The fudge was amazing and my kids got a carmel apple that had Oreos on it which they devoured! It was a great visit - we'll do ice cream the next time!

Who can't resist a colorful, shiny, and trinket filled candy shop? I can't. I always have to stop in even if I don't want anything. Just taking in all the sugary, gummy, crunchy, tart, sour, chocolatey delights makes all your worries disappear for a while.
All the flavors of Jelly Bellys http://www.yelp.com/bi..., gummy bears, pretty lollilops in all shapes and sizeshttp://www.yelp.com/bi... . Candy filled character tins like Hello Kitty or Pac Man.
Feeling a little more grown up? Truffle and fudge filled candy cases beckon from the rear of the store. There are also candied and caramel apples http://www.yelp.com/bi... and chocolate dipped anything from coconut to bacon. http://www.yelp.com/bi... And the bacon is GOOD.
There is a small ice cream counter in the back with maybe 6 flavors. One flavor is called Hugs and Kisses. Cute.
Don't want any edibles? Then they always have a large selection of cute gifts, like candy shaped soaps, cupcake shaped charm boxes, wallets, lotions, etc.

I feel like a kid when I walk out carefully balancing my ice cream cone and greedily clutching my bag of chocolatey delights.Listed in: Temecula Trips

If I had a sweet tooth, I would definitely give this place a 5. Every possible sweet concoction you can imagine they have up in this place. We were waiting for a table at a restaurant down the street so this place was nice to "window" shop to pass the time.
Eventually, I found myself intrigued by the freshly made fudge. They have several flavors but I opted for the safe chocolate and walnut fudge. I tried the fudge later in the night back in my hotel room and it was very rich but definitely hit the spot. I'm glad I only bought one cause I don't see myself eating much more than that. For a square block (which can be cut into 4 decent size pieces), it costs about $3.50. -

Very cute and bright little shop. Had tons of candy, reminded me of being a little girl again. The little trinkets they had were cute. I had a raspberry creme filled chocolate that was very delicious but a little pricey. You do get what you pay for though which is awesome. The ice cream area was very small and crowded at the time so we did not get to try it. The girl that rang us up was very unfriendly.....everybody is entitled to a bad day I guess. All in all I would sum it up as "I came, I saw, that was neat."

Whoa! It had been a while since the last time I had a major nostalgic experience. But, once I walked in and started to check out their huge selection of candy...I was taken back to fifth grade!
One memory that popped into mind was when my friends and I would wave down the ice cream truck just to buy FIZZ! It was the coolest candy ever simply because it fizzes in your mouth. So, I had to get a few to surprise my bf with it.
What the heck? My bf said he has never heard of the candy before? Was this a special candy only sold to cool kids?
Anyway, this shop is pretty spacious with tons of candies! Be fun and try random stuff like "Idaho Spud," straight from Idaho. It's in a shape of a small potato and has a mushy, almost marshmallowly center with a thin chocolate shell.
Some candies I thought were kind of overpriced. But, overall prices were reasonable. Didn't get to try their ice cream or fudge... but will be back soon!
Oh, they also have chocolate covered gummies for $3 bucks! These are hard to find, but now I know where to get 'em ;) -

We fell in love with this place, it's our little haven. We even laugh about how much candy we buy from here, but like the sweet lady said behind the counter "Nothing wrong with having a sweet tooth, there's worst vices ou there" and she's so right! My husband turned to me and said "I wouldn't be able to handle it if you had vices like gambling, smoking, drinking, partying all the time, excessive shopping, etc." and we laughed.
Lots of great old-fashioned candies here, some of the best hard to find candies are sold here. I love perusing through it all. The fudge is phenomenal! You get to sample some and we ended up getting the praline and the peanut butter cups! So good! The ice cream is also very good here. My favorite was the Maui wowi!
Every single one of the ladies there are very sweet and very nice! They are helpful and patient. There's no pressure to buy or anything and they don't hound you for looking. Just really great service!
On the walls, you'll find posters of ads from back in the day. It has a nice little touch to it and all the old-fashioned candies remind me of my childhood. We'll be back for more!Listed in: Temecula Valley, Sweet Tooth

The owner was very friendly and willing to answer all questions as well as provide free samples of the fudge while you decided what you wanted -

Love this cute candy/ice cream shop! With TONS of goodies, nostalgic candy and cupcake/ baking supplies and cupcake-themed gift knick knacks!!! Including an ice cream section, fudge (with free samples) and gourmet chocolates easy on the eyes~ What a fun little gem in old Town Temecula! Making a note to return for a metal tin lunch box collectable.

