I was pleasantly surprised with the food and service at Nordstrom Grill. The menu was full of great salads, sandwiches, and entrees that are perfect before or after some hardcore cardios in the form of shopping.
Cold and rainy, it was storming when I was visiting. The cioppino caught both of our eyes on that chilly day and the waitress highly recommended it. Loaded with mussels, a white fish, shrimps, clams, and dungeness crab in a flavorful tomato wine sauce, it was hearty, rich, and amazing. The garlicky toast had some serious grill mark on there. I wanted another 10 pieces to dip in my cioppino.
It was just an fantastic lunch to start off the day of shopping in Bellevue.
Good food at reasonable prices, but INCONSISTENT.
I used to eat here all the time when I worked in Bellevue Square. One of my favorite parts about coming here was their piping hot sourdough bread. Over the years, they would sometimes serve it cold or it tasted a bit stale. It really just depended on the day.
Their salmon caesar salad is really good. The salmon is tender with a thin crust and very flavorful. Careful about the dressing though -- sometimes it is just the right amount, but sometimes it's drenched in dressing. The safest option might be to order it on the side. Their soup of the day changes, but their clam chowder is my favorite. Their chicken burger and asian chicken salad are also good options.
Along with the employees in clothing/shoe/accessories departments at Nordstrom, service here is usually pretty decent, but isn't always fast and they sometimes have a little attitude. I try to avoid coming here anymore because I'm not sure what I'm going to get - could be fast, could be slow, food could be on-par, or off. I'd definitely come more often if there was more consistency in food and service.
Grilled sandwiches, salads, entrees and a full bar. I can't speak to the quality of the food.
A fine place to rest your tired soles while the wife shops, but it's definitely more of a mall cafe than a real restaurant. The Downtown Bellevue Association lists this place in its nightlife guide, which if you have any sense of humor at all should be worth a chuckle. The TVs are tiny and the patrons are mostly bored moms. The bartender confided in me that he calls it "day care."
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Bellevue, and certainly my first choice in Bellevue Square. It's a bit off the beaten path, just walk through the Nordstrom Men's Dept on the 2nd floor. This place is not the same as the Marketplace Cafe on the 3rd floor. It's full service here, with a full bar.
My ex-girlfriend and I would always get the Chicken Burger and French Dip, then split each of them. Both are outstanding and in my opinion, their fries are some of the best in Seattle!
