Andy is great.  Flexible and really knows how to train a dog responsibly.  I've seen amazing improvement in my dog!

Training with Andy and NYC Dream Dogs is going really well.  We went with him because I'd read a few books on training and his methods seemed to go best with what we were looking for.  I wanted more personalized attention for Dottie and not classes, because I think she's already smart and is moving at a really fast pace. Andy also is really great at communicating with me about what Dottie is thinking, feeling, and teaching me how to train her.

I also liked that he works on rewarding with praise. Little doxies like mine have a tendency to have real problems (spine) if they get fat, so we really watch it with treats, don't give her "people food" at all.

We've met with Andy three times and she can already walk on a leash, heel, sit and stay. Next she's going to learn to lay down.  He's great with dogs and he's worked with another one of my friends with her dog   - with notable improvement.

It's a big decision, and even though Dottie wasn't "bad" to start with, obedience training is a good foundation to set.  It builds confidence in the dog and gives her a real sense of purpose, not to mention the workout her brain gets when she's figuring out ways to make me happy!!

Love, love, love, NYC Dream Dogs!  Andy was amazing with my oh so spoiled puppy.  Our girl was crazy when we first signed on with Andy.  She was having "accidents" all over the house, barely sat when we asked her to, and she pretty much up my shoe collection.   Andy came in and instantly bonded with her.  He got her doing her business outside, sitting, staying, coming when we call her, and going to her bed when we ask.  shes awesome now and we owe it all to andy!
    Thanks!

    Andy is great!!

Our Azuki was a very wild yorkie puppy.  We were gonna enroll Azuki into a group training session but I finally gave in to my partner and agreed to have personalized training.  We searched on Yelp and contacted Andy.  He was extremely helpful.  The most important thing is how he taught us to train Azuki.

It's been almost a year since we finished training with Andy and Azuki has been great because we continued using the techniques Andy taught us. Wherever we take him, people are always compliment us on how well Azuki behaves.

Andy rocks!  He helped us to get our 5 and 1/2 year-old English Bulldog, Kosmo used to the idea of our newborn daughter who is just six weeks old.  Within a few lessons, Kosmo was much calmer,  understood the heel command, is listening 95% of the time (which is GREAT for a Bulldog), and is getting the hang of knowing his "place"  which is a great way to distract him away when necessary.  Kosmo is far more balanced. He is now IN LOVE with our daughter and is no longer looking to "eat" her.  Andy was a huge part of this growth and I feel extremely lucky to have been provided his contact info.  We could not have done it without him.
Andy has a very calm demeaner and exhibited a great understanding of Kosmo within an incredibly short period of time. I am very impressed and will continue to refer Andy to others.  In the event that Kosmo slips up (or we do), I will be sure to call Andy for reinforcement.

Andy is awesome! Our dog actually walks by our side where she's supposed to now. She can sit, rollover, and even shake. He gave us a bunch of great tips and our dog/person relationship is much better for it!

I'm a first-time dog-owner and knew that I was going to need some help learning how to communicate with my puppy, a 4-month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel when I first contacted Andy for training. Andy is thorough, detail-oriented, and firm -- and my puppy has visibly become calmer and more respectful since we undertook basic obedience classes with him. He explains things in ways that make sense and is very much training the dog-owner to interact in healthy, positive ways with the dog.

I heartily recommend Andy for anyone looking for help, advice, and training for their dog in NYC. He understands the peculiarities of raising a puppy and owning a dog in the city and his real-life training (on the street) is much more beneficial than just taking classes indoors. Pricing on NYC Dream Dogs packages are great as well -- they're not linked to hours but the progress your dog is making. Very much performance-based, which I didn't see among any other trainers' sites I looked at in the city.

Andy is fantastic!  He's been training my puppy Zoe and myself for the last few weeks and I've seen a vast improvement in her behavior.  His methods are practical, honest and effective.  His techniques are applied based on the individual dog and not a cookie-cutter standard.  He's developed a wonderful bond with my Zoe and is sympathetic to my struggles as a first time pet owner.  It's clear I need more training than my dog.  I highly recommend NYC Dreamdogs!  Scheduling is flexible (he travels to Queens), rates are competitive and the training is top notch!

P.S.  This is not a hot dog place, though the search may suggest otherwise.

Andy is incredible! I worked with him when our lab was 9 weeks old and he taught me the basics and I taught her. About 2 weeks ago she began having separation anxiety and within a week and a half, he taught me how to make our relationship one of mutual respect. He is really hands on with the owner and helped us learn and process the skills to have a great, balanced relationship with the dog. Listen to him and do the work, no matter how challenging it may seem - he is truly talented.

Andy is a wonderful trainer to the point that i am giving out his cards - he works on the bond with your dog not bribing with treats - our very out of control 40lb-er is getting under control and she is happy to see him every time he comes over.   she is near perfect with him we just need to work on training ourselves!! - really a great experience he is patient, positive and encouraging with all of us
