Do you like Dirty Rooms? Old Furniture? Over Priced Shoe box sized rooms? Or Bed bugs?
Then stay here!!
I payed a HUGE amount of money, just to encounter all of these things in my one day stay here. But the icing on the cake was definitely the bed bugs....Id rather get my whole body waxed then stay at this hotel for 5 minutes. -

Ick Ick Ick.
My boyfriend and I were celebrating our 2 year anniversary, and were ready to shell out, but we could only do sat night and NO place in the area would do a one night stay because it was an event weekend. One B&B finally recommended someone and called them for me, and we got in here. We chose one of their more expensive rooms - a King deluxe with spa. I asked specifically to make sure that the tub would fit two people, and was ready for it to not be the nicest place...but we were still shelling out quite a bit. It's on a golf course, so it seems like it would be nicer than it is.
It was okay from the outside. Kind of motelly, but not a big deal. The rooms, though, were just kinda gross. 1960s bad motel decor that I'd expect to find in a $39/night motel 6 on Route 66, a horrible bathroom that made no sense and was ugly as hell, and a cracked jacuzzi tub that was barely big enough for me.
I was pissed. We had fun anyway, and we learned our lesson about making plans during russian river events, but seriously, don't go here unless you're paying less than $50. -

Like one of the other reviewers, from the moment we had to jimmy our door open, we knew this was a glorified motel 6. For this price, I've bunked in considerable luxury in multiple countries.
Shame on me for booking a room before I read reviews. We are usually coastal day trippers who stay too late and end up lucking out finding the cutest, comfiest, moderately priced accomodations wherever we go. Folks, spontaneity has its rewards. But this was our anniversay weekend and we've never been to the Russian River and it sounded fresh, exciting, and peaceful. After about 6 "no vacancy" calls, I reluctantly called this place. It was last on our list because it looked very motelly and reminded me of the movie "vacancy" in the photos- Not so romantic. I could rant, but I would like everyone to know exactly what they might pay 180-200 dollars for: in short, nothing really.
Location: 2 Stars. A bit off the road, and surrounded by redwoods.
Room: 0 Stars. King size bed in SMALL room with mini-fridge, small tv, 3 crawl-space holes in the wall badly boarded up two of them painted over and one with an ugly hotel chair to "disguise" it. An ironing board, no iron. No hairdryer, I can deal with that, but I'd like to see it if I'm forking over a few bills.
Bathroom: 0 Stars. Small jacuzzi style tub, not clean enough for us to feel comfortable using it. I mean, come on!
Grounds: 1 Star. Big pool. "Solar" heated. That means the sun is its only heat source. Panels on the motel roof look like they'd been torn out long before. Cold pool. Big lawn with plastic benches and one bbq grill stand. We utitlized it. Best part of our trip.
0-1/2 Stars: Everything else. Noisy. Janky. ICE COSTS 25 Cents! I kid you not.
I wanted so desperately to prove my fellow yelpers wrong about this place (or, at least I hoped they were wrong), but nay. They were too right. Too nice even. The three reasons we didn't leave:
1. We tried to convince ourselves we could look past the cost since nothing else was available. We couldn't.
2. Nothing else was available (in the price range and with some privacy).
3. The baby had a babysitter for the night and we were not about to go home early.
A weekend away is a 5 star experience in my book, but, next time, if nothing else is available, we will go to campgrounds and save $150 plus dollars and sleep a little more soundly. -

Run for your life. There is no reason to choose this place unless it's your only option or if you're homophobic, see Guernville under Wikipedia(I don't support homophobia and I apologize if anyone finds this offensive). Even then I'd still suggest camping under the stars before going to this heck hole. It also felt as If I was inconveniencing them by staying here?!?! I had to try the counter about 5 times before someone was available to check me in. This wasted about 2 hours alone and they had no cell phone reception and the alarm clock was not functional. The television didn't work, and the room looked like skid mark in my trousers. ewwww. Final note: The photos do this place no justice. I think they were taking in the 80's.
