Review from Busy M.
Culver City, CA
Staying at the North Bridge Inn was a the perfect ending for our three weeks long travel along the the East Coast. It was a quiet, restful and clean. Waking up to the smell of hot coffee and whatever delicious breakfast they had prepared was great. Loved the staff, they were cordial and they even let us print our boarding passes from their own computer. The rooms were large and cozy and very clean.
I highly recommend it. Actually, we are planning to come again with our extended family while visiting Concord. -
Review from Howard Y.
San Jose, CA
Great spot in the heart of Concord. I've stayed many times (after I made the mistake of staying at Colonial Inn next door). Helpful staff, good breakfast. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting to explore historical Concord.
Specialties
The North Bridge Inn, a Concord MA bed and breakfast inn, is located just off Monument Square in downtown Concord ... just a short walk from the Main Street shopping district and the local historic attractions.
The Concord Inn has six elegant, spacious and individually appointed suites. Each with queen beds, tiled bath and kitchen.
All have cable TV with VCR's, telephones, a work area and a sitting area. The Inn also has wireless DSL on an encrypted network. A full hot breakfast is served in our beautiful morning room.
History
Established in 1993
The North Bridge Inn was built in 1885 by Jonathan Maynard Keyes, owner of the town's highly successful sporting goods emporium which was located on Walden Street. He lived here until his death in 1933.
Considered a "modern home" in the late 1800's, the house remained unchanged until the 1960's. At that time the building was converted into commercial space. A woman's clothing store then occupied retail space. The rest of the building was taken over by the Colonial Inn and used as their annex.
In 1993, Concord resident Cheryl Roderrick took overand turned it into a small bed and breakfast, North Bridge Inn. In 1998 the current owner, Heidi Godbout, bought the B & B. A lifelong resident of the area, Heidi graduated from the Carlisle and Concord Public Schools, Colby College and recieved an MBA from Northeastern University. Heidi lives in Concord with her husband, Steve and dog, Posey. Major renovations were done to Inn in 1999 giving the it a fresh new look.
