Omega Charcoal Burger is one of the local dives for the thousands of men that work in the chemical plants. And a lot of the locals. It's a very good burger. The same Chinese family has owned and operated this place for many years. There is no inside seating, all seats are tables under a canopy outside. Yet the aroma of the burgers and fries (even deep friend shrimp and onion rings) is enough to temporarily overpower the stench of what is probably the most air-polluted street in Texas.
If you are coming down Clinton looking for the best, family made burger in Galena Park, skip the chains, park here, walk up and place your order, grab a table and they will yell for you when it's done. These burgers are made fresh to order and the owner has told me and everyone else over and over and over again that she uses fresh beef that has never been frozen. She's proud of her food quality and you can taste it. The buns are also very fresh and they slightly grill them with some butter so they are toasty with some crunchy edges. That's exactly how I make burgers on the grill, yet here I can get one in less than 5 minutes.
