Awww, sorta sad about the negative reviews, but I'll try to offer my few cents as categorically as possible.
Location: 3 out of 5
Granted, if you're coming from Chicago, you'd never want to drive ALL THE WAY to kenosha to eat at OCB. But let's say that you want to hit up the outlets in Pleasant Prairie, or maybe you'd like to eat before you go to Six Flags, or maybe you're on the way to MKE and need breakfast or lunch...these would all be reasonable explanations as to why you'd stop in at this location if you're not from the city.
Pricing: 5 out of 5
I am not sure what dinner prices are these days - I assume from the commercials I've watched that they are around 9.99 plus whatever you pay for the drinks (1.47?) For breakfast and lunch, this place is a much better deal. 5 bucks for breakfast, 5 bucks for lunch, and 1.47 for the drink bar. I'm sure if I had only gone for dinner, I might be more disappointed, but for what you get on the breakfast bar and at lunch (I have eaten both meals there, but not on the same day), I don't know how you can really go wrong.
Selection: 3 out of 5
This is where I agree with some of the previous reviewers' sentiments. I feel like at some point, the OCB in Orland Park served fried chicken of some type for breakfast, and had a much more plentiful fruit and salad menu as well, during breakfast. I mean, I went on 08/14/10 and got a good fill of foods to eat: omelettes, eggs (two ways), bacon, sausage links, toast, biscuits and gravy, ham, nachos (yes!), taco bar, etc. and I was satisfied. And perhaps it is just my bad memory, but I thought that they may have some pies for breakfast as well. Who knows...the fruits were not as plentiful as other breakfast bars, there was no fried chicken or country fried steak - but overall, there's still nothing to really complain about.
Customer Service: 4 out of 5
Probably one of the better attributes of this location. They take your dirty plates away when there is a stack of them, and are cordial when they ask permission to do so.
Overall: 4 out of 5
Again, bear in mind that I'm only reviewing this based on breakfast and lunch, but I still think it's a good deal, especially at 5 dollars for both meals now. It's quick, it's easy, and although no one will think, "Hey, what exquisite high class dining!" no one will go away hungry either.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Catherine S.Burlington, WI6834Sep 16, 2010
This location has food, food and more food. No way you'll leave hungry.
A lot of variety, kids will not have any problem finding something they would like to eat. Parents make sure the kids don't see the dessert offerings first.
Wow, I never knew any o ther country buffet had desserts but these were
tastey and delicious looking.@@Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andy C.Lake Villa, IL2403Oct 4, 2010
Sorry, will never go to this one! Father went to this location with friends around 730pm one evening. Within the hour, they were asked to leave since the restaurant was closing for the night. What the heck?! What kind of customer service is that? Do different locations have different closing times? The one down in Niles, IL didn't close til after 930pm. Today, there was a remote possibility for doing lunch there with my father, but since he had that bad "customer service" experience we decided to have lunch at Golden Corral down the street. Corporate office/management should investigate what they can do to improve customer experience and service at that location.

I am embarrassed to admit it, but I love the place. You can eat as healthy or slovenly as you wish. I love the prunes. What person in his right mind starts a buffet review, with I love the prunes. All that good fiber! It helps make up for that wonderful fried chicken I try so hard to only have one piece of. Hopefully on most trips I fail, I get two.
The place is friendly, clean, and cheerful. You have to giggle at all the tasty things they do with potatoes, beans, fish and steak. They always have a tasty red meat as well as far more healthy fish. The deserts are often good, if you pick the right ones and not get mesmerized by the cream toppings.
They have a Mexican island that has some tasty fajitas. All in all it is a great place to go for a very satisfying meal on your way to Tinsel Town shows just across the parking lot. You know there are a lot of regulars who come there. You see the very obese and very slim, and know how they got that way, by seeing their selections and frequency of passing by your table.
I love the place, even though I often have contempt for steam table food. I am not sure exactly why, but it is the sort of place you can go there and ponder that thought over roast beef and spinach salad. Finishing off with prunes and cream. Now that they've raised their prices, they are cost-wise about on par with Golden Corral. Given that, Golden Corral is the FAR better choice. The food at OCB is significantly more limited in selection, freshness and quality. This used to be a 'poor man's Golden Corral', but now that the cost is about the same there's really no reason to go here. Wouldn't surprise me if this place closed up within a year or so.
