I LOVE this place. NJV is fressshh.
I went there recently with an out-of-town friend and the store owner kept it open an hour longer just for us.
First of all, the place looks fly -- it is a fresh breath of bright colors in a sea of gray concrete.
The accessories, especially the ones on sale, are UBER cheap. (Like$2-4.) The clothes are vintage-ish. 70s/80s/90s, and everything is between $20-35, I don't think I've ever seen anything more than that.
And they always play good music. When I was there she played the Arular album -- with those bangin' beats and hot colors, I felt like I was in an M.I.A. video.
And they have all these great weekly events. I think saturdays everything is 15% off and you can get your nails did. And sunday is like swap and shop. Don't quote me on that, you need to get on the email list to find out.
Also, the woman who runs the shop is super sweet, stylin', helpful, and hot.
NJV fo' liiife. :)
I love Not Just Vintage! The selection is fresh. The jewelry collection is plentiful and reasonably priced, and the clutch/purse selection is most impressive. The space is colorful, funky and inviting. I enjoy stopping in often, afterwork especially, to peruse the shop and see what's new.
Better.
Stronger selection and Maya & Lamonica hooked the space up.
I guess I'm still a Collecther lover at heart but there's more than enough room for two independent vintage shops in addition to Goodwill and Salvation Army (though the latter two aren't at all inviting.)

Great location. Somewhat new little thrift/vintage spot in Bed Stuy. Can never have… Read more »
The first review is not at all valid since the store has gone under renovation and rejuvenation:
I live a block away from this place andhave really seen it grow into the funnest chicest coolest gem in the stuy - maya and lamonica are the owners the i love what they are bringing to the neighborhood - they hold fashion events and even had a runway show that stopped fulton street traffic!
for you photog fashionistas out there, they rent out a blank white back room for photo shoots and you can use any of the clothes/accessories in the store for your shoot
you'll always find something unique and amazingly hip - from 80s styles to vintage to current trends - its pretty great for those that aren't afraid to show some personality and color in their style
and as an update - they now take credit cards...yes!
