I finally made it in to see Karen with my 2 dogs, a yorkipoo, and Goldendoodle. My goldendoodle was severely matted under her coat and I had no clue how bad it was. Karen did an awesome job at taking off the mats and making my girl feel better. I felt so bad when I saw the mats that were on her. I made an appt to bring her back in 6 weeks to make sure this doesn't happen again. As far as her pricing, it is by far the best in town and you get awesome service? What more can you ask for? She is very knowledgeable and her staff is very friendly as well. My yorkipoo was not matted, but she needed a trim and came out looking as fresh as could be. They both look beautiful and feel great! I think I have found my forever groomer!!!

Well, the groomer's got attitude. Got up early to drop my pooch off and then she asks me if my pooch bites. I told her she nibbles and she said if she nibbles and bites then she can't cut her hair. It's not the first time she's been there and the woman is just pure lazy and did not want to take the time to demat her and she seems like quite the racist in my opinion. And yes, I'm not Caucasian so that prolly did it for her and plus she rather shave my dog and not demat her.
I walked out and didn't look back. U can smell a dedicated groomer a mile away and she definitely is not one of them for sure. I rather pay more and take my pooch to an attitude free groomer than one that walks around with her nose close to the top of her forehead. -

This place is awesome!
We have been taking our cat, yes cat, there for years now. They always do a great job of trimming our cat's fur and making sure he is clean. The pricing is pretty good, and the service is always great. Our cat comes back clean, trimmed, and happy.
Highly recommended! -

Great place I'm bringing my Charlie an Australian mini labradoodle, back here. They are friendly outgoing and know what they are doing when it comes to dogs. I also saw another little dog come out and they too did a great job.

If you know me, you know I'm serious about my dogs. My airedale, Rolo, has been to a few different groomers. Rolo really hates having her bottom trimmed (this is common with dogs). Each of her other groomers gave us crap about her behavior when she was being groomed. That's when we found Karen. She is great with the dogs. Karen has her own poodle, Fred, in the store with her each time I've been there. She really understands that grooming is stressful for dogs and does her best to accommodate.
When we got a new Bichon Frise, we knew that we would send her to the same place. Mischa doesn't love when I leave her alone at the groomer but I know that she'll be ok. It's a big deal for me to trust leaving my dogs with another person for the day. As long as my dogs are as comfortable as possible, I feel ok about leaving them somewhere without me.Listed in: Fremont Treasures

I got tired of taking my dog to the big chains for grooming as they seem to be filled with people just needing a job, not really loving animals. They always seem to forget something on my list, and don't always do a good job. I felt like I was always dropping my kid off to Kindergarten on the first day, leaving my pup crying and begging me not to leave.
I found an ad on Craigslist posted by Ohlone Pet Grooming. I'm so glad I called. They are loving, professional, efficient, and they do a fantastic job. No one has ever shaved my dog as nicely, or gotten her fur as soft. They also didn't require me to show any vaccination papers, which I can't even find anymore.
You can expect to pay as much to OPG as you would the big chains, but I guarantee you and your pet will have a great experience.

My pet is an American Cocker Spaniel, the groomer doesn't seem to have much experience with long hair cocker spaniels and doesn't clean her eyes very well. I would have rated them a 1 star, but you can't beat their price.

Theo had a bad first experience with groomers, they neglected him and the environment terrified him. I was weary to ever let him into another one, but knew that it was time. The groomers at Ohlone allowed him to become comfortable (therefore me) before I left home for his doggie spa experience. The owner's dog gratefully lent Theo a stuffed teddy or two and in an hour he was cleaner and smelled better than ever. He was like, "Mom, it's no big thang, I had a good time." and I was like, "So we're cool?" and he was like, "Yeah, we're cool."
So thanks to the awesome people and the hospitable Standard' Theo now has a safe and happy place to go get pampered. And Mommie can go get a beer at Mission Pizza. -

I had taken my dog Mabel to Petsmart once to try and get her groomed. The staff there wasn't friendly, and called me back half an hour after I dropped her off to tell that they refused to groom her since she was too hyper. Now I'm assuming they just weren't patient with her, because I had no problems taking her to Ohlone Pet Grooming today.
We had no issues making an appointment here, and the staff was very friendly on the phone when doing so. We dropped Mabel off this morning at 9am, picked up her at 1pm, and she was absolutely adorable! This was her first time getting groomed, and I was very happy with how she looked afterwards. Her hair is even all around, and she looks very seamless! -

I took my westie here about 3 months ago. It was her first groom so I was nervous what's she going to look like. When I picked her up she looked amazing!! Like a westie everyone wanted. As 3 months passed by her fur grew out and it started to have knots I called in they we're busy they told me the next available time was next mid week. But I had to get her groom for Halloween. (she was the coca cola polar bear).
So I searched on yelp for another place I had a bad feeling bout it. I ended up at Cynde's Dog Do's. Let me tell you my westie came home as a ugly looking mut when I have a pure bred westie. They somehow cut her fur to be uneven no skirt, no round head I was like WTF?!
So my point is Ohlone Pet Grooming is the perfect place to bring your dogs to if you live in Fremont. -

