One of the most bland restaurants I've been to in years. Typically you can't go wrong with chicken fajitas but I was wrong. They were full of onions and nothing else. Price was $$ and the dining experience was sub par.

Olé...oh my.
I wish I could give it like 1 & 1/2 stars. We went here to meet some friends while in town. It's a nice location on Walled Lake, and hard to miss with the bright orange paint job.
We got there early and our waiter came over and started chatting. The place was nearly empty, and he was young, so he started getting kind of familiar, and when our friends arrived it started morphing into this odd comedy routine/mock annoyance when we asked for anything/polite & fun mashup. He'd also swing by every 5-10 minutes because as he put it, "I'm bored." We eventually took to getting quiet when he came by so as not to encourage a long visit. Nice kid, but we kind of wanted to chat amongst ourselves, y'know?
Okay, the food. There is a big menu, but a lot of items are pretty Americanized (BBQ ribs?)
About half of the combo options were not possible in their true form because they were "out" of chiles rellenos (I don't know if this meant they were missing some component in the kitchen or just weren't making them or what). I decided to soldier on and cobble together a bastardized version from one of them, substituting in a second cheese and chicken enchilada along with the taquitos.
My plate arrived SWIMMING in molten cheese. People, I like cheese, a lot. But I left feeling vaguely nauseous from the heaviness in my stomach. It was enough to make me contemplate becoming vegan (briefly).
I also had a well margarita (rocks, salt); I am a lightweight and felt absolutely nothing.
So yeah, as someone who has lived in TX and eaten a LOT of Mexican food, I just wasn't feeling this place. If I lived in this area it wouldn't become a regular spot. Olé...oh no. -

Utterly disgusting
Ole Ole is clearly the most disgusting 'mexican' restaurant I have ever had the displeasure of stepping foot into. Aside from the 'blah' hole in the wall ambiance, the waitress brought each person at my table the wrong entree! Obviously she was utterly incompetent- especially since each of us patronizing the establishment had chosen the exact same entree to indulge in!!
Additionally, while we were willing to settle for food we had not ordered, we had no idea that the food would be of such low quality. Better food is had at Qdoba or Chipotle (the ubiquitous 'fast food' mexican establishments). I was left, for once, with no interest in my leftovers.
At last, when we received our bill we realized that there were two separate charges for drinks- when only one drink had been ordered! The waitress explained (after going back to ask) that the one sangria had to be broken into two separate parts on the bill (one said 'drink' while the other said something similar). The sangria clearly was not worthy of the $8 total charge (nor did it even come in a nice glass). Our theory was that we had been secretly charged for the 'extra' beans we requested- the beans that were supposed to come with our original (though undelivered) meal!
Then, to boot, the manager did not even give a damn about the $8 sangria with the mysterious split billing...Additionally, my family theorized that our (incompetent) waitress was high (I prefer to think she was just an idiot).
Of course, I should have known that this establishment would be bad news- what restaurant with lake front property has no patio seating in the summer???
Overall review= Close this Sh**hole! -

Don't really know where to begin...
The other reviews were pretty much dead on. The menu is a little ambitious. I ordered a combo thinking one or two of the four items would be ok. Thankfully the Cholula hot sauce added some flavor.
My wife had a combo as well. She found a mini twig in her taco. She wasn't thrilled with any of the food. My chili relleno was a poor interpretation. The other items were fairly bland as well.
Even the drinks weren't good. The Arnold Palmer was watered down at best with two lonely ice cubes floating around in it. The margarita had a head on it like a poorly poured draft beer.
The free chips and salsa wasn't good either. The chips were fairly stale. The salsa had no personality and was pretty much horrible.
I guess you should avoid unless you are drunk or drinking really cheap beers here to make up for it. You would be better off spending 30 bucks on qdoba or taco bell. -

Ole Ole... wow. What a down right horrible experience this place was. I've actually been twice, it's kind of like sticking your hand in a bug zapper and then doing it again. Why? The place is a dump, the decor doesn't make any sense, the menu is too big and the quality of food suffers greatly as a consequence. I ordered the seafood burrito once and it made me sick to my stomach after only a few bites. I know I know, you may be thinking "yeah but you ordered a seafood burrito" to which I will reply, I have had several seafood burritos that were delicious. These bordered on something a cat would find appalling. I went with a group of 8 one of the times, every single one of us felt sick after wards and we certainly blamed the food. I live very near by and have noticed a steady decline in customers over the years. Hardly anyone goes anymore, the only time the dirt lot across the street it filled is when some event is taking place on the lake. Taco Bell would be a better choice. Save your money and your colon.. AVOID OLE OLE at all costs... disgusting. I think the employees are illegals too.
It's worth the drive to go to Margaritas restaurant in Berkley for good Mexican food. -

It's an average AmeriMex bar. The food isn't spectacular, but the portions are great. Service is average, beers on tap are few, and there are a few screens for viewing current sporting events. Overall, it seems best suited for large orders of nachos and cheap beer on tap, but I wouldn't recommend it for great Mexican food.
