Came to this restaurant in January when I visited my family up in northern Michigan. The restaurant is adorable, small with the kind of decor you might have in your own house. I ordered the walleye, which is enough to give this place 4 stars all on its own. It's not like I get to eat walleye often, so I'm not sure if I'm the best to judge the quality or anything, but everyone I was with enjoyed their food. The seafood chowder was wonderful and warming on a cold January night!
A good place for your standard "I don't feel like cooking, let's go out to eat" night! -

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. I had heard of it for years, and passed it every time I went to Petoskey, but never thought to stop until one winter night.
We tried out some of the lobster and shrimp appetizers, the wine, the pasta, the steak -- we enjoyed our meal very much. The food had standard American-cuisine flavors. The decor was very relaxed and clean, with a hint of a rustic feel to it. The service was also pretty good. The cost, given all of these factors, was reasonably affordable. They also have a lounge, which seemed lively yet relaxed. The lounge, I believe, is the only area of the restaurant where they permit smoking.
This is a decent place to go for two, in a group, or with a family. There is something on their menu for everyone. -

Good food, friendly people. We ate here during a ski trip to Nubs Nob with kids, ages 6 and 8. Enjoyed the food. My steak was cooked perfectly. Menu has options for everyone. Wine list is limited, otherwise a great experience. Highly recommended.
