I drive an 01 Toyota MR2 Spyder, which is a rare and hard car to work on, from what I hear!!! Anytime I have it serviced I hear what a pain it is to work with compared to most vehicles.
I took my car here for bumper repair after someone hit me and their insurance was paying. I picked this shop due to the great reviews I read online combined with a friends great experience, and I'm NOT disappointed I did!!
I was so happy with everything about my experience!!
When I dropped my car off, Enterprise was supposed to pick me up to get my rental. I was in a hurry to get to work and after 20 minutes and 2 phone calls they were still no where to be found. The owner knew my dilemma and had his son drop me off at Enterprise, which was so kind of them!!
They were direct with the information they gave me. When I dropped it off for repairs, they said it would take about 3 days to fix. They found some additional damage and called to tell me what else needed done, they needed an additional 2 days to complete it, and the other person's insurance was going to cover everything.
I was SO happy with the work when I picked it up. They did a GREAT job! I would recommend them to ANYONE!!!
Nice, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, great quality, reasonably fast...purely EXCELLENT!!! -

Brought in my brand new Lexus RX 350 that had a front grill/hood damage due to some dumb kids throwing bricks over the freeway overpath. After stopping by different body shops and also viewing reviews on Yelp, I chose to stop by OC Bumper and Body and check them out. Daryl was very helpful and informative. He gave me detailed information on what the repair would be and what to expect. After almost a week and half, I received my car back and it looked brand new. They had replaced the grill, the hood, and also the latch bar for the hood. The paint on the hood looked great and everything looked great.
My only recommendations would be for them to have a better way of dealing with the rental car companies. I know other shops where they shuttle the clients to the rental car shops and when you return the car, you just return it at the shop. It would be nice if they could also help to ensure that the insurance company not only covers the repairs but also help with the rental car. I had some problems with the insurance company and the rental car, which is not OC Bumper and Body's fault. But it would of been nice. Overall, I had a great experience. Both Jimmy and Darryl are very helpful and on top of things. The product, which was our Brand New 2011 RX 350, came out the same as when we had first bought it. -

I had gone to a few local body shops to get estimates on a fender bender I got in LA on my BMW 328xi. Daryl took the time to really explain his estimate. His estimate came in higher than the other guy down the street. There was no high-pressure sales pitch, no hard feelings when I drove away the first time to get another estimate, but I came back because Daryl clearly knows his business and most importantly, he earned my trust and of course, my business. When I came back to pick up my car, it was clear I had made the right decision. Should I have another need for a body shop, I'll be back to OC B & B first. I was completely satisfied with his work.

I brought our Acura here after the right side of the bumper got torn off. All I wanted was to have them reattach the bumper, which they did, super quickly and for a great price! Honest guys! Will come back!

Almost two months to the day after bringing my car in for rear bumper work, a *close relative* (who evidently inherited her driving skills from the Asian side of the family) hit the same exact part that Jimmy, Daryl, and crew fixed not sixty days before. Fortunately for me, I have OC Bumper & Body saved in my phonebook under " Reliable enough to depend on in Prison". I think I spent more time laughing with Jimmy on the phone over the silliness of the coincidence than it took OC B&B to order and receive the part.
Once again, it took me like two and a half weeks to finally make it down there, which, given the several appointments I made and missed, is another star for them for being so accommodating. Finally made it down there, got to hang out with Daryl and Jimmy for about a half hour, which was bittersweet because while it does mean they do quick (and high quality) work, it also means you have no excuse to continue your conversation with them without looking sorta...weird.
I don't have the invoice on me, but if I recall correctly the part is about $50, and I paid like $60. Beats blue book labor prices up and down the block, and i got to hang out with two of the most upstanding gentlemen (especially in their given profession) I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, I'm looking forward to bringing the sis--er, *relative's* car down to them next week. Hell, I might have her run into my car again, just to feel that great gooey feeling inside for finding a great body shop all over one more time.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I didn't use there service as my damage was very challenging on my Land Rover. But I have to say they helped by referring me to a body shop in fountain valley that specialized in the kind of damage I had on my Land Rover.
The were still able to save me $$$ through this referral. I appreciate that and the honesty they provided me, Thank you OC Bumper and Body! -