I've been taking my Standard Poodle to Karen at Ohlone Pet Grooming for two years, and she (the Poodle) have never had bad hair day!
Karen is very friendly, and takes pride in her work. There are always several dogs and often cats waiting, so make sure to get an appointment in advance. Karen owns a standard poodle herself, and really knows how to groom them properly.
I tried the chain pet stores, but the quality there doesn't approach Karen's skill. The prices are only a tiny bit higher, and you're support a local business, while getting far superior service.
As an aside, sometimes a lady does dog teeth cleaning works here. She does great work as well. -

after receiving horrible customer service at my previous salon, i was in search of a new top-notch grooming salon. My dog Socks was severely matted i called every number to every groomers place to the point where most groomers either refused to give my dog a haircut, or advised me to go to a vet's place where they would put him to sleep and shave him down.. that process IS NOT CHEAP! one last number to call was Ohlone Pet Grooming. before quoting me a price over the phone, they wanted me to come in and see how bad my Socks coat was. Karen and Sonia really impressed me. They took a look at Socks's coat and talked about how the severity of the mats weren't that bad, its all in the technique of using diff. sized blades, etc. i had no clue what they were talking about, but they were more than willing to get the job done and quoted me an EXCELLENT price that could not be beat! after seeing how they bonded with Socks i knew right then and there i could trust them, and have found my new and improved grooming salon. they made my Socks look so handsome! i was so happy! they even suggested what kind of brushes to use so i could prevent the mats from happening, and i'm proud to say my dog has been matt free ever since. if your looking to get your dog a good groom, along with excellent customer service give Karen & Sonia a call, you won't be disappointed.

This place was great. my puppy means the world to me and I'm a little over protective when it comes to him. but i was so happy his first grooming went great. he went in looking like a grumpy little dog and came out looking like such a cutie. He's a little bit of a handful when i try to groom him so i was glad he did well with the groomer named sonia. she took perfect care of him I'm definitely bringing my pup back here in a few months.

I took my dog there and she looked horrible when I picked her up. I left there and went directly to another groomer who didn't believe me when I said I didn't do that butcher job myself and told me I should take my dog back and have that groom job fixed by the place that did it. When I pulled up in my driveway my neighbor saw her from across the street and asked me " What happened to your dog?" So, I called Karen and she told me to come back and that she would fix it. I did go in the next time the shop was open and she was SO RUDE to me and ROUGH with my dog. She took a few swipes with the clippers and asked me what else I wanted fixed cause she doesn't give refunds. I said to her, "if you can't see what is wrong with this haircut and be kinder to my dog, give me my dog back." She gave her back and I left. She is expensive and rude. I had heard she did a good job, maybe it is just when she feels like it or when it is her dog who looked good. My dog was there from 8 am until 4:30 pm... as were all of the other dogs... ridiculous to overbook like that. I should have stood outside of her store with my dog with her terrible hair cut/groom job and a sign reading " your dog can look this bad too... just have her groomed here". To be honest, this happened a couple of years ago; but, when I heard someone saw good reviews here I felt the need to share my TERRIBLE experience that I have not and will not forget.

A good groomer is hard to find here in Fremont. I went here based on the prior five star review. I was pleased that they lived up to their reputation as they gave my Pomeranian and nice bath and haircut at a reasonable price. The young ladies who work here really love their work. I'll be going back.

My dog herman is a bit fiesty, and Sonia at Ohlone pet grooming has done a great job of handling him. They do an awesome job on his cut and have good prices. Great service overall! I highly recommend them!

A great place with a very reasonable price for grooming. Felt very comfortable with the groomers to leave my dog with. They are very softspoken and very pleasant to talk to. Liked this place evrytime I took my dog.

I took my two Terriers to Ohlone on Friday. One is a rescue dog from a very horrible situation, and he lunged and snapped at the girls right away. They said it was because he was scared and not out of aggression. He eventually warmed up to one of them, and wouldn't let her out of his sight. The other terrier did well, as well. This was both their first grooming situations, and came out looking ADORABLE. They even smell fantastic. I am a huge fan!

I have been taking my Shih Tzu to Karen at Ohlone Pet Grooming for years and have never been disappointed. Karen is very knowledgable, always friendly and takes great care to make the cut is exactly as I like it. My dog is a rescue who is a easily frightened and difficult to groom, but every time Karen manages a perfect cut . On top of a fantastic groom, she pampers my little one, always taking care not to use the scary noisy hairdryer, instead making sure Mabel has a nice comfy bed to sleep on while she sits in the warm dryer cage and naps through her dry. You wont find a better groomer!

I took my dog who has a history of being difficult to groom and Karen did a wonderful job. She had the patience to work with my pet and gave him a beautiful cut. I highly recommend Ohlone Pet Grooming as one of the best groomers in the Bay Area.
