When I first moved to Chicago and opened my bank account I considered the Worst of Chicago and Banc One.  I ended up opening an acount at North Community Bank.  The Worst of Chicago (pay us money if you want to talk to a teller - brilliant tactic there) no longer exists and Banc One lost the C to become Bank One before being folded into JP Morgan and Chase.  North Community Bank is still North Community Bank although I now do my banking at this Budlong Woods branch.  While I cannot tell you exactly what Budlong Woods is, I have nothing but good things to say about this bank.  You can do online banking and bill pay and they have a pretty decent number of ATMs throughout the loop and north side.  This branch is a bit of a hike from my place, but it isn't that far and there is a branch near my office as well.  In another 5 years Chase will probably be owned by Microsoft and North Community Bank will probably still be North Commnity Bank.
