We had dinner at this Olive Garden this evening, and I was very pleasantly surprised. Our server was very friendly and enthusiastic, offering suggestions for which wine would best go with out dinner and appetizer suggestions.
I had the "Tour of Italy", which was a sampling of chicken parm, fettuccine alfredo, and lasagna, My wife had a grilled shrimp and pasta dish, and both were delicious! The shrimp were fairly large (a nice surprise) and prepared perfectly.
It was a very nice evening, and I would definitely return to this location.
The Soup, Salad, Breadsticks Combo is the best value you can get anywhere at $6.95 before 4PM. Great atmosphere, good food, and even a complimentary sip of wine. If you're in need of some quality time alone or with company, include Olive Garden in your plans.
I went to the Concord, NH location for lunch today with the in laws and my husband. Mainly because they gave us a gift card for the chain and in MA they are only on the south shore so we decided to go while in NH because we were hungry. I think the food here is decent for a chain italian place. Places in the North End of Boston and a couple of the places in Salem, MA are much better since they are more authentic but it passes.
We were seated right away and the food came out in a decent time. The portions were big and cooked just right. The only thing that I thought was very very very annoying was the server seemed over eager to please and she was asking if we had a chance to decide on dessert before my in-laws even finished their lunches. Give people time to finish the meal and sit for a minute. It is not like the place was THAT packed on a sunday of a long weekend!
But it is good enough for what it is.
