Since my review three years ago, I've used On Time Limousine (specifically the sedans, never the limos) on perhaps a dozen more occasions, not just to and from the airport but also in other situations where driving myself and/or using a taxi were options but where OTL seemed the most reliable (and least stressful) choice; one example is accompanying a friend to Kaiser at 6 am to check in for an 8 am operation.
They've invariably been on time. Every driver drives well and is good company whether I and any companions are in a conversational mood or not. They've been wonderful about scheduling, the most impressive occasion being when I called at 8 pm on a Saturday evening on behalf of a friend who'd just learned she needed to be at the SF Airport nine hours later, at 5 am Sunday morning. I assumed that what I was asking was impossible as well as unreasonable, but they made it happen.

I rented two limos from them for my wedding day. One for me and my entourage, and another for my husband and his groomsmen, because we stayed at different hotels.
As any wedding, we were on a tight schedule. The limos were suppose to pick us up at 4pm and bring us to a specific location for pictures before the ceremony; a first glance.
Bottom line, we have no pictures of a complete wedding party because THIS LIMO SERVICE WAS LATE. They were 30 mins late picking me up and a whole hour late picking my husband up. The photographers and videographers that we paid extra to be at the locations, we're waiting there for us and it never even happened.
What's worst yet, my husband had to map quest the location on his iPhone and direct the driver how to get to the ceremony site instead of enjoy his time having a designated driver with his buddies right before he got married.Comment from James B. of On Time Limousine 11/5/2011

On Time Limousine is a fantastic service. James was easy to coordinate with and Francisco was an absolute treat as a driver.
We got a limo for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. Francisco drove us to Healdsburg to a wine tasting room, then drove us to dinner, then picked us up and drove us back home. We changed our itinerary several times (as we couldn't decide if we had enough time, etc.) and he totally went with the flow. My sister even had to kick him out while she pumped in the back of the limo and he was so pleasant and easy-going about the whole experience!
Prices are incredibly reasonable, the drivers are reliable & "on time," the company checked in with me prior to the event, they went with any schedule change I had, and they gave us the perfect amount of privacy. They also let you bring in your own food and beverages! The only thing I wished our limo had was an ipod connector so we could play music on our ipod.
I highly recommend On Time Limo and will definitely use them again! -

After reading some good reviews on Yelp I tried this Limo service for the first time 3 years ago. Since then I've probably called them for airport transportation at least 20 times. Sometimes just for myself on a business trip, sometimes for my family, including a 2 year old with a car seat that has to be put in the limo in the backseat. Our trips have gone smoothly every single time. (Even though we have sometimes had glitches, such as arriving late, or having to change the pickup time.) I've owed them a review on Yep for a long time, given how excellent they are:
*On time every time.
*Good quality, clean, sedans.
*(Most importantly) Excellent drivers. Not your Bay Area weird taxi style, but just normal, sympathetic, PROFESSIONAL drivers who are no drama, friendly, and calm.

We have used On Time Limo for six trips now, to and from OAK and SFO. That's fourteen pickups. The driver has been either Dean or Stephanie.
1. They are totally reliable. Always on time.
2. They speak American English.
3. The limos are always clean and comfortable.
4. The cost is about the same as a taxi.
5. The drivers are interesting to talk to but they have enough sense not to bother you when you do not feel like talking.
What more could you want in a Limo service? We'll use these guys forever. -

We used On Time Limo to travel from OAK to downtown SF (Stephanie drove us) and back again (with Dean on the return). We had an outstanding experience: prompt, clean cars, used a couple short-cuts to avoid traffic, reasonable price--it was an all-around great experience. We will definitely use them on future trips.

I called to rent a car with driver to move a twin bed from the seller, the guy told me he had no man at hand but promised to call me 2 hours later. Then he called me again and unfortunately there was no car available either. 15 minutes later he called again and arranged a car to arrive at about 1pm. But later I received a phone call from another man offering to do the hauling for me, it turned out that the Limousine could not do it because of the expense or something and found this man for me on craiglist. And in the end, I went with the guy, who also kindly gave me a ride as an exception to how he usually does business. The move turned out very good and although I did not actually use the Limousine's service, I appreciate their patience and kindness. The man answering the phone has a nice voice!

