Ah, a better place to get my tapioca. I had the thai milk tea. It was what I expected a drink to taste like. It's a good hang out place, with a pool table in the back.
The employees were really friendly.
However, my cousin got a fruit infused tea drink, which she didn't like so much. The tea overpowered the flavor of the fruit.
I would rather go here, than Gossip.
Incredibly average milk tea/boba. I'm not sure what they do wrong but the tea has been lackluster every single time I've been there. I'm convinced the only reason to come here is because it's close to free parking Uwajimaya.
On the plus side it has pool tables and an old arcade terminal with classics like "Metal Slug 4" on it.
Oasis took my Seattle boba drink virginity. I'd held off about 4 months, but I was getting anxious and finally just gave in. I was meandering around the International District this past week and decided that it was time to try to find a place to get the one, the only, the magnificent almond milk tea. Oasis was hard to resist, what with the cute logo and such.
So I walk out of Uwajimaya and into Oasis. One thing I noticed as soon as I walk in is that this place is kind of hip, but didn't really feel like it was trying too hard to be hip. Does that make sense?
Anyway. I hung back and scoped out the menu and, to my enjoyment, saw almond milk tea. I ordered the regular (aka massive and too good to be true) and scurried off a minute or so later with my drink to the nearest wobbly table littered with sharpie graffiti.
The first taste. Holy mackerel. It was exactly the same as the almond milk tea I used to enjoy back in Texas (yes, Texas has boba drinks, too...). I was ecstatic to see that the flavor I adored so much in Denton, TX, has been waiting for me all along in Seattle.
Pretty fantastic price, too. Something like $3.50 or so for a giant almond milk tea with boba. I was stoked. Absolutely in love. Oh, geez.
So the people were super friendly. The prices were incredibly reasonable. The drinks were mmmm mmmmm so so so so so good.
Totally glad I waited and tried Oasis. I kind of think they're "the one." :)
PS GO THERE NOW.
Went with some friends and got some milk tea that was average at best. One would think that being across the street from Uwajimaya it would be little bubbles of perfection but I guess not. Meh, go to H mart. 'Nuff said.
I love Oasis.
Granted, I'm in and outta there in there before the cute little Japanese boy singing pop tunes under his breath can finish his favorite song that he has loaded on the Ipod.
But I ask, what am I really supposed to get out of this place? Other than Tarro milk bubble tea (to go), not much.
Maybe if I was an teenager of the Asian persuasion, I would have more critical things to say.
But, I'm a early 30's Caramel City Girl, sooooo I love Oasis.
OKAAAY?
It was my first time in Chinatown last week and I knew I was going to get boba after dinner. I saw a couple places and decided to try this one first. I ordered honey green tea with boba (as usual). Having tried so many boba places in Hong Kong, Los Angeles and also here in WA, this place was a little higher than average on my list.
The reasons?
I could taste the tea in my drink while a lot of other places only taste like water with sugar. I couldn't taste much honey but at least the sweetness was just right. The boba was chewy which was real important to me. They have a huge selection to choose from and when I'm in town again, I will definitely try other flavors.
Any complaints? well...a little less ice would be better.
Service? the staff could have looked happier. They weren't mean or rude, but everyone just looked upset...or maybe just a bad day?
I am giving this place 2 stars since my thai slush was still decent otherwise I would be tanking this review faster than the Titanic! We came in here around 6:00 and there were few people in there enjoying a nice refreshing drink on a hot summer evening and there were few people ahead of us in line. After ordering our drinks we waited close to 20 minutes for two drinks! WTF?! Are you serious!!!!!!!!!! There were two workers one working the cash register and one making drinks for everyone! Has economy really plummet that much the owner had to cut labor work or what?! I was so infuriated when I saw couple people that ordered after getting their drinks first I almost wanted to walk out, but since I already paid for our drinks we had to tough it out.
I blame it all on my friend because I wanted to go Ambrosia anyway!!!

I think it is really a matter of what you are craving as far as BBTea goes. We all know that… Read more »
Props for having pool tables, board games, and interesting magazines to flip though. I like that they have two sizes of bubble tea -- small or regular. They have yummy fries and good popcorn chicken.
Lots of different flavors. My favorite is regular bubble tea or lychee slushie.
Please get on the bandwagon and get frozen yogurt!
