Solid fun for the whole family...go on a day when it's hot out after it rains, when there is still a chance for showers later in the afternoon and the place feels like it's your private water park.
Even when that late afternoon shower never materialized and the crowds showed up the lines moved very quickly.
Nice variety of slides, tubes etc...good price for what it is. My family and friends had a great time... -

Water babies at any age will love this little slice of paradise.
Ocean Breeze is the absolute tiniest water park I have ever been to, but it's perfect for Virginia Beach. You get so much more character than at one of those massive water parks. There isn't a huge selection of water slides, you can easily slip n' slide them all in one visit, but plenty for a day's worth of fun.
The wave pool is my favorite and usually has better waves than the beach. The two vertical drop slides are close runners up, minus the permanent wedgie. There are tons of stuff for kids from a toddler friendly area to the tube slides.
Ocean Breeze Water Park is a huge part of Virginia Beach's personality and the giant gorilla outside has become a symbol for this family friendly experience. -

I actually much prefer Ocean Breeze to Water Country.
You might say there's no comparison. Water Country has big, bad, fantastic slides and rides and a price tag to match.
But I like that at Ocean Breeze you don't have to walk all over creation to get to an attraction. You can more or less see the whole park from one spot. Which also makes it more comfortable in terms of trying to keep track of your kids and your towels and your lunch and etc.
And they have plenty of watery fun to keep everyone happy--splashy play areas, bigger pipe slides that drop you out from up high into a pool below. And they have a wave pool.
Look for the ginormous monkey (by now a VB landmark) and you're there. -

Ocean Breeze waterpark is the perfect summer destination. Complete with water slides, a huge wave pool, cool drinks and snacks, you, your family and friends can spend a whole day swimming, laughing and having fun. With water rides for kids and adults, it's a place for everyone. As amusement parks go, it's not very big but the rides are sure to have you running back in line more than once.
Tickets are around $20 apiece and the food can get pricey, so plan your trip wisely if you're on a budget. They have great deals on season passes and you'll certainly get lots of use of them if you live close enough to drop by. So when you get sick of shaking sand out of your bikini bottom, try some man made aqua-tainment and hit up Ocean Breeze. -

If you can see the huge gorilla, you're in the right spot. Ocean Breeze is an awesome, little water park down near the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. I've been going here ever since I was a kid and I still enjoy a day-trip out to the park. They have a wave pool, which is a great place to grab an inter tube or a life jacket and just kind of float along and relax. There are some areas that are a little more kid specific, so it's a great place to take the whole family. One thing that is kind of a bummer is the parking, if you get there too late in the day and it's crowded then you're going to end up parking a good ways away from the entrance.
There are plenty of water slides here (no, not as much as Water Country USA). Get ready to get a workout because you're going to be climbing a lot of stairs while carrying an inter tube.
There is food and drink places as well, but they're not cheap and the food is just average. -

An 800-pound gorilla in the room? Yes, at Ocean Breeze Water Park! (If you haven't been there, you'll see what I mean when you go). I used to go all the time as a kid, now I take my young nieces and nephews to Ocean Breeze. I remember I'd spend the entire day there when I was young. My mom would drop us off and we'd entertain ourselves and be out of her hair all day. Cheaper than babysitting prices. :)
Now, I'm not really into over-chlorinated, crowded water parks. But I go sometimes for the toddlers and young children in my family. We often just go for a few hours in the evenings when it's half price. It's wonderful because you can save money and avoid packing and lugging a day's worth of sunscreen, gear and baby bags. It's also less crowded by then and you can take the kids after a day at work. Just watch out if you go there for the evening pricing because some days they close early and you won't be able to stay long.
Overall, this is a great water park for the whole family! -

Ocean Breeze was my very first job, I remember walking in my first day with my permit in hand .... Ahhh the memories. Now, going back with my friends daughter it really hasn't changed much. It's not a very overwhelming park. It's just the right size; a few slides and fun things like water logs, a kiddie section and the wave pool (my favorite). It doesn't seem like you could stay all day but it's so easy too and the kids will be so wiped out by the end of the day. Lines don't tend to be too long and it was actually a nice place to lay out while the girls ran around the park. It's very well monitored by life guards.

This place was a staple in my life for the first 13 years of it at least. No summer was ever complete without a trip to Virginia Beach which would have to include at least a day or two at Ocean Breeze. The park is a quick 2 miles from the beach which could be easily done with a bike or walking, or of course car. Just look for the 150ft gorilla by the entrance (who wasn't there while I grew up coming here and whose predecessor was there before I was born). They have a great selection of rides and slides and of course the wave pool. They also share the property with a fantastic mini golf place which also includes go-carts.

Fun little water park! Every waterslide was fun even for 2 adults. Spent a few hours there from about 6-9pm taking advantage of the cheaper evening price was perfect. Most of the lines were short and moved quick. Would definitely recommend to anyone. The 40mph go-karts were also a great time but its hard to actually get some speed when all your making is turns....

This will be the second year we have summer passes to Ocean Breeze. Someone bought the park over the winter and has been doing a lot of work to upgrade the place, and it is really going to be nice when it is all done. The new slides on the back of the hill by Hugh the Gorrilla are a lot of fun, way better than the old mat slides that used to be there. They have redone all the buildings, they look really cute. As a local, I enjoy going late in the afternoon during the week, the lines are quick and it's as if we have the place to ourselves almost. I like that it isn't so big you will lose your kids, and big enough to keep them busy for several hours. The lifeguards are everywhere, and seem to be really well trained. The season pass is a great deal. $65 for the whole summer or $28 a day...go figure. Also, buy the souvenir cup for $8, it's only $1 for refills, again well worth it for the summer.

It's a small park if you are use to the water parks in the real south this will be a complete let down. It's small better for families with children junior high or younger, as you can let them wonder on their own because of it's size. There's no lazy river and you can't take tubes into the wave pool (which half of is off limits anyway) so there's no place just to relax in the water. The slides are eh not big tube slides only small ones and a hand full of body slides. Though they have enough of food places to make anyone happy.
