service...not great. Food...not great. Bugs in juice...not great either.
Orange gets a great big..."meh".
They have a sign outside that says, "If you want to build your own omlette, go to the golden nugget."
We will. It's much better, for half the price.
Never again Orange, never again. You seriously disappointed me.
I went back to Orange this Sunday and was disappointed by high prices, horrible services and mediocre food. I used to love this place but I think I will stick to Sola in the future which never has a wait (we waited about 30 min at Orange) or even Hot Chocolate. Anyways, our waitress was super unfriendly - to the point where I thought maybe I had done something to offend her. I asked a pretty basic question about substituting scrambled eggs for fried eggs on one of the entrees and she gave me a flat out no. Fine. I decided to go with the huevos rancheros. When they came she had of course mixed up my order so I had to send it back - which I really hate doing. The dish was pretty sub par. My friend and I substituted regular potatoes for sweet potatoes which were a whopping $2.5 more and came with about 4 skinny sweet potato fries - honestly. All in all I left spending about $20 for a really disappointing brunch. I won't be back.

I was really excited about the pancake flight but it ended up being dry and lacked in flavor. I had to add syrup to eat the pancakes which was really disapointing for an $11 plate of pancakes.
Every egg dish is served with dry undercooked potatoes. The fruit sushi was tasty but it was also $2-3 for 2 pieces of sweet rice and fruit. The juices wernt anything special, it's neat but i can do that at home. We were all satisfied with our meal but the price was not worth it.
I might go back for the Chai French Toast. My mom ordered it and it was the best thing we tasted.
Funky breakfast place with interesting options. Try the frushi, fruit sushi.
Each week they offer a new flight of pancakes that are yummy and creative.
The club sandwich here has some magic Chipotle dressing that makes me day dream about it on other inappropriate foods, like pizza. But it works. Lots of other creative breakfast dishes that my wife ventured into when we lived here. Great juices too. I did have a miss with a Thai omelet, but to be fair I really assumed the risk on that one.
No, my main complaint about Orange is that the staff are all some version of hip - hippie, hipster, hip-hoppers, and they are definitely way too hip, young, and inexperienced to seat or serve you in a timely fashion. They can only justify working at this place rather than painting/writing/smoking because it has "Orange" in the name, and oranges are organic and an outlandish color for one's shoes.
My wife and I have suffered the consequences of all this jive. I recall a visit where we decided to sit at the juice bar rather than wait the estimated 30 minutes for a table (even though it didn't seem busy at all). The juice guy promptly handed us menus, asked for drinks, and then forgot about us and hung out at the other end of the empty and lengthy bar for another 30 minutes. I'm sure he was doing important work hashing out his screenplay with the savant dishwasher, but we were hungry, damnit.
All in all, the food is great, but the staff at Orange are a bit green (the other color association I'm sure they'd be proud of).
Awesome. Everything on the menu looks and has been delish. A little pricier for my tightwad ass, but worth it. Great service, too.
We had Saturday brunch about noon and I was surprised that there was no wait. I think the Taste of Chicago must have pulled away some of the usual crowd.
I had Omelet #11.5, which includes bacon, sweet leeks, and brie, with an avocado sauce on top. It was very good and creamy, though I tasted the brie less than I expected. They had a pancake flight special, which I think changes weekly. My wife had those and let me try them, and each of the four was very good. The descriptions sounded as though they might be overly sweet, but the taste was subdued and came out just right.
Coffee with orange in it is a bit unusual, but the taste is right on even if the smell is a little bit household-cleaner. It isn't something I'd want everyday, but it's worth a try. Good service and okay prices, except a side of bacon which was too small for $4, considering it was not uniquely prepared. Also, this location does not serve alcohol although it does allow you to bring your own. The location on Roscoe does serve alcohol, so next time we'll probably try that one.
I'd have given it a higher rating except for the wait.
Food is always fresh and the fruit smoothies are great. Frushie is a fun item and I love eating it. Always clean, always nice staff working.