Went here today with a friend, he wanted some Bubble Tea. I got a Slush. Strawberry. It was very good. The staff was friendly, prices weren't bad. But there was a huge spill of some sort, possibly some strawberry drink on the floor. Looks like it'd been there a while, it was starting to look like it was getting sticky. I noticed it was all over a chair and a table, as well. We sat there for maybe 15 minutes just relaxing while we drank our drinks and at one point it really wasn't too busy at all, someone could've come to clean up the mess but didn't. The decor was lacking, nothing special to look at, then again it is a drink place. Overall it was ok, the drinks were good and I suppose that's what matters the most.
I have been bored since becoming unemployed as of 4/10.
I called Dfens to see if he wanted to get dinner. I'll have to review that later. For a sweet treat we came here after dinner. I was kinda already really stuffed full of hu tieu my thao (delicious VN noodle soup w/ seafood bits and stuff). but I haven't had boba in a while and decided that it was time to indulge.
There are SO MANY CHOICES. Milk tea, smoothies, shakes, fruits, veggies, legumes, what?! When i go boba, I usually go with avocado. If you've never had it you can't hate. It's so rich, and subtle and delicious. But I didn't see it on there. of course it was listed as a special ... i noticed after I ordered. Oh well.
Anyway, I got the almond milk tea. It was good. very almondy. I don't think I'll go here again, not because it wasn't good but because those tapioca balls have so many calories. :(
Came here with some friends after finishing dinner at Maneki and for some reason having a Bubble Tea craving. We normally would hit up Gossip, but heck why not try out a new place, and my friend suggested Oasis.
Showed up we ordered a couple bubble teas in hot taro, and barley milk tea flavor. As well as a Thai iced tea smoothie. As far as I'm concerned everything tasted how they should, the tapioca was sweet and cooked right. So why 1 star?
1) I decide to be adventurous ordering my barley milk tea. It honestly tasted gross because of the barley. After one sip I asked nicely if I could possibly get something else (most bubble tea shops are pretty cool about something like that). Front desk lady looked at me, asked "why?" with a real rude look on her face, and her answer was "it's supposed to be like that". Any other place would've just said "oh okay what else would you like to try".
2) We ordered 3 different hot taro bubble teas. 2/3 were of nice warm drinking temperature. My girlfriend's on the other hand was BOILING hot, and remaining that way for about 5 minutes. Seriously, anyone who tried a sip burned their tongue off it wasn't even funny. I walked up to ask for a cup of ice so we could cool that cup of lava down. This was a different cashier this time, she told me to wait as she finished taking orders. Then after she was done continued to make drinks and completely forgot about getting me a cup of ice even though I was standing in front of her the whole time. I had to ask the THIRD person working there for a cup of ice, and she got it for me relatively quickly. Even with the cup of ice, and the drink already been sitting for like 5-10 minutes. It took another 2-3 minutes for the damn thing to finally cool down to NOT BOILING.
3) Some REAL CHANGE lady walked in trying to bum people at tables for money. The staff took about 10 minutes before they finally ushered her out for loitering, but that isn't until after our table was already hit up awkwardly for five minutes.
I give this place 1 star, the terrible consistency in drinks, and horrible customer service makes this place deserve zero stars.

Decent Bubble Tea.
Shitty Customer Service.
'nuff said.
I got a bad vibe coming from the employees as I was browsing their vast drink options. The cashier's on the phone while ringing my order. I ask if they use powder taro and they do. I didn't trust them to make me an up to snuff taro drink, so I order barley and almond milk tea. Total is $5.48. States above california must love drinking because just like canada their regular size is our large size.
almond--on par with most almond drinks, almond like and sweet, chewy pearls
barley--they ran out of black sesame and suggested this. my first time trying it. the barley gives your throat a good tickle. It's like drinking/chewing on fiber one cereal. this combo passes. the drink definitely quenched my thirst during our drive down to portland.
"Average at it's best!"
Powdered..sweet..and cold..
This place is open late so it's nice to be able to get some bubble tea past 10.
It's a bit dirty, but you don't have to hang out there, grab your drink and go.
The bubble tea always taste the same, so it's not hit and miss.
I Don't Come here alot , but I go for one specific purpose. this is as far as I have found the ONLY place you can get sour Plum flavored drinks. ...
uurrgh my mouf waters just thinking about it. other wise it's a neat decorated place... yeah that's all I got..
Where else can you get Sour Plum?
It has that hole in the wall coffee cafe vibe, although much more Asian overall. Trendy J-pop and K-pop boom over the speakers and little tredno 14yr olds run amok. Every time I have been here there has been at least one incredibly creepy lurking type character, often talking or singing to themselves.
The bubble tea (which is all I ever get,) is incredibly average.
The customer service is terrible. For just being mixed liquids and powers it sure takes em forever to whip a bubble tea up. Whenever I have been there they have also treated (although never me,) a patron quite rudely. If your in the area there's better places to get your fix of boba.