A friend of mine T-BONED my G35 COUPE...
We didnt know where to take it....but after a quick search on YELP...we found out that OC BUMPER AND BODY was the place to go...and it was the BEST PLACE TO GO. With over 50+ reviews of ALL 5 STARS....how could you go wrong??
In the beginning, it took awhile for me to find this spot...this is one of those place where you have to go through some lefts and some rights to find the location...sort of like a mini-maze in the parkways. Anywho...I dropped my car off and spoke to guy at the front desk. Never have I met a mechanic/worker from a body shop that had smiled so much. It was clear that this guy loved his job and was clearly identifiable that this location had great customer service. Usually when you go to auto shops or dealerships...everyone has a -_______- on their face. They have an expression or "oh great another customer....lets see how fast I can get rid of this guy" or an expression of "I hate my life...when is the day going to be over." Well this certainly doesnt happen with the guys at OC BUMPER AND BODY. Everyone that I met had a great sense of humor and presented them very professionally.
Anywho...the guy checked out my car and gave me an estimate of how much everything was going to cost. I got the estimate and then he told me that the car would be done in about 4-5 days.
4-5 days later...
My car was ready. I first went to ENTERPRISE to drop off my rental...and they were also kind enough to drop me off in front of the OC BUMPER AND BODY location. I came to the office a little bit early because I had to return the ENTERPRISE car before they closed. OC BUMPER AND BODY also mentioned that if THEY WOULD RETURN THE CAR FOR ME AT NO ADDITIONAL COST...COOL RIGHT?
Anyways, I talked to the guy at the front, he recognized me, as did the other workers in the office. Even though I came earlier than the time expected to be finished...my CAR WAS DONE!
He walked me outside to my car...showed and explained to me what they did to fix the car...I think he even washed my car for me as well!
IN CONCLUSION...
VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE HERE...VERY HAPPY WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE...VERY HAPPY THAT I BROUGHT MY CAR HERE TO GET REPAIRED...VERY WELL RECOMMENDED TO ALL PEOPLE WHO ARE LOOKING TO GET THEIR CARS FIXED!!
UNTIL THEN!! ^-^Listed in: BEST AUTO SHOPS

Rewind a few weeks and there was a group of girls standing outside my parking space so I had to make a sharper angle than usual getting in. Parking fail. First was the scraping sound, then the cumulative "oooohhh nooo" from the group that had contributed to my predicament, and finally the spine chilling realization that I had probably just pissed away a s*** ton of cash. All I could think was, "gdamn.. there goes buying myself a new ipad..."
After trying unsuccessfully to calmly accept my loss, I called Daryl at OC Bumper & Body to get it fixed. Just picked up my car and it's like those girls were never standing in front of my parking space in the first place. Lesson learned, next time I will run them over.
Daryl was the man, he looked at the damage and gave me all the options. I went with the cheapest alternative and the results still blew my mind away. Very friendly, very accommodating to your schedule, very honest, and very good at what they do. -

I just happened across The Bumper Guy's page and I was shocked to find he doesn't have any reviews.
He replaced the front bumper on my 1990 Acura Legend after an accident a couple of years ago. One of his guys completed the estimate, and he went through all of the costs with me. The parts accounted for the bulk of the cost--he only charged me $50 for labor, so I told him to go ahead.
When I came to pick up my car, the Bumper Guy--I think his name was Dave, but I can't remember--told me that unfortunately his estimate guy had neglected to include the price of a broken front light in the estimate, and that they'd need to order the part. He offered to split the cost of the light and not charge me anything for the additional labor. I was a poor, poor student at the time, so I agreed. The light came out to $53 each.
Since he only charged me $50 for labor from the outset, he actually ended up $3 poorer after fixing my car. And, he did an excellent job with everything. I made him a batch of brownies to thank him.
I'd recommend him to anyone--he's honest, friendly, and he does good work. -

