The Ocean Mist will always have a special place in my heart- as this is where I turned 21 years old during my URI days.

I love this place- good food, great bartenders, and lots and lots of great music. I can think of fantastic Foxtrot Zulu Shows, The Ravers, and Badfish all at one time! Being right on the beach makes this a great Rhody Bar!

Two Thumbs up for the Ocean Mist.... I am sorry I pounded beers in the bathroom when I was still too young to drink!

I love the Ocean Mist, and do remember the days when it was Carpenters!  I am a local through  and through!  I grew up RIGHT across Route 1!  The Ocean Mist is in MATUNUCK...not Wakefield, or Narragansett!  I have seen MANY a live bands there!  The bar staff is great and the  food, yes thought it sometimes takes a while, is really worth the wait!  Drink up buttah~cup!  ****Get there early on the weekend for breakfast to  get a good parking spot!!!!*****

Ocean Mist, Thank you for a guaranteed good time every Sunday I come to see you. I mean, who else will serve me Shots of Wild Turkey with my scrambled eggs? I heart you and Im counting down the minutes until we are together again.

This spot sits directly on the beach/water in Wakefield and has a wrap around outside deck to watch nearby surfers out on the water! The place looks a bit run down from the outside and is an older place more frequented by locals and bikers. It is a club as well where live bands play on weekends and it is quite large inside. The interior is a regular beach bar with a nice bar and lots of seating and space. The big attraction here is the outside wrap around deck that you can sit out and drink in the summer and have waves slapping up against the side of the place. Visit here when a storm is coming and you will see the ocean get active. This is a big surfing area for people and you can watch them right from this place. The drinks are average and the food is all pub/
bar food, but its a good place to grab a drink and relax in the summertime! Worth a visit!

This is the place in the Narragansett area to start your day.  They really have trained the bartenders here in the skill of drunk in the am.  They are almost like nurses in their attentiveness.  I had my IV bag full before it was empty.

You can get a good brunch with discount mimosas and bloody Marys.

The bathrooms stink up the left side of the bar so sit on the right near the kitchen or in the back.  If its warm out go out on the deck which overlooks the ocean.

It is pretty dumpy but a lot of us dig that in a bar.

Check out the music lineup this spring and summer.

This is my favorite local dive bar on the beach.  I've grown up here and it's where I saw my first show of what would become my favorite band, a night that would change my early twenties forever! Go in summer for a late breakfast, sit on the deck, listen to the waves crash under you, feel the sun on your shoulders, smell the fresh ocean breeze and throw back some teliqula sunrises and you'll feel as though you are on vacation.  The food is what you'd expect at a local dive bar, but it gets the job done when you are nursing a hangover and in need of more drinks.  It's always a good place to check out some decent reggae bands.
