Review from Tres B.

Old ham and egger turned into a Mexican joint.
I was told "grandma" makes all the food fresh in the morning. Makes sense - the green chili was fantastic and quite spicy. But the taco meat was really very dry. After sitting alll day, no wonder.
I like this place for the hints of the old school. I was told it was once called "Ralph's Cafe". The original circa 1950's formica countertop remains.
Not really big on the food, but the nostalgia is nifty. -
Review from Michael H.

We had breakfast here a while back and was unfortunately unimpressed. We were hoping to find a cool local hole in the wall breakfast spot to get some good huevos rancheros but we'll unfortunately have to keep looking.
The biggest problem was their grill was way too hot to be cooking eggs on. Everyone who had eggs with their meal got them extra crispy and their idea of scrambled eggs was to break them in a pan, break the yolks and mix it up a bit. It's not hard to do eggs right. They're supposed to be cooked on low heat. Scrambled should be beaten before going into the pan, maybe with a bit of milk.
The other thing that sticks out in my mind was the cheese. They use the fake orange Velveeta squares. That looks anything but appetizing on top of your breakfast.
I might try this place again for lunch or dinner and hopefully update my review for the better then but I'll pass on breakfast. -

It was very crowded when we came here, so I definitely understood that service would be slow, and slow it was, 45 minutes to be exact. The food is good, nothing outstanding, just consistently good. The young woman that sat us, however, was incredibly rude. At the end of the meal we had been waiting for some time to get our bill and we asked her if she could get it. She actually responded with a dirty look and then each time she passed our table after that she would studiously ignore us. I will not go back because of her, and thats a shame.

Ok, it doesn't look like much, but this place is awesome. The guac is great, the margaritas are strong, and Wheel of Fortune was playing on the tv. What more could you want?
