I recently picked up a prescription here, after a whole year of dealing with CVS by Union Square. I decided that I should go local and called up a few places in the neighborhood and Northside Pharmacy was $9 cheaper than King's, a couple blocks down. Also $9 cheaper than what I paid at CVS.
Not only that, I gave them my prescription and my meds were ready in less than three minutes. On top of that, the pharmacist was super friendly...you just can't beat that! Makes me wonder what takes all these other places so long to give me my meds. I have waited up to an hour at a pharmacy!
I love that they have a comfortable chair in the corner, for those who have to wait for their prescription!Listed in: williamsburg !

My dentist is right around the corner. When I had my 4 wisdom teeth extracted, the paper work was in order and the doc told me to get my drugs before the surgery.
1- these guys are so gosh darn nice! It made me sad that I have to deal with the grumps in Queens on a regular basis... would consider commuting to North side for the service... possibly maybe.
2- They are FAST! I had my meds in 15 minutes. My vicodin (yeah baby), IB800, and antibiotics All placed in the paper bag and ready to go
3- location. Great neighborhood! When i marry a rich man Im gonna ask him to buy me an apartment around here for fun... and the pharmacy.
4- Unpretentous. reminds me of an old school pharmacy!

Have to agree with the others, this place is awesome. Anytime I need a prescription they are quick and very pleasant to visit. The notary public is also pretty convenient. I like the cozy atmosphere here rather than the duane reade's, rite aid's, and others. Definitely a pleasant visit every time! Try them!

Best pharmacy in the Billy. The staff are super quick! There have been times where I show up to pick up a refill and I'll realize that I never called it in. They tell me that they can do it in 5 minutes. They usually get it out to me in 3. And I'm such a kid because I love that they have a candy dish!!!! Win!
If you would do all this at a Duane reade, it'd take over an hour and the employees would give you attitude!Listed in: Dog friendly Williamsburg

This pharmacy is absolutely amazing! I ran into a little problem that I won't get into (it honestly bugs me) and had to run over here for some help. Not only is the staff super helpful but they made sure I knew what I was taking and how to take it (event thought they didn't have to). With service like that I can't go wrong.
When I'm not in an emergency I'm usually buying all the things I need for long stays at Andres' place. Some lotions, toothbrushes and other personal items to get me along well.
I don't personally live around where this pharmacy is but I like knowing that when I run into a snag again I have some really nice people to come to and know I'll get good service.Listed in: Where Brooklyn At?

This is the sweetest little pharmacy. I lived down the street and used to walk there to pick up my meds. I usually never bought anything more than advil or cold meds because a lot of their hair care products are expensive but they have a really good selection. Also, a notary public works there and she is wonderful and keeps great hours. They always have my prescriptions ready 10 minutes after I call!

The pharmacists here go above and beyond. They double check the prices and make sure you are getting the best price. They give advice on prescriptions. This is the best pharmacy ever!

This is hands down the best pharmacy in the entire city. The staff is absolutely amazing. They actually take the time to listen and answer questions, plus they understand people and what they need.
I had a problem with my insurance last month and they helped me get everything squared away. It was a huge help and I am completely indebted to them. -

This is a great store to get all sorts of creams and lotions, the I'm so old I better start using anti-wrinkle creams, firming this and that creams, clay masks, yummy bubble bath (except I don't have a bath tub, boo), fancy smelling soaps, pretty nail polish, delicious tasty lip balms etc.
This place has all the stuff to have a spa day at home!
And there is a wide selection of Polish beauty products that for some reason seem like they may work better than your normal ones so grab your Polish friend or the waitress at the Polish diner and have her transcribe the packages for you.
Now, the reason I gave it a star off is because if you need practical items you are much better off going to Kings Pharmacy. Northside only has one brand TP, one brand of paper towels, you get the idea...

I had a good experience filling, so far, fairly mundane prescriptions. They were fast--15 minutes on a weekend afternoon and friendly. When I returned to the shop for pickup, not only were both scripts filled, but the pharmacist recognized me and handed me the package without me even asking for it, even though I'd never been there before.
Also, I had no trouble using NYS ADAP insurance stuff there and no trouble filling a script for my partner. Always a good sign. I feel lucky to have a good neighborhood pharmacy.
They seemed to have a good selection of moderate-to-fancy bathroom products, but they filled the script so fast I didn't have time to browse for ointment and salves that I don't need, but make me smell nice anyway. -

I am not one to post reviews of pharmacies; they just dont tend to inspire enough to warrant writing about. An exception is Northside Pharmacy.
The whole staff is firstly exceptionally friendly and helpful, and Rachel gets all kinds of neat stuff in addition to regular pharmaceutical fair; she must have some kind of magic catalog she browses through!! You could go shopping here for gifts...and no one would be able to guess where'd you'd tracked down such an original item!
But seriously, one of the best things about them is they will take time to let you know what you're being prescribed. Doctors will prescribe all kinds of nutty stuff to keep their business booming, and I dont always want to drink the koolaid where doctors are concerned. They certainly never disuade you from what a doctor suggests, but whether its as simple as knowing how theraflu will react if taken with a cough suppressant, or some new allergy med a doc prescribes, they have the knowledge to let you know what everything is & how it works, and this allows me to make my own decisions with some degree of confidence.
For my money, thats a priceless advantage to this truly 'stupendous' pharmacy. I've relied on them for years and they have always come through. -

