This place is really different . Like a mountain island of park & paths. When you hear the story of how and when it was constructed it is all the more amazing. It is not typical garden in the sense of having exotic materials, it is the optimum use of location to get an effect. Really was a neat place.

Very peaceful spot. $7 adult admission, and worth it.
The rock trails lead you up and down impressively designed hills, down into dim hollows with reflection pools, and then out onto precipices where you can look out over the valley. It took about an hour to walk through with frequent stops to marvel at all the unique groundcovers and flowering plants. It has an understated natural feel - not overly groomed, but certainly well maintained.
The people up at the front were super friendly. They give you a laminated map and send you in on your expedition. The map notes trails that might be too steep or slippery for your granny, which I thought was a nice touch.
And there was an awesome brown cat named Romeo. He came right up to me and got happy feet, and said, "mao," so I gave him a good scratch.
Just a very pleasant place. -

We didn't have time to go in but this looks like a beautiful place to visit. A true oasis in the dusty, dry desert.
