Nordstrom
8 reviews for Nordstrom
i love nordstrom. i repeat , i love nordstrom. this is such a quiet, tranquil place to shop. i love their selection of clothes and shoes and the fact that they price match! they have the best sales too!
employees are always helpful, and the truth is that they have excellent customer service.
I've returned several times to this location and realized that this is the BEST place in town for stocking up on beauty supplies. While they may not have as wide of a selection as some other locations or even some other department stores, this Nordstrom's has almost a "best of" collection of every name you'd recognize.
What I appreciate the most is that I always receive top notch service and it is never really that crowded. Every time I come to replenish my foundation etc. at MAC, I will come across something new to try. So if you like exploring and splurging on new beauty tricks (come on, I can't be the only one that has 10 million bottles of creams that purport to eliminate wrinkles or cellulite!) then this is the place to do it without having to feel claustrophobic.
Plus, they will validate your parking for up to 3 hours. So at least make this your last stop while shopping at Merrick Park, snag a new lipstick or self-tanner and get free parking!

No matter what time of year, I find that this location has a limited clothing selection. There is a… Read more »
I am between 2.5 and 3 stars on this one and I'll explain why....
I almost fully love Nordstroms...especially when they have a sale...and I do fully LOVE their shoe department...especialy when there is a sale. Like Jen R mentioned, their return policy is fantastic too! I also love that if you buy clothing there and need to get it altered they can do it for you for free or a minimal cost!
I do have one HUGE bone to pick with this and all Nordstrom locations though and that is what keeps me from loving the store 100%....here it goes....THEIR FITTING ROOMS BLOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!! The lighting is God AWFUL and the mirrors are HIDEOUS! I have known this for years, but always think to give the fitting rooms another chance. Why I do this, I have NO CLUE! It is always a piss poor experience. Bumps and indentations show up on my body in those fitting rooms that I have never seen outside of there, it's really bad. To add insult to injury, the bumps and indentations show up on THREE mirrors, and the mirrors reflections on each other, so it looks like hundreds of rows of blobiness. Nasty. I know I am not the only one that has had this experience in there either and I just can't see how these fitting rooms help Nordstrom's sales. Unfortunately, my fitting room experiences have often made me leave Nordstrom empty handed :(
Next time I go I will stick to my guns and not go into the fitting rooms....I'll just buy, take home, try on there and return if need be. Looking back, maybe that's why the have the awesome return policy they have...because they know their fitting rooms suck balls.
nordstrom is an awesome dept store, really probably the best! this location at merrick park is quiet and a pleasure to shop at. i have gone during my lunch break, on a sunday afternoon, and even weeknights and it is always soo nice and clean and overall a great shopping experience.
the sales people are nice and attentive, even knowledgeable without being pushy or annoying.
i bought a really nice formal dress here and a few days later even got a thank you note in the mail from the sales lady who helped me!! how nice is that?
the other day i cleaned out my whole house, every closet, cabinet, drawer. i found a pair of jeans i had bought a really really long time ago with all tags and the receipt still in the pocket. i was mortified to attempt the return but they were expensive jeans and were 2 sizes to small now.
i worked up my courage and went in. the sales girl took them back with no questions asked, although i still felt the need to explain. she returned the full amount right onto my debit card!!
this place rocks and i will continue to be a great customer, they deserve it!!
Visit the Mens Shoe Department for the best shoe shine around.
The Bistro at Nordstrom is an optimal choice if looking for a quick non-fast food lunch option while shopping at the Village of Merrick Park.
The pricing is less than it's luncheon nemesis at Neiman Marcus, which is useful for those on a budget since Merrick Park ain't your regular spendthrift mall.
Menu goes from the many varieties of open hot sandwhiches and soups, to standard platters for the meal conscious. I personally recommend the Chicken Paillard with Arugula salad since the chicken it's marinated to your tongue's delight, and arugula is always pleasing.
Clam chowder is also an unusual forte for Nordstrom's Bistro, so do not fear to treat yourself one if here, dear yelper.
Why three stars? Because it's a mall, and though they try to please their clientele, the palate has to be realistic.
Ok, ok, three and a little more than a half.
The Bistro upstairs has an unforgettable crab bisque that nobody should die without trying.
I love the cafe here, it is great. You can drink wine and shop for shoes. I am sold.
