Need a bikini wax? Best Brazilian ever - well, admittedly, it was my first full Brazilian. I've been getting bikini waxes for years now and I finally decided to try having the whole region waxed. Even though I moved to California 3 years ago, I still go to On Broadway when I visit Boulder because their waxing is the best I've found. The last time I was there in April '09, I saw Susan R. for my Brazilian. She was AWESOME. She'd clearly been doing this for years and new exactly how to make a first-time-Brazilian as comfortable as possible.
The salon uses a wax for sensitive skin, even if you don't have sensitive skin (which I do) and perhaps that's why my skin wasn't very irritated after. I've had no ingrown hairs, which I almost always do. This really is the place to have your waxing needs met. And like I said, Susan was great. Very professional, quick & thorough. She explained what to expect in terms of sensitivity and how to soothe the skin. I hope to see her again when I return to Boulder.
I've been happy with this place both times I got my hair cut. Just came from there this afternoon, quite pleased with the new do. This is an Aveda salon, so they only use Aveda products. The shampoo smells amazing, not sure what exactly it is. It's very nice and quaint, and they have complimentary tea and coffee. The location is a little funny- it's in a very residential area so it takes awhile to get there. I can't quite figure out if I like or dislike that- it does make the salon nice and hidden.
Who would have thought such a warm and quaint hair salon could become repetitive after a thousand or so visits? NOT ME. But, alas, it did happen. My hair-tastes have become progressively more progressive, and so...no longer need the foil highlights or Rachel BUT do come for a good waxing now and again. One, nice thing, a really spec. view form the exaggerated bay windows as you're getting the old chop chop. Though the tunes may not be thrilling, the view is sure to satisfy your insatiable appetite for...exaggerated bay window views (!)
