I stayed at this Hilton for one night and was very impressed.  While the building is very VERY old, you can tell that they have done some remodeling in the common areas as well as in the units.  It really makes a difference.  The lobby was nice and even had a Starbucks!  The location was great too, right off of I-440 and it was easy to get to all of my destinations that day.

The units were very nice too including:  a wood Dresser with granite countertops, a 37-inch brand new LG tv with HD channels, Nice comfy beds with clean sheets (a common mishap with some other chain hotels), wood floors in the entry,  clean bathrooms, AC that actually works.

The staff was very nice despite a small mix-up with my reservation.  They took care of it immediately and had a great attitude about it.  I will definitely stay here again if/when I come back to Raleigh.

This is my home away from home on business trips. Compared against other Hilton's, it's lacking but for North Raleigh it's above average but still just missing a few things.

The Good:
- The bed is the best part, comfy sheets with lots of pillows and the mattress is just perfect.

- Room is furnished and styled modern.

- Parking is easy, the hotel staff very welcoming and the place is always kept spotless.

The Bad:
- The rooms were recently upgraded to nice 37" HD LCD TV's, however where is the HD content to go with it? The TV still only has basic cable.

- The toilet is haunted, something flushes it in the middle of the night.

- Room feels smaller than average.

The Ugly:
- Internet is an extra $10 a day but worse yet is that it's as slow as the old dial up modems.

- Room Service, is it so hard to get something local and fresh? $15 for canned fruit, eggs and some bland bagel.
