Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

We recently went on a long road trip -- starting in central Virginia, making our way down to Atlanta via highways to the Smoky Mountains and the waterfalls of North Carolina. For our return trip, we drove the 469 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway, camping in National Park Service campgrounds along the way. We relied upon a lot of campfire food, sandwiches, and fruit for most of our meals.

Against this background, we were THRILLED to stop at this Olive Garden for some plentiful, warm, and tasty food that we didn't have to cook over a campfire! We were there on a weekday for lunch 11:00-3:00) -- and my husband decided to get their "Never Ending Soup, Salad, and Breadsticks", which is only $8.99. I got the Eggplant Parmesan, which is hand-breaded, lightly fried eggplant, served with a side of spaghetti. This also comes with soup, salad, and breadsticks for only $9.99.

Between us, we tried three of their four offered soups -- liking the creamy Zuppa Tuscana with potatoes and sausage the most, but also enjoyed the creamy Chicken and Gnocchi soup and the tomato-based Pasta e Fagioli soup. (We passed on the Minestrone). We were so full after eating the salad, breadsticks, and soups that I didn't even start to eat my eggplant Parmesan, which we carried out and enjoyed the next day!

Pros: Food was tasty. Great value for a lot of food for under $10 per person. The menu gives calorie counts to enable customers to make informed choices. Restaurant was clean. You can pay your bill at your table with an electronic screeen.

Cons: Waitress could've been a bit more attentive. We had to flag her down to get refills on the soups, and then she messed up on the type of soup I had requested.

Food was fair. Service was great.
The noodles with chicken Marsala was very heavy on the Marsala.

We went here for lunch and although very busy, staff got us in quickly and efficiently.
We ordered Chicken Marsala with fettuccine , spaghetti and meat sauce, salad and minestrone soup. All was enjoyable and service was very good. Pleased with meal and prices.

Slow service to say the least. We waited 30 min before anyone even took out drink order. Delivery and curbside personnel were just hang out doing nothing while our waiter was struggling and unable to keep up. Seems like poor management and staff training.

Brought my little sister for her birthday,she ended up getting sick not sure if it was from the food or the smoothie she had but I tried rushing her to the bathroom and right before we got into the bathroom she accidentally puked in the middle of the entry way.I offered to help clean it up I took my sister to the bathroom to clean her up and after I came out of the bathroom one of the managers came up to me and my sister and asked us to leave bc she threw up.Yes I understand the problem but my 6 year old sister didn't do it on purpose and the manger did not have to be rude and Insist that we take our food and leave. Haven't had good service the last few times I went here probably won't be back.

This is what I ordered from here today for $24.96. Very dissatisfied customer when I eat here all the time ! Not ANYMORE!!

this place smelt like piss, it was my first time and it was very underwhelming. I was just taken by the awful serves and over all cleanliness of the joint.
now I can't speak for all of Olive Garden but this was an ass experience.

Mac n cheese tasted very weird they put cheese on my grapes but other the. That it was good

Food snobs be quiet! I like the Olive Garden and my most recent visit was very enjoyable.
The bread sticks and salad were delicious as usual, and the new lasagna recipe was super. It was a large enough portion that I took half of it home and enjoyed it again the next day.

I did the call ahead-seating, so we didn't have to wait long to be seated at a table. Our server took our drink order right away. She didn't understand my order for a bourbon & 7 with olives, though. I explained Jim Beam bourbon & 7up. She returned and asked if I wanted a Seagram's 7. I gave up trying to explain and just ordered the chianti like my husband. Our food tasted normal for Olive Garden. Our server was very attentive. I guess not everyone understands drinks.
