I wish I could give 4.5 stars. This place is one of the best, I believe!
I know many people are fans of the thin crust but I LOVE the pan style, thick crust and they deliver the goods!!!
The people working there are always pleasant.
The only downside is that the pizza is $2.99, not including a can of pop. But hey it's a sign of the times.
I usually never finish the pizza there so I end of asking for a box to take it home and i'm alright with spending around $4 and being full.
I haven't had anything else but the pizza for the last 10 years but that doesn't matter, you still need to stop buy and have a taste :D
4 stars....i dont get it..this is the best pizza in all of the chicagoland area..its unreal..the dough is fantastic..the slices are huge..you cant eat 2 pieces... you know what else..besides the fact that i live across the street from this joint and have been going here for over 12 years..at least..if not longer..
the mostacolli is awesome, the rice balls are awesome, the french fries are awesome...every year for the nba draft we have a party and order deep dish nonnos and cheese slices...dont ever get a cheese pizza in full form..go with a 3 slices and you will have an extra large pizza..the slices are made differently than the normal pizza.
no nans..no nans..no one can do it like...i can.....woooh...eat here its awesome
Flavorful pizza, no skimping on toppings, and quick service. It's probably my favorite go-to pizza place. The prices have gone up a bit but not nearly as much as my formerly-favorite 'za, DiNico's. As of writing, $3.25 gets you a nice big slice of cheese and $.25 more gets sausage or pepperoni. And they will make other toppings by the slice - just today my friend got bacon added to his cheese pizza for a minimal charge. There is minimal seating - only about 4 or 5 tables seating 3 each, so large groups would be better off getting delivery or carry-out and taking it home.
BEWARE: if your order is under $8 or so, and you use credit, they will add a $1 surcharge.
The slices here are slices of heaven. They aren't the biggest, and they don't come with a free can of soda, but they are delicious! Don't neglect the rest of the menu for the slice, though. Eaters with an extra dollar and extra time should go for the baby stuffed pizza.
The sandwiches are amazing, with the meatball being a real standout. The combo, though, might be too much of a good thing--there is too much beef to be able to get a decent bite of both beef and sausage. Those with bigger mouths than mine, though, might enjoy it.
As far as appetizers, the french fries seem to be hand cut; they're skin-on, heavily (but nicely!) seasoned, and fried crisp. For some odd reason, the menu lists cheese sticks, bread sticks, and cheesy bread sticks, but all three are simply mozzarella sticks.
Due to inflation, a single piece of pizza is no longer $2.25. It's under $5, but still big and oh-so delicious. Crust is thick and there's a great deal of cheese and sauce to compliment it. Still tastes great microwaved the next day.

$2.25 for a giaganticmundo slice of pizza! And it's good!
Ate here shortly after it opened. Really bad pizza, especially with better alternatives in the area. Crust had a funny taste, sauce was bad. Bleh. Pass.
This is now the only place I'll go to get a slice of pizza. It's great stuff and they always have you in and out fast. I can't comment on anything else on their menu as the slices are all I get. I used to go to the Bacci across the street but since they changed owners never again.
The. Best. Sicilian. Pie. Ever. Sure, they do other stuff well, but the key here is the delightfully fresh ingredients and the aforementioned monster that beats anything any other pizzeria has to offer, in Chicago, or anywhere else for that matter. Order it, and you've got leftovers for a week. Or enough to feed several large friends, who will all thank you profusely, and join you in the cult of Nonno's.
Decent "thin crust" pizza (more like "medium crust"), but the thing to check out here is the Margherita (I probably butchered that...) pan pizza. Really great tomato, garlic and basil flavor, lots of cheese and a good tomato sauce (more tangy/spicy than sweet). Other stuff here is good and generally nicer quality than Bacci across the street. I'll be back again and again for that pan pizza....yum! Free liter of soda w/ a whole pizza.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their pizza. Best thin crust pizza around. Don't miss it! It's heaven!!! Always fresh and a free liter of pop with a whole pizza is included - you can't beat it!
This place has a pretty good pie. It's a little better than Bacci across the street. Smaller slice, thicker crust and no free pop. Big chunks of sausage though. The crusty old bird behind the counter is a real hoot. They have another location in countryside. They are much more friendly at this location. The rest of their food is pretty good also.
Decent food, but will never go back there. I feel like I'm bothering the guy trying to get my order. If you're hungry it's ok, but if you can avoid the place I would.
