2 reviews for Olympic Game Farm Gift Shop
The Olympic Game Farm is GREAT! Get there early before the bears get full. They will sell you cheap loaves of bread to feed the animals. Grizzly bears get real creative doing tricks to get you to throw them food. Most of the animals get really close - no dents in the car - just slobber! :-) Drive through at your own pace and only through the areas you would like. At the end of the drive, you can visit the petting zoo and the gift shop. Recommend that you buy a copy of "Wilderness Trails and a Dream" by Lloyd Beebe, founder of the Game Farm. The book is inexpensive and a great read!
This review isn't about the gift shop. It's about the Farm.
This is where Ben, the grizzly from 'Grizzly Adams' is. It's a interesting place. You drive through the course in your car. I went there, talked to an attendant, was given a map and then a disclaimer. "The buffalo are lively today and brushing their face against cars. They've been known to dent hoods and remove paint." I just looked at him. My new car was one week old. I thanked him, turned around, and never looked back.
The price is high for not knowing if you're going to come out with a car in one piece. I talked to one mother who told me a story about her family (in a SUV) who went on a rock 'n' rolling joy ride when a large bison started tossing them around like they in were a toy car.
No thanks. Maybe I'll ask my friend with the junk car to go next time.