The fact that an auto repair shop has all five stars (with over 50 reviews) speaks for itself. I can vouch for the 5 star status since I took my car in earlier today to get the front bumper fixed (a few months ago, I managed to drive straight into a stray tire on the 5 fwy - ugh!)
Daryl took a look at the bumper and said it was an easy/quick fix but all his guys were currently busy. So what did he do? He fixed it for me! Daryl is such a sweetheart and genuinely cares about his customers. He is not the typical greedy auto shop owner that gouges you at every opportunity.
I will definitely take my car back to OC Bumper & Body (I hope not in the near future!) since I've had just a great experience. The best part was that they didn't even charge me for the minor fix. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a great quality, HONEST repair shop.
Thank you OC Bumper and Body! -

Usually when you start talking about automotive repair places, the first thing you think about are all the bad experiences you have had at other mechanics and/or repair places .I am sure if you talk to enough of your friends or coworkers, there is guaranteed to be (at least) one horror story of the extreme case of shady and dishonest practices. If you can imagine the exact opposite of that worse case scenario... then you have OC Bumper & Body. The guys at OC Bumper & Body are without any doubt the friendliest, honest, and hard working people I have ever seen at an auto repair garage.
I brought my car in after have an unfortunate incident where my bumper was introduced to some construction debris left in the middle of the highway thereby completely jacking my bumper up. Jimmy, the guy whom I dealt with the overwhelming majority of the time, took a look and deemed it couldn't be repaired. They placed the order for the bumper and various other parts immediately. After a couple of work days plus the weekend, my replacement parts arrived and I dropped my car off. Couple of days later, I call to check in and they let me know that my car should be ready to pick up after work that day. I picked up my car and the work was amazing. My car's front end looks brand new again.
OC Bumper & Body made this whole ordeal painless, simple, and worry free from start to finish. Everyone there is really that good. I hope this never happens again, but if it does (knock on wood), I know exactly where to take my car for body work and it will be one less thing I will have to worry about. I cannot recommend these guys enough and I would like to give kudos to Jimmy... he was awesome in taking care of me and my car. -

I was involved in an accident and brought my car to OC Bumper and Body. I've never been to a garage like this; Jimmy, who was working the front desk was polite, friendly and humorous and helped me through my whole process insurance, fixing the car and everything. During the whole insurance process, he called multiple times to check up on everything to make sure things were going MY way, and to make sure the process was going smoothly.
My car ended up being totalled, so there was not any work for them to do but still Jimmy was extremely nice and still kept helping me. He offered to take off expensive parts that are still working for me to keep before the salvage truck came on his own time! I ended up spending no money out of my pocket and they stilled treated me like a customer.
I waited for two and a half hours for the salvage truck to come and they kept me in good company making sure I was ok and kept me company.
I have seen other work OC Body and Bumper has done and their work is grade A work. Although my car was not worked on by them I still will give five stars because of the friendliness, and their willingness to help.
Thanks OC Body and Bumper! Their service honestly makes me want to go back just to hang out there and talk with the workers. -

Super friendly and know exactly what they are doing!!!
My car took a wk 2 fix only b/c they didn't like how the bumper the dealer sent them. . .they wanted it to be perfect! Which is fine by me!
They only use genuine dealer parts not aftermarket.
Their communication was excellent.

OC Bumper & Body was phenomenal in fixing the front bumper of my car. I went in absolutely apprehensive and with only the thin hope that the yelp reviews would be truthful and I'd get somewhat decent service. Daryl, the owner, was far more helpful than I had ever expected. He returned a pristine car to me and he also gave extremely valuable pointers about insurance. I don't want to hype OC Bumper & Body, yet there's no other way I can say it: they're solid gold in terms of craftsmanship, service, and price. Of course, I'd rather never have to go back to get my car fixed, but if I do they're the ones I'd go to in a heartbeat.

