"A-OK" isn't exactly true but it's as close to my experience as I can get. Reserve by phone, not by email, which is what I did. The result was no one showed, and I'm standing out in the rain waiting, having packed my raincoat and locked myself out of my friends' house. I called their number and the guy said he had no reservation for me (although they confirmed by return email).
But! the guy on the phone leaped into his car and drove immediately to my damp rescue and I was at the airport in good time to catch my plane. The car was very comfortable and clean and the driver was a good guy. So, reiterating, I'll use them again, but phone for a reservation, don't email. -

I used Northwest Towncar to get to the airport for an early morning flight.
On time (even at 4:30 a.m.), clean car, friendly driver - basically all the necessary ingredients for a upgraded ride to the airport.
The first time user deal (20% off) was appreciated, but I don't understand the business model that increases the price for future trips... wouldn't they want to keep repeat customers by offering them discounts?
Still, a good, reliable service. -

Some things really stink about traveling solo...
My jokes aren't nearly as funny when I tell them to myself.
When you are tired and cranky there is no one else to deal with the crisis at hand.
And my least favorite thing is that sometimes it seems like you pay twice as much for that hotel, taxi, gas, etc. when you don't have another person to split the costs.
I was reminded of this little travel problem when trying to find the most economical way to get to and from PDX for a long trip. On short trips, Park-n-Fly or PDX long term parking are great, but weren't an option for this trip. So after much calling and web surfing for rates, I booked a towncar because they have a promotion where first time customers get a 20% discount if you pay by cash or check.
So I got to travel in style without picking up other passengers and it was less expensive than the other shuttle services I checked. The owner was my driver both to and from PDX and I must say it was nice to see a friendly, familiar face after a long overnight flight. He was also on time (or early), personable during the drive and clearly takes pride in running a good business.Listed in: Going to my happy place - PDX!

This service is a great value. The driver showed up early, helped us with all our bags, and waited patiently for me to finish getting ready! We arrived to the airport relaxed, calm and on time. Making the reservation with Northwest Towncar was simple and saved us money, versus taking a cab or parking long term at the airport.

Very nice, reliable car service. I often call them for the early morning trip to the airport and they are always on time, friendly, and with a nice clean and comfortable car.