I was really craving some bubble tea, so a co-worker offered to drive me to this place on our lunch hour. I usually order a slushy milk tea, but the mango slushy was calling my name since it was so hot outside. First I was bugged by the fact that they only have one size. I can never finish small drinks, so the fact that these cups were so large irritated me. The mango was waaaaaayyyyy too sweet. The boba balls had a funny aftertaste, and some of them had a frozen consistency. My craving was not fulfilled. So sad.
The BBtea is "ok" but I give this place one star because it is "filthy". The floors have old bubble gum stains, the garbage can has ketchup stains, and the chairs are old and moldy looking. I would not be surprised if I saw a cockroach crawling across the floor. Sorry -but clean this place up. :-(
Uwajimaya no longer has bubble tea in the food court (replaced by the crappy new fro-yo), but Oasis Tea Zone is right across the street. Oasis is cozy albeit dark & like Cindy W. says, a bit of a "teenybopper pit". But to be honest, I have never had bubble tea in a non-teenybopper atmosphere.
Oasis is one-size-fits all, which bothers me because the size is definitely too large on me. I'd rather cut the price and get a smaller serving.
Otherwise, I was satisfied. I'd go back, but I wouldn't seek Oasis out.
I gotta say, I love bubble tea and I've been going here forever and never had an issue. I usually always get the thai iced tea with tapioca, but this last time it was DISGUSTING. They brewed the tea way too bitter and not sweet enough. And it was weak. And then the tapioca was hard on the inside. My friend had ordered one too. So we went right back and complained and they werent surprised at all. Apparently, they had gotten multiple complaints about the tea that day, and yet still served it. Wait, it gets worse. So we tell her it's not good, and she just looks at us and says "Ok, well what? What do you want me to do?" In this tone that was not nice at all. So we said, "Well, we would like another flavor. Free, obviously". And she just sort of rolls her eyes, rushes through our order and then asks us for a $1 for the new ones!!! We just stared at her like she was smoking crack or something and finally tossed 4 quarters down. It was absurd. TERRIBLE customer service. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. I would say she was a BITCH even.
I probably won't be going back there even though I like bubble tea. But the people are just assholes.
I went in yesterday for a green apple slushie... BAD IDEA. It had a terrible herbal taste to it. I ended up throwing it all away.
Thank you Oasis for wasting my money and time.
A pretty good place to come and cool off from the hot summer weather. There is even a pool table but you have to be 18 or older to play.
I'm usually pretty critical about boba joints, but I really liked this place (yah yah, I'm from southern california and I call it boba, not pearl which is what they call it in norcal or bubble tea which is what it seems like people in seattle call it)... haha okay, WHATEVER you call it, I thought it was pretty good. Maybe it's just what I got which was a hot Taro Milk Tea with boba. This was delicious and they put in a lot of boba... which... I love...Even when the drink was running out there was still a lot of boba balls left :) that makes me happy.
The only gripe that I had was that I had originally wanted a hot ALMOND milk tea but they didn't have the 'black tea' so they can only make it using 'green tea' or whatever. How the heck do you run out of black tea at a boba place? I sort of felt like telling them to go across the street to buy some black tea and make my almond milk tea. I mean we went there around 8 and they closed at 10... so... I mean that would only make sense to me.... but I don't know..
Yay I was glad they took credit cards because for some reason in California, most boba places (except Tapioca Expres) only take cash.
Also, they play their music a little too loudly for my taste... I mean, it's not a club, you can't hear yourself or anyone else at all. While ordering, I think I said "What?!" a few times...
With only one person facing the customer front line, I have to give the young lady credit for doing a solid and admirable job serving the double digit line of people, all hankering to fill their boba cravings. My general take on this place is slightly above average. The menu is delightfully robust and serves all sorts of Tea beverages. The kitchen in the back serves typical Tea Station foods. Most of which are fried and greasy, I tend to stay away from these. I've just never liked combining greasy foods with fruity drinks. It just seems oddly unsettling to me.
Here, patrons will find plenty of sitting room to host various sizes of crowds. To no surprise this place can easily fill with prepubescent high school-ers, creating a caf scene right out of the Disney Channel. The variety of board games all seem to say "hanging out here is so much cooler than hanging out at home".
Oasis is a dark, teenybopper pit to venture for boba. Uwajimaya's boba joint closed so I roamed the ID in search for boba. I saw a few folks carrying some boba cups and they pointed me, carefully, to Oasis Tea Zone for good boba and to avoid the other one (which I found out was Gossip).
