This location went out of business.  It's a Halloween shop now.

After being terrified by the insanity of the five (?) story empire that is Old Navy - Powell Station (in San Francisco), I was surprised by the pleasant calmness of shopping at this Old Navy. It isn't scary!

Yes, they source everything from foreign countries and are a megamart, but sometimes a good, cheap t-shirt is what you want to buy. For that, I can recommend this Old Navy. The clothes are better than they were 5 years ago (cuter, better fitting) and the music is alright.

This is a great place to go if you're in need of a uniform. Work for Starbucks? Get your black and khaki gear here for less. Old Navy's got tons of plain, button-down white and black shirts, along with pants and shorts in all lengths. I used to overlook this basics staple, opting for The Gap instead, but Old Navy's selection really is more affordable than other retailers, such as Target. Just be sure to try everything on because sizes here aren't consistent.

Nothing says "I'm clueless to the blandness of my cultural geography" like Old Navy does.
This is what I don't get:  why, exactly, would a person review a place like Old Navy in Austin?  I'm sure that the Old Navy at Hancock Center is exactly like the one in Lincoln, Nebraska or Denver, CO.  How does a review of this place give outsiders a unique perspective on why Austin is a great place to visit and/or live?
If you are contemplating moving to our city, and you love Old Navy, well...I think there is an Old Navy off of Brodie Lane down in South Austin.  Go to that one.   You'll love how the area reminds you just of your hometown:  Best Buy, Michaels, Home Depot, Wendys, all those great places that make you feel at home.  Stay away from Hancock Center please:  I just might see you there!
