Review from Jessica S.
Los Angeles, CA
This is going to be one of those reviews that I know no one will probably ever use, but it will make me feel a lot better writing it. Located on the end of the Avila Beach pier (on the central coast, near san luis obispo) this seafood restaurant was recommended as a place my friends and family go for dinner. What then occurred leads me to say this is the worst restaurant I have EVER been to. The service was god awful...I think the waitress and the bus boy had done too many drugs in their time or something. They virtually ignored us. We had to ask for menus, ask for bread 30 minutes later, ask for the bill, get up and search the restaurant for ANYONE that worked there so they could pick up the bill. After asking for crackers, the waitress threw them totally unexpectedly at me, thus hitting me and landing on the floor. So as I bent down to get them, she threw another pack. Then, the bus boy was filling water glasses and thought that by holding the pitcher really high up it was really cool- yet spilled water EVERYWHERE each time and I finally had to ask for a napkin since he couldn't care less. The food was below average. $28 for scallops, calamari, some crappy rice pilaf and cauliflower. Horrible presentation, horrible service and horrible atmosphere. When I complained on the the way out, the manager offered an insincere 'sorry'. I feel like I was taken advantage of.