For a regular black milk tea, I have to say Oasis did a serviceable job, even if it errs on the sweet-sweet side. My brother was pleased by his taro.
But would I go here to hang out with my friends? Hell to the no. It's damn dark and the interior design just compounds that. The place seemed a bit slammed/rushed by the teen staff but they did a good job getting my drinks and thus me out the door. I do prefer the drinks here over Gossip but I like Gossip's ambiance better in terms of boba-ness.
This was my first experience with Bubble Tea. For real. I got the "cofee milk tea," which was really delicious. A nice balance of both tea and coffee flavors. Interesting.
But what surprised me were the little chewy, fun balls they have at the bottom of the drink that get sucked up through the huge straw. They're black and chewy, with a consistency not unlike snot. They were kinda cool at first, but there were just too many little snot balls and I grew tired of having to chew my drink. My garbage can at work is now full of these balls 'o snot.
Next time, I'll have to tell them to go easy on the balls.
I liked my milk tea, with no balls. Simple and boring, just like the person who ordered it.
I don't care about the boba because I don't usually order my drinks with boba anyway. I'm not big on the idea of sucking balls into my mouth. And chewing all those balls makes my jaw tired. No sir, I don't like to suck balls.
Oasis looks like a nice place to hang out if I was a young, hip Asian chick, but I'm not (except for the asian part). So I won't judge them on the decor/ambiance/patrons and all that shit. I'll settle with a 4-star rating for the boring ol' milk tea with no balls.
This is possibly my most useless review ever. Yelp should make a negative useful button available. I'd rack up tons of negative votes.
Okay, in my quest for the perfect boba, the first thing I look for is texture. Too soft is bad news all around. Too hard - doable, but not preferable, despite the fact that I like to *say* I like my boba hard.
I got a normal iced tea, with tapioca, here, and I was happy to find my boba just the right consistency. However, I think part of it depends on the drink you put them in, which actually makes perfect sense. Rob got an icy, and his boba were hard. Dfens got something hot, and although I didn't try his boba, I would imagine they got soggy way more quickly than mine.
Minus a star for making my hand sticky from the outside of the cup, and because I found a tapioca ball stuck to my sleeve 8 hours later. And I don't think it was due to my carelessness!
And FYI, their "regular" size is large, so when you just order a tea, you get the large cup. If you don't want that much, let them know.
i feel awful because i can't stand this place and in college someone pointed out (while i was raving about how scared i was of oasis) the owner's son or something. MAH BAD
obviously, i haven't learned my lesson-no. i have learned...i just love y'all yelpers too much to not say something.
i would say....especially with the plethora of options for bubble tea now in seattle and the greater king (and some of pierce) county..perhaps even snohomish county...well....west of the mountains....
oasis makes me boba unhappy.
i'm not joking.
there is something not right.
and the bubbles are icky.
flavor wise, all is generic.
all in all, spend your dollars, pennies and everything else in between somewhere else
Boba BoBa lala Bubble TEA...--Now say that 10X FAST!! One of the Best Places to check out in Seattle. Located in the International District, Just Across the Street From Uwajimaya. With so many Flavors to Pick from & Other Fillers instead of Tapioca...I sometimes Just always Pick My Known Favorite HoneyDewMelon. In addition to their Beverages they serve some Snacks & Stuff to munch on while you slurp away.
You can Chillax..Unwind..Play some Pool & Sing the Boba BoBa lala Bubble TEA melody..
If it's bubble tea you're looking for try somewhere else (like Pochi's on the Ave.) but if you're in Chinatown and you need a quick dessert, Oasis can be that fix.
I really really really wish I could say something nice about their bubble tea but I mean seriously it taste like *bleep*. I mean if you're new to bubble tea and you've tried it first here, I apologize on behalf of all bubble tea lovers out there--it's just not the right texture and not what it's supposed to taste like. And don't even try to be adventurous by trying the green mango slush. It didn't work for me. :(
Their slush desserts are pretty good, but probably over priced considering that it's just fruit and ice, but hey, you're in Chinatown, what do you expect? The service is kinda slow when it gets busy, and their number system totally doesn't work.
They place is clean and it's a good spot to hang with friends after the game or just if you're around the area, but if you really need a drink, this isn't your bubble tea oasis. :)
The drink is generally okay, but the service is pretty bad. They don't seem to care much for the customer at all.
Not like they are a scam, but I would also be cautious with using credit card there. They have overcharged me a few bucks before despite what I signed on the receipts. Since it's only a few bucks, I usually don't bother with it, but it's pretty shady. They either have a problem reading or.. I don't know.