So my truck got hit in a parking lot as an asian lady tried to park into an empty spot next to me. She broke the whole left taillight assembly and did some body damage as well as to the bumper. Sigh.
Anyway I brought in my truck to get it fixed and it came out like nothing happened to it. There were ZERO signs of any imperfections. I am a happy customer! It did take longer than expected but the results were worth it!
Lesson learned...if you have a nice car/truck, try to park away from everyone else even if you have to walk a mile. This applies especially in Westminster Asian plazas (were my truck got hit) hahhaha.

I got some scratches on the door of passenger side two years ago. At first, I thought I could live with that but having seen it for a while, I decide I want it to get fixed. Then I did a search on yelp, OC bumper has so many positive(5-star) reviews and it is quite close to where I live so I brought my vehicle in and acquired an estimate from Jim. He is a nice guy honestly and the estimate was reasonable.
This Monday, I brought my vehicle in and Jim told me it would take 4 days and asked me to pick it up on Thursday.
Here comes why I only give 2 stars to OC bumper. I got my vehicle back today and as promised, the scratches are all fixed, looks like brand new.
However, my key ring is broken. Take a look below pictures.
https://docs.google.co...
https://docs.google.co...
When Daryl returned my key, I noticed this immediately. I wish I could have informed Daryl about the damage but I was too tired to do so. That key ring was the gift my girl friend gave and it means a lot.
Another reason is I found some splotch on passenger's seat, inner door, and dashboard. Plus, a big white foot print on the rear carpet.
I believe these should be part of the services, fix what client asks for and keep everything as it is. Those scratches are fixed, but the key ring is broken and I have to clean the splotch and carpet this weekend. -

Brought my car in to get bumper re-attached. They were able to do it in a few hours, and it looked as good as new. Daryl said it was a quick fix for them and wouldn't accept any payment for the job. I was quite surprised with his honesty and kindness. highly recommended -

These guys are THE BEST.
I got into a fender bender back in April 2010 and found them on Yelp. As everybody mentions, they are straight up and honest and do great work. But it's more than that.
Cut to Jan 2011, 7 months later, when the paint on my bumper is peeling in the most ugly way. I thought it was very strange but attributed it to my having run over a LARGE spring-like object that fell off a truck in front of me on the freeway. I didn't know why the paint was peeling off instead of being scratched up, but decided to take it back to OC Bumper & Body for another paint job. I was fully ready and willing to pay for it, but they took one look at it and said it was because of a special treatment the manufacturer applied to the rubber bumper, and said they would repaint it for FREE!! I didn't ask for it, I didn't even mention it; they volunteered to make it right.
AND in the process, they even fixed the underside of the bumper where the spring-like object had damaged the bumper itself. AGAIN FOR FREE.
When they say they warranty their work, they mean it. And they do it with a smile and great friendly service!
If you are anywhere within a 30 mile radius of OC Bumper & Body, this is THE BEST and ONLY place you want to trust your baby to. Daryl and Jim are ROCK STARS!! -

I never write reviews, but this place definitely merits one.
The service is INCREDIBLE. I did not make a mistake when I went to this body shop to fix the dent on my left fender (due to the fault of another party). I was given some pointers on insurance and how to handle the repairs if it happens again (Buddha forbid). I dropped my car off on Thursday (9/1) and was told that due to the large work requests, they wouldn't be able to start working on my car until Tuesday after Labor Day. It would take about 5 working days and they didn't work on weekends.
I got a call on Tuesday (9/6) saying there were done with the repairs already! I was pleasantly surprised and was able to pick up my car on Wednesday, and it looked great. The owners even saw I had a lame keyring to attach my keys to and gave me another one, haha. Excellent service, excellent quality. I would recommend this place to anyone :) -

