This Olive Garden is hit or miss.  Most of the time the food is good.  Service can also be hit or miss.  This is one of the more busy Olive Gardens so be aware that if your going at peak times that you will be waiting for a VERY LONG time.  The salad is one of my favorites!  There is not much more to say.  I would rather eat here then the Macaroni Grill.  Parking can get filled.

Who can argue with soup, salad and bread sticks for lunch? Answer: No one!  The husband and I stopped in here for a quick lunch, after shopping.  There was a short wait, but nothing we weren't willing to tolerate.  Our "quick lunch" turned into quite the stay.  We waited a good 10 minutes for our waitress to approach and ask for our drink order.  We ordered drinks (water for me, soda for him) and told her we were going to do the soup, salad and bread sticks lunch.  We both ordered the same soup....how much easier does it get?

After 15 minutes (plus), she finally brought our salad and bread sticks...umm, what about our drinks and soup?  10 minutes later, drinks. Salad bowl empty, glasses empty, 15 more minutes and FINALLY she asks if we need anything.  Um yeah Genius, more salad, our FIRST bowl(s) of soup and more drinks.

Needless to say, great food, bad service, dismal tip.

I agree with the other reviews... lunch time is insanely busy, however this is NOT the reason why I'm giving this horrible a** of a place 1 star. The reason is because, "we have to wait for a table big enough for five". This was the answer given to us after we asked as to who much longer it's going to be since we've been waiting for an hour already and was told that it will only be 30 minutes before we'll be seated. This in my opinion is unacceptable. Do not tell me that you have to make a table big enough, simply tell me that you are sorry for the extended wait and that the minute a table is open, you'll be seated. This is the correct response, not the crap that was told.

It took another 20 minutes before we finally got seated and it was not like we got seated at a table for five, they just added a chair to a table for four, so of course, when we did the soup and salad deal, table space was limited.

After we were given that statement I dropped the f-bomb loud enough for management to hear. I know, I know, not very mature, but hello...! Be professional and treat your customers better! I will never come back here and if there is a way for me to write into Olive Garden to file my complaint, I will/would.

Anyways, I'll go to the one in York from now on whenever I'm in this area.

    Last comment...HORRIBLE!

It seems as though no matter when I go, there is always a wait to be seated, but it is worth the wait. As far as all of the big chain restaurants go, Olive Garden is by far my favorite. I usually go for the Chicken Alfredo, but I have also tried their specials and it is consistently good.

Other than the wait to be seated, this isnt a bad place at all to eat. The endless salad and breadsticks are good and there are some non meat choices on the menu. I wont call them vegetarian because they arent listed that way. They just dont have meat.
The drawback to this place is the wait. Anyplace that gives you a device to alert you when youre table is ready is too long of a wait for me. But the fact that so many people go here that they have to give a device to alert you to a waiting table is a good sign.
