I am surprised I never came back to this review to update it.  At this point, my hatred has dissipated a bit, but I still warn you against this place without reservation.  STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.  Anywhere else.

Customer service? Bland, neither friendly nor unfriendly, and vaguely unhelpful.
Adjoining restaurant? Ugly, tackily decorated, bad selection of barely tolerable food.  The service here was really great, though, thanks to our cool waitress.
Rooms?  Disgusting.  Moldy.  Stinky.  Wet.  Not at all "newly renovated" as the website purports--instead the walls have been painted and there's new carpet.  The dust, spiders, stains, thick layers of dirt in the fan, etc. are all still here. My friend and I actually became physically ill and had to leave after one night.  (I lament having stayed there the entire first night.)  

Ew.  

I was told that the place is being razed not too long from now, so perhaps the management just doesn't give a sh*t anymore.  The woman at the counter offered no fuss but no apology when I told her why we'd be leaving and why we needed our money back for pre-paid nights two and three.  

EW!!