I have used their services for two major repairs and one review for someone else. In all the three cases, they have been very reasonable and quick to response. The first time I took my car there, they did tell me that they will take long, as they had lot of cars before me, but the work done was up to what they had promised, all this while their estimated price was hell lower than the dealers and they did not change their estimates.
In once case, where my head light had to be changed, they provided me on-the-spot service for later adjustments.
Not only that, the wonderful owner had also provided me valuable information regarding how to best use my insurance and other things, as this was the first time I was involved in a minor accident.
If they are not able to do something they will come clear and tell it at the very start and not waste your time or money.
I will definitely recommend them. -

I am always amazed at acts of kindness, and my experience with Jimmy was no exception. Perhaps even more than amazing since it was so unexpected. I have always regarded auto mechanics with some skepticism, probably because I know nothing about cars and am completely reliant on their advice, bad or not. Imagine my surprise when Jimmy not only diagnosed my problem correctly, but then didn't even charge me for the part, much less his labor! I was utterly flabbergasted.
A year after my car door was repaired by a mechanic who I since discovered was no longer in business, it started acting up with warning indicator lights and beeping at high freeway speeds and over bumps. Jimmy noticed right away that a bolt was missing and the door was misaligned. After two short painless visits, I was back on the road without having to hold my car door shut with one hand. My Prius is much more happy now.
Thank you, Jimmy! -

I went in here to get an estimate on my mercedes and I was immediately impressed with the shop owner and his professionalism. Without a doubt one of the BEST most honest bodyshop I have ever had the opportunity of working with. Daryl is just as sweet and honest as the other reviewers have stated and I can honestly say that I will always recommend him to anyone I know that needs bodywork. If you are looking for someone that has a great attitude, exceptionally knowledgable and cares about their work ethic go to this man!
The bodyshop is located off irvine center drive across the street from verizon amphitheater and wild rivers, if you need a great place to go in the OC this is the place.
Daryl will ease your mind if you come in with hesitance or cynicism, he truly is a great guy. I cannot say enough good things about this man, this is the way all body shops should be ran. -

Yes, this place is as great as everyone has shared. I came to OC Bumper & Body after reading all the reviews below. I met Daryl who was super kooky with his adorable accent. He was speedy fast to give me an estimate and another estimate to show price difference when repainting as oppose to replacing. It was great. He was very accommodating too.
Overall, Daryl provided a speedy, friendly service that can't be beat else where. He also let my bf play with his toy race cars :) -

Yeah, I agree with everyone. This place is amazing. Daryl -- the shop owner -- is a great dude and will not stop until the job is complete. If you ever need some body work in south OC, this is the place to go.
Beware that the Google directions are incorrect! It's actually on Irvine Center over by the 405, by Big O Tires and the 24 hour fitness. Otherwise you end up over by Sand Canyon. -

I went to visit a friend the a few months ago in her new condo complex. I got there when it was almost dark outside and parked in the parking lot. Stayed a few hours and left. As I was backing out of the parking spot that I parked in, I didn't notice this small wall (no bigger than 1 foot and couldn't see it in my mirrors, and didn't notice it as I walked out) and I ran into it causing a HUGE dent on my bumper. Soooo sad, my new car's first dent.
Did some shopping around on places to get this fixed. I happened to stumble across OC Bumper and Body one day, and got a quote. It would cost me only 200 bucks to have the dent fixed....and then about 100 bucks for a rental car for the day. Sweet!! Dropped my car off around 3pm on a Wednesday, got it back at 3pm the next day! And they did a great job!!! I totally can't tell where they fixed that dent! Sure, I know where the dent WAS, but they did a great job fixing it!!!! And the paint matches exactly!!! Sweet! Plus the service here is amazing!!! The guy that owns the place is really personable and friendly, always a plus...expecially for a girl who doesn't know too much about cars or car repairs.
Then boom, about 2 or 3 months ago, someone hit and ran into the side of my car at the Spectrum. The dent isn't huge and you can't notice it unless I point it out, but I want to get it fixed since my car is so new. I went to go get a quote at OC Bumper and Body the other day...and because of the placement of the dent, it would cost me about 700 bucks to fix. Sure, I'd love to get the dent fixed now...but with no income it's impossible. And the dent isn't that noticable, unless you know it's there or you're really looking for a dent, so it's not bad. When I get a job, and can afford to dish out 700 bucks, I'll for sure be coming back to OC Bumper and Body!!!! -
Review from Dhru B.