The drinks like I said is okay, but I would probably stay away.
This is more 2 & 1/2 stars than 3--but then it's my mistake for coming to a boba tea place to find straightforward unsweetened brewed green tea. I got a blank stare after I asked for that, and got steered towards "green tea with honey" for $3. It was decent, but pretty sweet for my taste. There's a wireless hot spot but it's labeled "default" and is as slow as molasses... make that honey.
Pros:
- Boba heaven. I think. i don't really drink the stuff
- Plenty of seats.
- Huge drink selection...
Cons:
-... except for green tea.
- No reliable Wi Fi.
The first time I had bubble tea it was like getting hit in in the uvula by a polliwog traveling 35 miles per hour. Then I learned that one must respect the Fat Straw and sip the bubble tea, lest your haste upset your friends by requiring them to Heimlich your monkey ass in public. Now, with respect for the Fat Straw bestowed upon me, I honk vast quantities of the Chunk-Style Barley Milk Tea - *with* tapioca, no less! (Think: drinking wheat germ *and* polliwogs through a Fat Straw. NUM!! No, really, it's good. And filling.Try it.) Bubble tea novices now gape in stupefaction at my Fat Straw form.
PS: Oasis is the dope sh*t.
I hate bubble tea, it's diabetes in a cup, and tastes like chemicals. but that aside, I do come for their shaved ice sometimes.
I would like say this place has a good environment. But time after time, I have been embarassed in front of my friends for taking them there, because of their lack of memory of my order, or taking 20+ minutes to get something(they ran out of tea, but they wouldn't tell me). It takes too damn long in general to get anything other than bubble tea. I seriously think they don't know how to run the dang place.
Feels a bit high-schoolish. I felt out of place. I can understand why people would want to kill time here though. The exhaustive choices on the menu can send the first time visitor - as I was - into a whirl of confusion. Took the safe route with the mango slush (?). Incredibly sweet but delicious none the less.
On top of the seemingly limitless beverage options, Oasis offers a games area, pool, and a few comfortable chairs to relax in. I can't say that this will be a regular stop for me, but it definitely lives true to what I had envisioned a bubble tea house to look like.
Oasis has the largest flavor offering list known to mankind. I always enjoy this bubble tea joint. I discovered Oasis on another one of those late night pregnancy craving adventures.
My favorites are green mango, strawberry mango, avocado and almond milk tea. Oh and I can't forget taro. (I like taro, because it tastes like Oreos and milk or that left over milk from a bowl of sweet cereal)
They make really good bubble tea and they are open really late at night. Good for the people in Seattle who experience late night cravings like myself.
ICK. Both times that I came here, it was because no other boba places were open late. The first time, I ordered a lychee black tea drink, which was watered down. Their tapioca balls were bland and either crunchy in the middle (undercooked) or falling apart in my straw (overcooked). I rarely, rarely ever don't finish my boba drinks, but this was one time I did. The second time I went, the balls were still subpar, but the drink at least wasn't as watered down. The good thing about this place is that they offer two sizes.
The ambience is a little high schoolish, like some other reviewers said. You walk in, and people turn to see who just walked in. Last time I went, my friends and I sat near the TV and had a good laugh watching a Japanese obstacle course competition. So if you really want boba late at night, this probably is your only choice. But don't expect too much.
I'm not sure if this should add a star or remove one from my review, but this place looks like the 'hangout' set on a kids' TV show. Really. This could have been on Saved By the Bell or that annoying show my friends' kid watches on Nickelodeon 'Josh & Drake'. It's got Ikea couches & artwork all over the place along with some pool tables. You'll find trendy magazines (some in Chinese or Japanese) scattered over tall tables with stools or on benches covered with neat little pillows. There's even the requisite crowd of people just hanging out.
Aside from that Oasis has some good bubble tea. They use Boba tapioca pearls which are a little different than some of the other local bubble tea joints. (This is a positive thing.) The tea is on the sweet side and has a distinct flavor, even the plain. Though I prefer Oasis over Ambrosia and Gossip (both just around the corner), Honeymoon (located across the street in Uwajimaya's food court) is still a better bubble tea.
Rumor is that they also have food items on the menu, but I've never tried them. There's more than enough sugar in my tea. I don't need a waffle with toppings to add to that.
Oasis is pretty average overall. One huge plus is that they seem to be open all the time, making late night bubble tea possible.
The bubble tea from Oasis is quite serviceable. I usually get a mango slush and I would recommend it for anyone who is into that kind of thing. That and the environment is much like that of other spots that serve bubble tea. Very relaxed, places to lounge about and that. Overall a good experience.
