An Oasis in the California desert, literally.
The Inland Empire (or San Berdu, if you will) is not known for its rich cultural exports. Since my early childhood it has been associated with smog, pointless urban sprawl and terminal gridlock. But a very smart woman named Polliti Ashcraft took opened a studio there devoted to the movement arts in the IA, Highland area. She has created a haven for a cross section of artists...martial, dance and otherwise. The Oasis is home of the Blue Damsel Dance troupe. Whether for study ATS, ( Tribal Style Belly Dance, Caroleena Nericcio does week long workshops there) entertainment, shopping for dance accoutrement and music, or to jump into a weekend intensive with some most famed teachers du jour. This ain't no mirage, so look no further.
