Yesterday I went to have a romantic nice casual Sunday dinner with my boyfriend, Olive Garden is the perfect place to do that. This is my favorite Italian restaurant the food is always delicious. I went with the chicken and broccoli fettuccine Alfredo pasta, you can never go wrong with this plate. Before hand they give you an amazing salad, their own made Italian dressing it is not like anything I have tasted before its just really good. Then followed by their warm delicious bread sticks that you can not stop eating once you have had your first. It is just an overall great place. The waiters are very friendly and give you a great amount of time to choose your food calmly, but never keep you waiting too long. The few times I have came here I always have to wait a couple of minutes to get seated, nothing more than 20 minutes. The food is great and the environment is welcome friendly, I highly recommend.

At mass chains like Olive Garden you're paying for service. During the lunch rush we sit at the bar, order our 4 dollar lemonades and all you can eat soup salad and bread sticks. Pretty much always get in and out with a little gossip shared  during the lunch hour. Once they gave us loads of bread sticks to take home. I loved that cause it was Friday and I enjoyed them while hungover the next morning. Food is average Olive Garden quality but I love the fancy fruity drinks they offer sometimes because they are a little midday pick me up .

It's Olive Garden... you know what you are expecting.  Bread sticks are good, Salad is good.  My rating is basically a statement of their service at this particular location.

I went with a friend who is a recovering alocoholic.  When we get seated the hostest asks us if we want a drink or some wine, we say no... no big deal.

Our waitress comes and asks us if we would like any wine or cocktails, again we decline.  She asks if we are sure, we decline, she offers us samples... we decline...

we order an apitizer and soda's then our nice perky waitress says she's going on break and handing us off to another girl.  The new waitress asks us again if we want any alcoholic beverages.  Honestly... we'd been there for 20 minutes... if i had wanted an alcoholic beverage beyond the soda I had infront of me... i'd let you know.  Much less, as a server, you dont know who your customer is, and what struggles that person may have.  the above and beyond times we were asked to drink was rediculous.

The new waitress was not as pleasent, so with service and slow with my soda refills.  for people who are so concerned if we want drinks... you think i'd get decent refills.  I guess they only care about your drink if it costs money every drink.

The wait is ridiculous. I absolutely hate their sitting policy. They assign you a table when you arrive so even if someone who comes 30 minutes after you's table is ready, they get to be seated first.

Be courteous people. When you are done, get out of the restaurant and leave and let others get their turn to eat!!

The server was nice and perky so that made the hour and half long wait with my family slightly better.

We were seated in their "family" table. It was in its own nook, away from the booths and tables and it was a big rectangle wooden table with chairs, just like eating at home! The ambiance was very nice in that place since we could be loud, just like any family would be, and no one would care. We didnt hear too much chatter from other patrons since we were a few feet from the closest ones. So that was very nice! Not your average a few inches away from other people without any privacy whatsoever kind of place.

    Food:
Breadsticks are usually the bomb. But this time, it was very crunchy (even with 3 servings, my family likes to eat), and not soft like it was before... so too much baking. And it was very salty! :( We had to scrape away the delicious topping just to eat it!

We ordered the Bruschetta and Fried Calamari for appetizers. The bruschetta was just pieces of toast with Italian salsa (diced tomatoes and basil). Meh. Had better, I wasnt much of a fan. As for the fried calamari, it was coated nicely and so there was a crunch and then the soft squid was inside. Very good with a squeeze of lemon! Must try!!

We all choose some sort of soup instead of the salad. I picked the Zuppa Toscana. You cannot go wrong with that! It was spicy yet calming because of the milky broth, the sausages and the potatoes and the greens just all went together. It was a perfect harmony with every bite.

For my entree, I had the Chicken Scampi over noodles. By this time in the meal, I was STUFFED. SO much CARBS! So I only took two bites and I was done. I was ready to get it packed to go. But the bites I took were fairly good. The chicken was browned and tossed in with a light wine sauce over the noodles and some bell peppers. It was nice to look at also with the different colored peppers and the chicken arranged nicely.

Bottom point: I would go here but maybe with a smaller group? Getting tables for larger parties usually take longer (even on a weekday dinner!) and there were plenty of seats for couples or parties less than 5.

We've been at the Visalia Olive Garden the past two Saturdays and both times, it was great. The service is excellent (Kim gets a "two thumbs up" - by far one of the best servers I've had at any establishment) and the food is consistently good. The menu is a bit on the pricey side but for the quality and service, I'd say it's well worth it. We'll be back again, soon!

There's usually a wait time at Olive Garden which wasn't a surprise   The food is consistent with other Olive Garden restaurants that I've dine at.  Highly recommend.

I went here today with a good friend and I have to say this location is much better than the one in Fresno. I would rate the food as "high quality chain restaurant food" if that makes sense to you. I've had better Italian food before, but I'll continue to rate Olive Garden high because it is consistent, the staff is always very nice, dishes are always clean, restroom is also always clean, et cetera. They aren't the best, but they are very good at what they door and this location is far more decorative, attractive and intimate on the inside than compared to the Fresno location. There aren't many choices for Italian food in the Visalia area, so if you are craving some Italian, the OG won't disappoint.

As far as Olive Gardens go, this one is pretty good.  I have learned that this Italian restaurant doesn't do pasta well, so I have learned to only order soup and salad.

Very friendly staff.  Attentive and there were even smiles, people!

The soup was hot, the salad just kept on rocking and the breadsticks were HOT HOT HOT!  Just the way I like it.

I wish Olive Garden in San Jose knew how to make this happen.

Also, the lay-out of the restaurant was different.  I liked it.  There was a fireplace and EVERYTHING!  Woo!

    Good Job, OG!

Chef Boy R Don't. I can barely tolerate the Olive Garden yet people in this town always want to go there. I've been sick from there two times. I'm not sure what people see in it but there isn't one thing on the menu that would make me go back.

So my boyfriend and I and about 12 of our friends all went here for dinner. I didnt like that you couldnt make a reservation for saturday nights. But it was worth the wait. Our server immediately offered wine tastings which was very nice. And out food was great. My bf is NOT an italian eater but he found the one thing on the menu without cheese and enjoyed the Chicken Marsala very much. We had a great group with us and the staff was alright.