Big freakin' fan of this place. I will preface this review by saying that it is based on only one experience, and should my future experiences differ, I will definitely update.
I sent an email on Wednesday evening for a pick up on Friday. "...Do your online prices include airport fees & tax?...Yes." Sweet. My lady driver (Yes, lady driver...I've never had one. And, I was stoked, let me tell you.) was right on time.
She went this crazy way to the airport, which I asked about, and was a result of having a GPS that redirected her when there was too much traffic on 880...I get to the airport in 20min from the Laurel District in Oakland. Sweet, again.
When I return, I check my email--"I hope everything with your service went well. I noticed you didn't have return service--please let us know if we can set this up."
I didn't happen to need the return. But, they were so polite and helpful at every turn. It makes me want to give these folks my money, and I don't part with it easily. I feel like a crotchety old man when I say this, but service is underrated, and these people BRING IT.
I will be calling them again. -

I've lost count of how many times we've used On Time Limousine to get too and from the airport. Every time we go for two weeks or more. Dean has been our driver, on time, as the name promises, friendly and professional. He has bottled water if we want it and he remembers my preference for 91.1 on the radio. We always feel in good hands and wouldn't consider another means of transport to OAK or SFO. Dean and On Time have even replaced our former preference, to stay at a motel near SFO that offered a Park and Fly program. It feels safer being driven home after a long flight than driving.

James is the best! We used On Time Limo for my daughter's Senior Prom two weeks ago. James communicated with us in a very timely manner, answered zillions of questions, and remained very patient with us as I tried to put this together for 8 kids. They were on time (as their name says,) and the driver was extremely "chill" according to the kids. He called me a few times throughout the evening to tell me what was going on and dropped them off safely at their after party. I will definitely use them again. Not only are their prices good, but they are just SO nice.

4.5 stars...I just don't give perfect scores :)
Most reasonably priced out of the few I looked up.
Rented a limo for 8 people. Communication was great. All emails and questions were answered in a timely fashion.
Limo was on time, of course. Driver was respectful and punctual as we had stops through Richmond, Berkeley, SF and Oakland.
Got a bottle of champagne cuz it was my birthday.
Please remember to tip the driver! I had such a good time (and a few drinks) that I remembered only AFTER he dropped us off.
I called the office on Monday to finalize the balance and added the tip to the totalled amount.
I would definitely rent from them again. -

How can you fit 8 passengers with luggage into one stretch limo? Well, no other limo service could but this guy DID. Great service, great price and "On Time" is not just the name of the business, it's what he does. He made our family trip to Hawaii a memorable one.

I used them to pick up my in-laws for my wedding back in March. I dealt w/ James most of the time. He's always so polite and so informative. Their rate is really one of the best around also. They were very accommodating and professional throughout the whole experience.
I also had them take my 5 year old stepson along w/ my in-laws. They had their own child seat available for my stepson, as well as the option to help us install our own if that's preferred. They had a few drivers that are very experienced with kids, so that was very assuring.
Anyway, my experience with them had been so positive and I would absolutely use them again. They saved me the headache on my wedding day. -

As good as it gets!
I have used On Time to get to the airport, but Saturday night we needed to have reliable transportation to celebrate a birthday.
Dean was our driver and he was excellent. I warned him that he would possibly be dealing with some feisty, wild women (we were!) and he took it all in stride. He was such a gentleman and treated us with respect. Even though some of us were shouting something about "needing some dick" at the end of the night. Of course, I wasn't shouting that particular phrase. Thinking that, yes; shouting, no. -

Wow, it sounds like Kiki hangs out with some INTERESTING people.......But what happens in the limo, stays in the limo!
I agree that Dean was a good driver. I felt safe the entire time I was in his care. The price was reasonable for what we needed. HOWEVER, on Saturday nights I like to wear heels. High heels. The higher the better. When I'm getting picked up, I don't want to walk any further than needed in those heels - this applies to dates and limo drivers. Especially downhill. Especially especially after pre-partying.
All that being said, I would use them again.
ETA: It has been pointed out that if a certain princess had not made a last minute wardrobe change, the chariot would have been waiting in a more stiletto friendly location. Soooooooooooo, the review has been bumped from 4 to 5 stars.Listed in: Favorite BAP destinations

