dude, this place is tiny.  in a situation like this yelp should have a button that just finds the nearest review of anything.  ANYTHING.  yelp came up blank on my iphone in every category.  Never seen that in the US before.

I like the airport though.  Gets the job done.  They just finished a new runway.  And the trees were busting out in color all over northern Maine in bright sun following a drenched take off from Logan.  Unexpected and awesome at 17,000 feet.  This place might get a little quiet though on those long winter nights.  Just sayin.

Don't worry about your gate number - there's only one.  No it doesn't have a number.  Tiny airport.  Take a good book if you have time on your hands - or buy a used one for 2 bucks (very limited selection).

If you're ever needing to head to the most Northern point in Maine (and potentially in to Canada) you may be required to fly in to PQI.  There are only 4 flights daily (2 in and 2 out) from Logan Airport in Boston through US Airways.  The planes fit about 6-10 people and the ride is definitely not smooth. However, the flight attendant and the pilots are very friendly.  They are typically from the area.  On the day I flew in to PQI the flight attendant had the passengers blow up balloons since it was the pilot's last flight on that route.  Surprisingly there is a baggage claim area.  Basically the bag person shuffles it through a hole in the wall.  But it's better than leaving the bags on the jet way (the only other possible alternative).  There is also only 1 car rental company (I believe Avis).   You better beat the other people coming off of your plane because they only have a limited number of rental cars.  So don't expect free upgrades or a choice.  But if you were flying up to a city with a population of 500, you probably weren't expecting too much right?