Huge candy shop with a wide assortment of unique candies. We decided to try some fudge as is our usual custom at these types of places. My husband is a peanut butter guy so he sampled that one and I tried the chocolate mint. Somehow we ended up getting the key lime flavor which was light and tasty. Definitely worth a stop in if you've got a sweet tooth!

Great little place with lots of sweets and some British imports that I was very pleased about: Aero bar and Fruittella, though no Jelly Babies or Fruit Pastilles unfortunately. Great atmosphere.

Bought bulk candy here for wedding favors; it was all stale and terrible. My mom felt bad for me that I spent so much money on it. I guess I should have tried the candy before I bought it, so that's on me, but I trusted them to have fresh candy since they are local and had such good ratings. Too bad you can't return candy. :(
They received two stars & not just one because their fudge looks awesome and the dipped fruits look great too.Comment from Deborah D. of Old Town Sweet Shop 12/13/2010

Super fun and always yummy. Cool vintage candy - really good fudge and Ice cream. It would be nice if the staff was more friendly. They always seem to act like they don't want to be there.

I loved this store. It's a candy store, knick knack store, gift shop and more. Candy are housed in bins and you can purchase them in bulk format, or there is taffy, or better still, there are bricks of chocolate which you can buy by the pound.
The knick knacks aren't expensive either. In fact, it was so reasonably priced I let lil guy get 2 things for his teacher.
Towards the back of the shop there are shelves of imported goodies like Hob Nob cookies, Digestive cookies and things like Bovril, Marmite and Vegemite. Imported candy bars are also available.
Yes there was just so much to look at and possibly buy, but I had to restrain myself. I let lil guy buy his stuff and hubby bought some stuff either (not sure what he gave the cashier towards the end) but everything came to less than $10. What a bargain! -

This is a quaint little candy/gift store located in Old Town Temecula. When you first enter the shop, you're surrounded by candies of all kinds. So much candy that you just want to reach for the insulin now! Bins of sugary sweet taffies and sooooooo many different kinds of Jelly Bellies! They also have a nice selection of flavored fudge.
If you can manage to snap out of your sugar haze and venture further into the store, however; you'll see that there's more to this little place than just candy. The back half of the store is devoted to gifts, knick knacks and other little treasures. As one reviewer mentioned, there's a section devoted to all things Anglo/British. Anyone who might have lived in Britain for a time would be pleased to find many treats from home.
Whereas a shop like this wouldn't be considered outstanding enough to warrant 4 stars from me, the amount and variety of candy and sweets in this place earns it the 4th star. Worth a visit! Just bring a toothbrush with...you may get a cavity just by strolling in.Listed in: Adventures in Temecula

Great selection of hard to find & retro candies, plus a counter with homemade candy like fudge etc. It's a good spot for browsing. Prices are very reasonable. I was here with my kids (4 & 8) and gave them each $1 and they were each able to get a small brown bag with several little individually wrapped candies (like Mary Janes etc.) They also have a decent assortment of sugar-free candy. We were offered a sample of house-made dark chocolate almond bark and it was very good. They sell old-school candy cigarettes (the kind that puff out "smoke" and have retro labels.)

I love this store for the candy and fudge and just recently tried their ice cream, which is delicious. I'm dangerously hooked on a flavor called "hugs and kisses" - strawberry ice cream, white yogurt pieces and dark chocolate small "kisses". Better than cold stone and baskin robbins combined. Really tastes like someone just made it with the freshest ingredients.

What a neat little store that is located in Old Town Temecula! They have really gorgeous gifts and foodstuffs imported from Britain. Mainly I just browsed, but I did notice the cool selection of retro candies that they sell. I purchased some of their delicious homemade fudge and only got to enjoy a little of it because when I returned from a run the next night my housemates had already eaten it all.

Candy Store slash Gift Shop slash British Foods Store. The front section of the store has every candy known to man root beer barrels, candy cigarettes, salt water taffy, fudge, jelly beans, the good stuff. When you are doing Old Town stop here and get a bag of something to snack on while you stroll. The middle of the store is full of typical gift shop trinkets and gifts... things for the gardener, teacher, cat lover, etc. If you are British and living in Temecula you need to know that in the back end of the store there is an Imported British Food section you can get your Bird's Custard, Mushy Peas, Salad Cream, Cadburys, and holiday treats like Plum Pudding without having to trek all the way to Solana Beach. They will order for you if they don't have something in stock I got a case of mushy peas within 5 days.