Since I was in high school, I loved trekking around Lakeview and doing some shopping. It's a bit of a drive (Well, I took the train back then) but it made for a day of exploration and getting to know Chicago better. I always noticed Orange and wondered about it. Then, I read reviews on Yelp and decided I NEEDED to go. I'm a brunch junkie!
I went around 2pm with a friend, so there was no wait. Pretty small place with cute paintings of Chicago all over. Many posters advertising 5Ks and other charity events.
Cucumber water? Never had it (I know) but, yum on the hot, humid summer day.
However, right away our service lacked. We decided on our drinks (I got orange pineapple with yogurt...$4.50 uhh) and waited wayy too long to order them. My friend and I were in NEED of a bathroom, but I insisted we place our drink orders. Yeah. We gave up and on the way, we passed our server. "Uh, uhhh" she stammered. Also, after we placed our drinks, we saw them sitting on the nearby counter for a few minutes. We had to grab them myself.
That aside, the food was stellar. I got a plate of frushi (See photo). Quite an interesting idea that sets Orange apart from other brunch places. $2.50 for first plate, $1.50 for an additional. I especially liked one piece of frushi in which the rice had coconut in it. My friend ended up basically licking the mango and strawberry/raspberry sauce off the plate!
For my entree, it was between the chai tea french toast, the french toast kebabs and the green eggs and ham. The chai tea won (See photo). I love chai tea, but am not excited by french toast...this excited me! So delicious and kept me full all day. It came in the coolest, big bowl.
If you love pancakes, try their flights. You get four pancakes, each of a different flavor. The theme changes by the week. The week I went, there were Father's Day pancakes.
Orange is one of my favorite Brunch spots and now they have opened a location just across the street from my office...Dangerous!
I love eggs Benedict and I love even more trying innovative eggs Benedict creations. Orange has some of my favorite combos so far- the steak and eggs Benedict is fabulous and I crave the Caprese eggs Benedict- hence a location directly across the street is dangerous. Orange is a little pricey, but I always know what to expect and I have not been disappointed yet.
And I really like the yummy orange coffee too!
This place is amazing. I've been here twice already, and both times it was top-notch.
The orange coffee - SOOOO good! Even the water with the cucumber slices in it is tasty and refreshing.
The frushi (sushi with fruit instead of fish) is delicious. It's nice to get some to spilt with the whole table. Just a really great appetizer. The first time I went I got one of their omelets (Omelet 11.5, to be exact). It was great right down to the avocado mousse they topped it off with. The second time I got their Flight of Pancakes. These are four different styles of mini pancakes all falling under one theme. When I went it was a fruit theme (they change from time to time). There were raspberry (with nutella), blueberry (with banana sauce), blackberry (with mango mousse) and cranberry (with cream cheese mousse). Everything was great, and so well presented.
I brought my mom and sister here a couple weeks ago when they were visiting. We had a 40 minute wait which we didn't mind because there was an Urban Outfitters across the street where I picked up a cute dress on sale. Five Dolla Make You Holla!
Once we were seated, we looked over the menu and each decided on getting the Pancake flight, which are four stacks of silver dollar pancakes, each with a different theme that changes weekly. We then proceeded to pick out our juice, which they make fresh just for you. (Watermelon grape = 5 stars)
After about 15 minutes, our server still hadn't come back to take our order so we just wrote everything down so we could hand it to him when he got there. He was so excited that we saved him the time of having to go through our order (apparently they were short 2 servers that morning), that he gave us our juice and frushi for free, hay girl hay!
I don't know what they do to make your food so insanely delicious, and they wouldn't share their secret.... but you can take their special card with the weekly specials listed to try and recreate it at home! I tried to make their pancake flight one morning... it was good...Ok not that good but still fun to try and replicate!
Okayyyyy and how about their delicious Cinnamon Roll Pancakes? Any takers? Yum yum!