Do you live in Williamsburg? You do? And you get your prescriptions filled anywhere but here? Is there something WRONG with you!??
These ladies will help you out in a pinch -say your insurance doesnt cover enough to carry you thru the month -they will front you for the next round. They speak a crazillion languages. They are everything that is RIGHT about williamsburg. It was, and still is, an old school, Polish run pharmacy - but they saw what was happening in the hood and stocked up on cool beauty products. PLUS everyone knows that polish ladies have the best skin -and they carry all sorts of good Polish products that they can tell you about.
They are nice, friendly, neighborhood-y, smart, helpful... I cannot possibly say enough good things about them. I wish I could give them 7 stars. -

The pharmacists who work here are so incredibly helpful and kind. i hate going to the pharmacy but I don't mind coming here. The prices are competitive and it feels great supporting a local business over Duane Reade. Green pill bottles! A+

This pharmacy rules!! I absolutely LOVE the women here. Everyone is extremely helpful and always has the best reccomendations. They always remember me by name and I only go about once a month. It's so rare to find the small town charm in such a big city. Whenever I need my prescription refilled she greets me and fills it right on the spot, I dont even have to tell her what it is, she just knows. I never have had to wait more than 5 mins. Ive since moved from the neighborhood but I always go here for my prescriptions no matter what!

I don't know why anyone would go to CVS or Duane Reade when they could get their prescriptions filled by Rachel or Halina. These two amazing women are old school (not old!) pharmacists, who'll take time out of their extremely busy day to make sure you're taking your drugs properly. I had one Rx that could've damaged my liver if I'd had even a sip of alcohol--something my doctor hadn't bothered to tell me--and they made sure I knew. Everyone who works there is friendly and efficient. Plus, they have a great selection of upscale soaps and haircare product. The place is jam-packed, but the staff can locate anything in a flash. Love them.

Obsessed with this pharmacy. They really are the nicest people and are so willing to go the extra mile. Going in there is a pleasure - and if I bring my pup she always gets a treat! Would never go anywhere else to fill a script.

Agree with all of the positive reviews on this place. Owners/pharmacists are such good people. They do everything that you might have expected from a pharmacy 30 years ago. They know your name, your doctor, your prescriptions and have common sense - in cases where I haven't been able to call in my prescription or lost my suitcase (w/my pills), they've looked at my history and filled my prescription to get me through the weekend until I could get my doc on the phone. They also speak at least three languages (English, Spanish, Polish) and maybe more. They're open 7 days a week. I cannot say enough about them. Great people, should be supported.

Everyone is so nice and helpful. They always, ALWAYS take the time and help you find things, answer your questions (without making you feel like an ass), and give you advice. They are super quick with getting your prescriptions and when my insurance wouldn't cover something they gave me some tips to get them to cover it! AND.....everything else in the store is inexpensive! WooHOO!

Northside is the best pharmacy in New York.
Rachel and Halina are kind, helpful and knowledgeable. They will remember your name. They will help you out in a pinch. They speak three languages that I know of (English, Spanish, Polish). They will let you know if there's a less expensive alternative.
Let's face it, the majority of today's doctors are basically glorified pharmacists (except pharmacists receive far fewer kickbacks). I trust these women more than any of my doctors, and find them infinitely more compassionate and helpful.
Northside is an example of how things should be. -

So I've never written a review for any place other than a restaurant before, but I had to extend my review writing repertoire for Northside. The women who run this place are phenomenal. They are on a first name basis with most of their clientele, and when it comes to getting prescriptions filled, they go above and beyond to make sure your insurance (if you are so lucky) covers the cost for extra vacation pills and things like that. And the best part is, there is hardly ever a wait to get your prescriptions. The staff is warm and very helpful with questions one might have about their medication. I can't talk this place up enough, if you're in the neighborhood, this is the place to get your meds.

This might sound weird, but going to Northside Pharmacy is my favorite part about living in Williamsburg. Rachel is the best pharmacist - she really goes above and beyond to help you out. She's so kind and friendly, and it always cheers me up when I go in to fill a prescription. I can't imagine going anywhere else.

This is the kind of business that makes me want to stay in this neighborhood forever. Rachel and her partner make it their business to know you personally, know what you need, and take care of you. Many times they have given me "a few pills" when I was between thyroid prescriptions. They take care of you. And they are super informed and helpful when it comes to vitamins and supplements as well. All this and high end hair care products as well? I love them. And they love my dog, so I double triple love them.

The best pharmacy in town! I've tried some on the south side, and they always claimed they'd never received the prescription or forgot to fill it for a day. Nothing like that ever happens at Northside. Rachel Parker is a great pharmacist, has an incredible memory ,and maintains a friendly attitude no matter the time of day. Northside is also incredibly fast. I'll be loyal to them as long as I'm in the area.

This pharmacy alone is reason enough to live in Williamsburg. One pharmacist speaks Polish and the other Spanish. Both are kind, efficient, and exceedingly competent. They knew my name by my second visit, and gave expert advice to a friend during a medical emergency. Plus, despite the tiny size of the place, they manage to stock everything I can never find in the soulless aisles of CVS or Duane Reade.

amazing pharmacy -- great, personal service, and they have the best products. they have stuff like umcka tablets, great homeopathics, and armour thyroid medication, which is difficult to come by.