Let me start out by saying that this should be a 4-star review because my car wasn't ready in the promised time frame. But I'm giving 5-stars because it really is a 5-star place and the owner, Daryl, certainly merits 5-stars.
Basically, my car had its shares of scratches and bruises from my days living in LA and having to street park. In particular was my bumper, where some a-hole hit my car once while it was parked. I took it to OC Bumper for the estimate and Daryl was able to give me a fairly priced estimate and was honest. While he confirmed the worst that the bumper had to be removed to be repaired, the scratches he said could be polished out at no charge, although it wouldn't be 100% out. I was sold and he allowed me to bring the car in the next week, telling me that it would be ready in 2 days.
Fast-forward to 2 days later and I arrived back at OC Bumper and sat in the waiting room. Daryl saw me and immediately when I saw his face I knew something was wrong. Daryl was apologetic that he was much busier that he hoped and did not call me in advance that the car wouldn't be ready for another day. Naturally I was disappointed and especially more so that I had just returned my rental-car and now had no transportation. Daryl immediately gave me a ride home and promised that he would try to arrange for me to get back to his shop the next day to pick up the car. I told him it wasn't necessary and that I could pick up a bus to the Spectrum and walk. But he called me later in the day to say he had arranged a ride for me.
I did get that ride and was able to pick up the car the next day. Daryl did meet the estimate (I had hoped he would lower it a bit since he was late, but I didn't bother even bringing it up) and most of all, the work was perfectly done. Now no one will know that my bumper had been hit, and the scratches were out for the most part (I couldn't even see them until Daryl pointed them out).
Overall, my car wasn't ready on time. But Daryl went out of his way to get me home and back to the shop again when he had absolutely no obligation to do so. The workmanship is definitely top-notch. I highly recommend taking your car to him and would highly consider him if I ever needed his services again. -

After scraping my bumper on my own garage door... twice... I figured I needed to have it cleaned up. After seeing all the rave reviews about Daryl and the work that he does, I decided to bring my to car him for an estimate. He was very accommodating and stayed at his shop after hours so that I could bring my car down. My car is a little bit more on the unique side and he had not worked on one as of yet.
After seeing the damage, his quote was based on the work that had to be done and NOT the car that the work was to be done on. This was greatly appreciated since, I was quoted an arm and a leg at other shops, for what was a very simple job. Since he had never worked on this type of car before, he said that he would only take the job after he researched how to remove the bumper and was confident that he would do it, which is another testament to Daryl's professionalism. The skirt of my car is a different color than the rest of the car so, we both had to do some research on what the paint code on it was since the manufacturer didn't provide it. After all the little details were taken care of, I dropped off the car in the evening and picked it up the next evening. The work that was done was great... there was no sign of my garage fiasco. I would not hesitate to have my car worked on by Daryl and his crew again. It's refreshing to find a skilled auto body shop who's owner isn't just looking to make a quick buck. -

Daryl seems like a genuinely nice and honest guy. His shop is small, but it appears that he's always got 2-4 cars being repaired. Today is a holiday (labor day) for most people, but Daryl was working, and I was able to drop off my car for repair. An auto body shop quoted me $500 plus 3 days they would need to keep the car, Daryl quoted me $325 and I can pick it up the following evening. I'll re-post after I pick up the car, but for now...I give him 5 stars!
UPDATE! If I could, I've give him an extra star. The car was returned as promised (actually a few hours earlier), and it looked great! There were no surprises in the invoice. I'd recommend Daryl to anyone! -