Recently used On Time Limo for a bachelor party in SF. Here's my review:
1) Reservation process - 4 stars. Efficient and professional. James did an excellent job though he could be difficult to get a hold of at times. James' business partner was seamless in handling questions if James was not available
2) Timeliness - 5 stars. Limo arrived 15 minutes ahead of schedule
3) Limo condition - 5 stars. New, clean, organized and stocked all the right glassware plus ice and water
4) Service - 5 stars. Courteous, safe, patient, respectful... everything that you could ask for. Dean was our driver
Overall - 5 stars

Recommended! After reading all the 5 star yelp reviews I felt more than comfortable proceeding with reserving OTL for our wedding day and we're really glad we did. James is the man. Great communication, totally reliable, and he arrived 15 minutes early.
They stuck to the original price quoted, and were more than happy to make several trips to and from our wedding venue during our event to shuttle some of our guests to the closest BART station and/or their hotels. James was super friendly and put us at ease when we experienced some crazy unexpected traffic around the UC campus due to a game. The 10 passenger limo was in great condition, the stereo was easy to use (super glad I had pre-burned a wedding limo mix! :) ), and the complimentary bottles of champagne were cold and tasty. Our bridal party was very impressed.
If I had to do it all over, I would definitely go with OTL again. This was definitely another one of the easier wedding decisions we made. No complaints!Listed in: Berkeley Bride!

I just turned 40 (yeah!) and my women friends and I planned a night out on the town. The limousine was clean, modern, fully stocked and comfortable. We took the birthday package and were blessed to have Dean as our driver.
I cannot give enough positive feedback about our experience with Dean. He was on time and took care of a limousine full of 8 grown & feisty women, partying like rockstars, and in every way made our experience completely relaxed. We didn't have to worry about anything. We felt safe and secure even when we were in and out of the car like banshees. It wasn't just this, it was a zillion little things, assisting us in physically getting in and out of the car, always being where he said he was going to be, even a sense of protectiveness for us was totally felt and overall him having a calm and extraordinary professional attitude.
Dean you totally ROCK! I hope you know how much your service meant to us and if you have supervisors (maybe you are the boss? because you certainly set a standard in service I wont forget!) I hope they know what a value you are.
I will be using On Time Limo service for everything now on. -

Have used On Time Limo more than a handful of times and have had a good experience every time. They are in fact on time, courteous and reliable. Making a reservation is extremely easy and they are friendly.
From SFO - SOMA one way it cost ~$55. Not cheap, but not too bad. If it's that or paying for parking for a week, it doesn't look relatively so bad.
If you use them to pick you up from the airport, they call you as soon as you land to check in with you about baggage and let you know the number to call once you get out to the curb. They wait in the cell phone waiting lot so they are no more than a few minutes away! They even usually provide you with water bottles for the ride. -

Location, People, Edible Stuff.
Okay well they pick you up so the location is your deal lol!
People - Are absolutely great! On time and very personable.
Dean was my driver and I have called and requested him a
few times now for rides to the airport or SF.
Edible stuff - Hope you can cook, or know where to stop for a bite lol.
All in all the best taxi service I have ever used in the Bay area! -

Not as cheap as a cab, but they offer value for the price.
I had to go into the hospital in SF for surgery, and be there at 6AM.
The reservation was easy, they called to confirm before pickup, and the car and driver were great.
It's worth the money to not deal with the usual hassels with cab companies. -

What can I say that hasn't been said? In the East Bay cabs are unreliable, to be kind. It's so nice to have some accountability with trips to the airport.
Case in point: I hired them in October for an airport round-trip...to the airport was fine...but on the pick-up, the driver was crazy-late...we were standing outside the airport for about 20 minutes, which is forever with three screaming kids...then when the guy finally shows, the car is in a "used" state -- had been driving around a bachelor party all day...trash, half-empty booze bottles, video, etc.
After I complained, OTL comped us the trip. Perfect resolution, but surprising nonetheless.
Just used them again and the round-trip was flawless...we will use OTL exclusively from here on out. -

Never would use these guys again. They wanted to cancel my car on me just a few hours before they were to pick me up (and after the event they were supposed to pick me up from had started). Apparently, someone's late plane at the airport was my problem, despite that I was right where I said I would be at the time I said I would be there. The only fix they offered was to set me up with another service who wanted me to pay for an additional hour of service I didn't need. And they refused to cover the difference despite that the only mistake made was their overbooking their car. I spent an hour of my event on the phone with these turkeys during my event, despite having the foresight to make a RESERVATION early. I ended up with a smaller car than I reserved, with no discount for the grief. Unacceptable.

