This is the biggest indoor mall in the Jackson metro area.

Until recently, it was the nicest too... but outdoor malls further out of Jackson like Dogwood and Renaissance are taking their toll on it.

Use to be a great mall, but now I will stick to the open air malls in Flowood and Ridgeland. Last time I went here it was run down and all the employees were very unfriendly. The stores become increasingly worse as well - all the clothes are poorly made in many of the stores. I think I will stick to Renaissance - nicer stores and nicer service.

Wow. Next time I'm in the Jackson, MS area I will need to take a trip to Dogwood or Renaissance. This mall is decent for Jackson, MS. This mall has some decent fashions. I learned why they call Jackson 'Jack Town" during my visit here. Two pretty little blonde girls walked into Hollister where me and my friend who worked there at the time were chit chatting, and all of a sudden they snatched an entire stack of folded tee-shirts each and ran out of the store towards the Mall Exit/Entrance!

I'm from Cleveland, OH so I've seen a snatch and run a few times in my life...but never EVER have I seen pretty little blonde haired girls do it! It was actually funnier than it was alarming which is well, racist. Because I never would have expected them to do it. We were in such disbelief, but there was the empty stack of tee-shirts right there on the round table...This mall at that point was ghetto! Ghetto, ghetto, ghetto! My friend who worked there did not care about the stolen merchandise either (even more ghetto). This mall has a Macy's which is important, Wet Seal, Bath & Body Works, and I believe a few other stores that I frequent.

Nonetheless, you can get some decent shopping for pieces here, but if you are coming from Atlanta, Memphis, New Orleans, Birmingham, etc...shop before you come. This mall does however score high for Entertainment!

Northpark is quickly going the way of the old Metrocenter Mall.  I remember when Northpark opened in the 1984 and how beautiful it was at that time.  It had awesome shopping, a nice foodcourt, and was in a wonderful location.  My last trip to this mall made me very sad.  Save yourself a trip and go to one of the newer open-air malls in the suburbs.