Finally, a business good enough to get me out of my lurker status and write a review. I didn't want to start off yelping on a bad note so I made sure to wait until I found a business that deserves a great review and this is the one. Daryl deserves all five stars. I made three appointments with him, the first time it rained and he knew I wanted the car back the same day so he warned me the paint would take longer to dry, I decided to reschedule. Then on the morning of the second appointment I got sick (maybe it was swine flu) and rescheduled again. Finally on the third appointment, I was afraid I was stretching his patience but fortunately when I came to pick up my car it looked good as new. Not to mention he also helped my girlfriend with a small scratch on her call while we were there just out of the kindness of his heart.
I'm awarding this establishment with five stars for being skillful, understanding, prompt, and most importantly reasonably priced. -

Is there an option to rate a business 6 stars??
I have never written a review for a non-food related business but this place definitely deserves a stellar review. The guys at OC Bumper and Body are honest, sincere and professional. The workmanship is simply top notched (it's as if my accident never happened). And as a female customer, I did not feel like I was ripped off or taken advantage of. They communicated with me better than my insurance company. What a breath of fresh air it is to work with a business that genuinely cares about the work they do and the customers they serve. Should you ever find yourself in the unfortunate situation of needing body work, I highly recommend OC Bumper and Body! -

This place is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!
I came into the shop looking for an estimate (after receiving estimates from two other places that exceeded my original budget by 400%!!!), and immediately Daryl was there to assist me. I, like most people, walk into auto body/shops with a bit of cynicism and pessimism, but as I came into this office I was uplifted.
Daryl's personal service, and dedication to that, was such a refreshing experience that I feel convicted to write this review (if you see my profile, I only write reviews for places that I truly feel a conviction for, whether it be positive or negative). ALL auto body shops should strive to provide what Daryl offers.
All in all = Daryl provides excellent service | He works with you to get you the results that you want on your car | He is friendly and *trustworthy* | If I could, I would give him 5 more stars -

Very honest. I talked to Jim regarding fixing my Audi A5. He looked at it and told me I need to bring it to Audi. He said it was a specialty car and that there are a lot of things that need to be looked at. A lot of shops would have taken it in anyway to get the money regardless of what they could or could not do. Thank you OC Bumper & Body.

"OC Bumper & Body saved my Relationship!" I've been on again/off again with my "special friend" for a while now, she in LA ~ me in OC, and for the past month we've both been trying really hard to make things work. We ended up swapping cars this week cuz her sisters came into town. I don't mind at all cuz this super cool gal drives a sweet Mercedes SLK300 roadster convertible! She's good with the swap, but warns me "don't you hurt my baby!"
So I'm loving the SLK, and cant really help showing it off. All my friends are like "Dang boy, Sugar Momma treatin' you RIGHT!" And im thinking, how lucky I am and how cool my girl is... But then yesterday I saw it! The damage!! On the bumper!!! there was a nasty "scrape" that wasnt there before, or was it? i dont recall seeing it, but maybe it was there. did I hit something, or more likely did someone back into me? i dunno! rather than risk facing the wrath of a woman enraged, i decided to see how much it would be to fix this situation.
i went to 2 places that quickly and happily quoted me $800-900 for a 3 day repair: cha-ching! that brought up 2 problems: 1) i needed it fixed in 2 days before i saw my gal again, and 2) i was not gonna pay no friggin' $900 for a "SCRAPE"! in that case id rather face the wrath. so i looked up things on YELP and decided to stop by OC Bumper. WOW, am i ever glad i did. Daryl is twice the stud as mentioned here! he took a look at the damage, and immediately said he could fix it for under $300! are you serious?! then i asked how long it would take, and he said about half a day, bring it in whenever you can. WTF? he was as cool and accommodating as the other guys were pains in the asses! and on top of it all, he just came off as someone you could trust.
dropped off thursday morning, done by thursday afternoon. looking immaculate, clean and perfect... but then the test! i meet up with my girl that night, and show her the car... asking if she likes what ive done with it. she mentions nothing, indicating nothing, but just gives me a big sweet hug! whoo-weee, bullet officially dodged! YES, Daryl saved my relationship, and i owe him a big one for that. i will continue to spread the good word and bring him all my business, and maybe, just maybe, one day ill name my son after him... no, not necessarily "Daryl", but maybe ill call him "Bumper". -