We have used OTL twice this month (July) and we have deemed them our go-to for anytime we need a ride: to/from the airport, to an event, almost anytime we don't feel like driving - they're that reliable & accommodating! I couldn't believe that I didn't have to call them once to find out where they were: both times they were on time, if not early. And when they picked us up at the airport, after the initial contact call, they were practically at the curb by the time we had picked up our suitcases from baggage claim. Awesome service!

We decided to try On Time Limo again based on the recent reviews. They remembered that we had a missed connection about 18 months ago and offered to make it right this time. The 6:30 am pickup was early and helpful; the airport pickup almost a month later was right on time and the driver even helped bring the bags into the house. Both drivers were personable and skillful. We'll definitely use OT Limo again.

when trying to figure out the easiest way to get to the oakland airport without using our car, i allowed myself to believe that i could be the type of person who could use a car service. at least for a quick ride to and from the airport.
after a quick search here at yelp, i decided to contact on time limousine. they quoted me a decent fare, likely the same as what a cab ride would cost. within a few minutes i had a confirmation number.
as promised, my driver called me a few hours before the trip to the airport, confirming his arrival time.
very friendly chauffeur, dean, arrived punctually and quickly delivered me to the airport. as promised, he rang again, seven days later, once our plane had landed in oakland. he was ready to pick us up as soon as we had finished with baggage claim. a quick trip back home and we were done.
easy. professional. respectful. i will always take a car service now, at least to and from the airport. and i'll be calling on time limousine each time. -

THE BEST! I hired On-Time for transfer service to and from a medical facility that I had to get outpatient surgery. My driver, Dean, was an absolute professional and one of the kindest men you will ever meet! He was always early and always helpful, and I never had to ask him to do anything. I will definitely hire this service again in the future and wanted to let you all know that you can count on On-Time for whatever needs you may have....my sedan was filled with bottled water, clean, and very comfortable. Thank you On-Time for making an otherwise 'painful' day absolutely relaxing! Much blessings!

I've used On Time Limo several times now for airport pickup from Oakland to SFO and they are outstanding. Available on short notice and extremely punctual and well-organized. For example, I had pre-arranged for a car pickup on return to SFO on a recent business trip. The flight landed an hour late and there was a text message waiting for me alerting me to the fact that they were aware of the delay and to call when ready. Those are the little things that make a business exceptional!!

Thank you Yelpers. We choose this company based off the reviews and we were not disappointed (as always). We are so glad that our expectations were met and even exceeded.
I called to make our reservation about 5 days before Christmas Eve and it was a piece of cake. Our flight was 1.5 hours delayed, we missed Church with the family, and it took us almost 2.3 hours with traffic to reach our destination....but all that was forgotten with the service and attitude of our driver.
Our driver was courteous, timely, and knowledgeable about how to reach our destination. He had light jazz music playing and waters available.
It was a great experience and we will be using them again. -

A month before the wedding, we decided to book a limo for the pre-ceremony photos. I went on yelp and found wonderful review regarding On Time Limousine. It was also a plus that they were a local Berkeley vendor.
I called them up and spoke with James. James was so nice and helpful and helped me book a reservations within 30 minutes. The limo arrived on time (which is so key). The driver was so nice and flexible. We took pictures at the Berkeley Rose Gardens and on the UC Campus. And we wanted to spend more time taking photos on the campus that we asked the limo driver to meet us back at our wedding ceremony site in 45 minutes so that we can pick up our bags from his car.
I would definitely recommend On time Limousine as they are very helpful and professional! -

As their name implies, they were "on time" for pick up to and from the airport. Very courteous and respectful drivers. Clean cars. My only "complaint" would be that I was quoted one total price for the round trip airport transfer. However, it wasn't split 50/50. Payment is expected at the end of each ride. Beside that, they were great. I will definitely recommend and use their service in the future.
