I brought my husband's suit, which had been sweated through and through during a beach wedding. The gentleman who runs North Bay Dry Cleaners is very funny and takes a lot of pride in his work.
During drop off:
Owner: "You can pick this up next Tuesday."
Me: "But I can't come back until the Monday after next Tuesday. Is that OK?"
Owner: "You can pick this up anytime from next Tuesday to allllll of eternity."
During pick up:
Owner (carefully hanging up the suit on the hook as I paying for the suit.)
Me: (struggling to deal with the plastic covering as I unhook the suit and am exiting the store as a gust of wind picks up)
Owner: Gahhh don't wrinkle the suit!!! (fake horror voice)
There was a wedding dress for $1000 for sale there fyi.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Elizabeth W.Novato, CA09Nov 5, 2011
I borrowed a beautiful wedding dress from a friend. Unfortunately it had a huge wine stain that had been there for 8 years.
I brought it to North Bay Dry Cleaners on the slim chance they could get the stain out. To my surprise, not only did they get the stain out, there was no trace the stain was there. The dress looked brand new. They are friendly and fast. The best dry cleaners I've ever been to.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - K S.Novato, CA1034730May 28, 2014
I can't understand why this place does not have 5 stars. Here is why:
-he has repaired and restored our family heirloom handmade table cloth that is at least 40 years old
-he fixed my little ones dress After 5 other places told me "probably not" when asked if it was possible to get the stains out. He made no promises but never have up and went through at least 4 techniques and aced the job
-he knows his stuff and is passionate for what he does - clean and care for our finest clothes and linens and more
-the price is reasonable and better than most others in town unless you want to pay under 3 dollars an item and then ok -you get what you get!
-Communication is amazing. He calls to remind you when you forget your item, he calls to say he has your item ready ahead of schedule and explains what he plans to do or did to accomplish the task and doesn't make you feel lame for what you tried before you came to him with an undoubtedly destroyed piece of property! ---Last but not least - he always has a smile when you get your item back looking new and "all better!"
Thank you! A true local gem!
Call if you can't find him or just go to the end of the strip mall by Noah's bagel opposite of the "Artist Pallet".Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joan H.San Rafael, CA07Jul 11, 2014
I was looking for a dry cleaner with a reputation for cleaning duvet/comforters. I saw a review on Yelp--although location description was incorrect. It mentioned the location was near Noah's Bagels--it is near Redwood Bagels in the Triangle Shopping Center (small strip mall) on South Novato Blvd. Round Table pizza sign is a landmark.
The business manager, Bijan Kashi described how the comforter would be cleaned. I was confident after hearing his description. I picked up the comforter today, neatly wrapped in plastic for storage. The cost was in the range I expected.
He insisted on carrying the comforter to the car--just another sign of good customer service. I will not hesitate to bring my dry cleaning to North Bay Dry Cleaners in the future.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andy N.Novato, CA5073Nov 20, 2013

Super friendly, with great service and considering how seldom we stop by, he always remembers my last name. Reasonable prices and clothes come back clean, well pressed and packaged. They've even replaced several buttons on the verge of falling off. I only wish they wouldn't over use the plastic bags.

The person (owner?) behind the counter was condescending and rude! I dropped by there to get a quote on my wedding dress. Before me was a teen dropping off a shirt. He asked when his shirt would be ready - 6 days later. The boy asked why it would take so long just to launder a shirt (not dry clean) and was told "who knows better - me or you? Who is in the cleaning business? The boy was flustered and left his shirt. My turn. I had packed my dress with tissue to prevent wrinkles (like it had been mailed to me). I was told "in all my years in the business - I have never seen anything like this!" The man behind the counter said to me " why you do this?!" I told him why and got a snort in reply. He wanted to charge over $100 for dry cleaning the dress and over $240 for the special wedding treatment (boxed, preserved etc). Second price actually is in line with other places, but I took my dress to another shop - they dry cleaned it beautifully for only $30!
I am glad I took my business elsewhere. The other shop I went to did not say anything about how I packed my dress - they were professional, kind, and open and their shop was 10 times cleaner. I expect to be treated with respect or (as in this case), I take my business elsewhere.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ian W.Berkeley, CA0171Dec 29, 2013
I have had my dry cleaning done at probably 4 other places in my life, so not the largest of sample sizes, but I can say without a doubt that North Bay Dry Cleaners did the best job I've ever seen.
I usually work in SF and have a "go-to" dry cleaner there, but I had been working in Navato for a few weeks and couldn't get to the city. I read the reviews here and figured it was worth a try.
My shirts and pants were like new and I can honestly say they stayed cleaner longer, meaning I didn't have to have my dry cleaning done as often.
The price here is a little steep, but the work was so good that I've been trying to figure out how I can swing a couple trips back to Navato just to have my dry cleaning done. It's worth it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Debra E.Novato, CA21109Aug 13, 2013
We just had my new daughter-in-law's wedding dress cleaned here and they did a FABULOUS job! It was quite soiled on the bottom and they made it look like NEW! Such friendly service too! We will be taking all our dry cleaning here from now on and telling all our friends about North Bay Dry Cleaners as well. Thank you so much!!

I drive all the way from Mill Valley to bring my clothes to Bijan at North Bay in Novato. He is a true expert and an actual craftsman in dry-cleaning. It's hard to find good old fashion people who truly know what they're doing. I love this place.
Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Nov 12, 2011Previous reviewLiterally the best dry cleaner I've ever been to in my entire life. I drive half an hour just to drop off my clothes. Bjian, the store owner, has gotten out stains that others have said were impossible, spending countless owners pin-pricking the stain. He also cleans my expensive clothes without ever ruining them. LOVE the place.