I have to write a review for this place. These guys are great. They made an estimate of $1400 of a bad one (other places may cost $2500). They also suggested that I could get a touch up paint which did the trick. Very honest and helpful company.

This place is legit. The owner is very pleasant and extremely professional. All I want it was a quick fix at a reasonable price. You guessed it, OC Bumper & Body delivered both within days! Had a major dent/scratch on the right side of my new bimmer. Now - after 3 days in shop - it looks like new! Kudos to Daryl and his crew.

Completely lost my bumper to an 02 Nissan Sentra XE (hit-n-run).
After calling a few body shops, they gave estimates from 600-1100.
Daryl said real rougly 500ish. I took the car in, he looked it over, ordered the bumper straight from Nissan (199 just for that) and the rest covers install, paint, sand, finish, etc. He even wanted to take my fuel cap cover, polish it, to determine the exact color. Highly recomended. As was said above, his shop was full of exotic cars, and it was promising to see. I'll update review when he finishes the work. -

My mother needed passenger side mirror - last time it cost her $387.00 to replace. Trying to help her get it for a little less. Went to both of places listed near her on Yelp. First listing (Quigleys) was less than previous repair, but was still $290. Also inquired about doing some touch-up along the side of the car and the front bumper. Estimate was 2 hours of buffing at $90.00, with no assurance of how much improvement there would be. Bumper would cost $900.
Even though it was a further drive, we decided to go to OC BUMPER & BODY just to get another estimate. There were great things written on Yelp about Daryl, the owner. We were about to find out why.
We explained what we wanted and Daryl said he would look at the mirror first to see if he could possibly reattach it. He spent some time and effort and was able to get it back in place and functioning. He also took some solvent and wiped off the paint scrapes from the side of the car. Refused to take any money for doing this. He gave us an estimate of $485, including tax to remove and repaint the bumper. We left it on Monday morning. It was done on Tuesday night. When we picked it up, he also had ordered a new license plate base and installed that - no charge. Oh, and he had repainted the mirror while he was painting the bumper, again at no charge.
We felt as though the world was right again. Honest, caring, and more than fair. Daryl is of the really one of the good guys! -

I am simply amazed at the work and it almost seems too good to be true, but it isn't.. I had my car in for service at another place and they did me a favor and buffed my car and along with that favor they burnt a portion of the paint on the fender. I thought that it was just a scratch but OC Bumper had asked me if the car had been buffed lately and said that they asked because it was not a scratch on my fender and it was actually buffer burn. He said that my car's paint was in great shape so he didn't want to paint the entire fender and told me that he was going to back tape the edge. His estimate was a fraction of those that I received and he told me that although it would be better looking that it wouldn't be perfect. He quoted about 80 percent better and I was okay with that vs. having to pay for the entire fender to be painted. The price was exceptional and for the price I wouldn't have even expected an 80 percent better type job. Well I picked the car up and it was much much better than 80 percent better. I would probably rate it 99 percent better and I am EXTREMELY satisfied, especially for the price that was charged.
The guys here are honest, friendly, funny, and do better work than I have seen from some large body shops. They did such a good job and treated me so well as a customer that I just had to come home and write a review (my first) and to be honest with you it doesn't surprise me that there are so many 4 and 5's here as they are well deserved based on my experience today.
Although I hope that my car doesn't sustain any future damage, but I can tell you if it does, OC Bumper will be the first place I go.
