Every time I'm in Oxnard to visit family, I love shopping here with my mom or my cousin. The best part about this store for me is the shoe section. They carry a wide selection of styles and brands. Seriously, I always, always find a pair of shoes that I must have. Some awesome pairs I've snagged include a pair of Diesel tennis shoes and these cute (and very comfortable) Born loafer heels. I also saw these red patent leather Kate Spade heels a few months ago. In addition, they also have a good accessory section-costume jewelry and lots of cute bags and watches.
Minus one star because I personally find the clothing section a bit lacking. It really takes some searching to find something that's nice and reasonably priced. Maybe it has something to do with the organization, but I always become frustrated when I come here looking for clothes. However, the shoes never fail me.
I love the Nordie Rack - if you're looking for designer jeans at a better price and are willing to take the time for a little hunt - this is your place!! I have found Hudson and William Rast jeans (awesome jeans) at fabulous prices. It is so worth the stop to check out the jeans and I won't even get started on the shoes - the deals are fantastic!! It is worth the trip and I think a better alternative to the outlets in Camarillo!!
On a saturday night I realized I forgot my Chuck Taylors at home and really like wearing them out to party on the weekends. I ran into NR and they didn't fail me once again. Always good deals. Just have to dig a bit.
I know a guy writing a review on Nordstroms may seem a little weird, but since my wife has dragged my in here too many times to mention, and seeing as I have endured this trial, I may as well impart my knowledge if it can benefit any other members of the male race. ( Does that sentence qualify as the longest sentence recorded in history?)
If you like name brands on the cheap, this is the place too look. They still have Lucky Jeans for $80 which does not seem like a deal to me, but there are deal to be had.
I like Ben Sherman allot, and they have his stuff on sale. The suit selection is also pretty good, I picked up a really sporty Blazer on sale for $110, usual price was $250.
They have a great tie selection, and dress shirts as well. Its nice to be able to get a complete suit there, shirt, tie, suit, shoes, etc. They even have a on site Tailor, but I go to Victors for that.
There is nothing wrong with being well dressed, I say.
Excellent shoe selection. The bags are really limited lately- used to be better about a year ago. I just noticed 2 weeks ago that they started selling Kensie- which I love! So, that was exciting! I also buy all of my workout clothes here- particularly great prices on Nike. I also recommend the Calvin Klein pillows for only $10- so comfy.
Items here come and go pretty quickly, so don't think you can come back later and get it. I thought that with a cool wallet. I went back the next day and all 3 were gone. Coulda, woulda, shoulda...
The line can get pretty long, but it usually moves pretty fast. So, don't avoid your purchase just b/c of the long line..they'll get you checked out quickly.
I have never had a bad experience at this location, the staff is friendly and helpful. I have found exceptional bargains on great shoes, clothes and home merchandise. Beware it is not called the "rack" for nothing, you have to look through racks of stuff!
