I had a lot of fun here. We went on one of the hottest days of the week and was really glad we did. I liked all the rides but the one I liked the most was the pirates plank. I spent most of my time at the wave pool since going up stairs to get on the rides was tiring
I've been here a couple times. It is really close the oceanfront, and you can't miss the huge gorilla. Good for kids and adults. The first (and only) time I went on the big slide that goes straight down (Bahama Mamma?), I came off the slide with an atomic wedgie. My friend ripped her bathing suit on that ride, too. Fun times. Military people can get tickets at cheaper prices at MWR. They have lockers you can keep your stuff in & places to buy food. We felt comfortable leaving our stuff on the beach chairs & no one touched it.
This place was a staple in my life for the first 13 years of it at least. No summer was ever complete without a trip to Virginia Beach which would have to include at least a day or two at Ocean Breeze. The park is a quick 2 miles from the beach which could be easily done with a bike or walking, or of course car. Just look for the 150ft gorilla by the entrance (who wasn't there while I grew up coming here and whose predecessor was there before I was born). They have a great selection of rides and slides and of course the wave pool. They also share the property with a fantastic mini golf place which also includes go-carts.
