We have been hitting Noah's as of late for a early morning snack instead of going out for a full breakfast

I love the Bacon and Egg on a Jalapeno and Cheddar Bagel, with a glass of Apple juice, also you can get just egg whites if your diet calls for it, then walk my ass over to Vivace for a cup of Joe

its hot and it hits the spot, yeah they are a slow but it is made up to order, so if you don't have time to wait for some food go else where, the line will be just that much shorter for me I will make the time to stop and get Noah's

I'm kind of surprised at such a low rating for Noah's. Sure, the service can be pretty slow, but they get quite busy in the mornings. The bagels themselves are great, and the pricing is fair.

Every time I go in this place, the place is clean and well attended to. I suppose its a bit of the fast-food of bagel joints, but I'm happy to return when I'm in the mood for a good bagel- nothing more and nothing less.

I've had mostly good experiences here, a couple pretty awful. I've gotten couple burnt ones, and when I request another, they've run out. I always want the 6 cheese & onion but they're almost always out by the time I'm there. I suggest the or the asiago with sun-dried tomato and basil cream cheese. Always toasted. Always. Why do they even ask? haha :]

I've been meaning to stop by and pick up some of their special cream cheese for a long time.  they call it shmear or something like that...whatever.  anyways, i got really lucky and found parking right across the street on saturday morning.  i was only going to stop in really quickly, so it was perfect.  i was a bit disappoined that they didn't have the honey walnut i was looking for.  i'm still kinda bummed.  regardless, i wanted something i couldn't find at the grocery store, so i picked up the jalepeno flavor.  i shmeared it all over my toasted onion bagels at home and found it to be super yummy.  i want to go by there and try some other flavors again soon.  hopefully, it won't take me months to get over there again.

The only reason to go to Noah's bagels is to taste just how terrible a bagel can be.  Come on, you're curious.  You are better off going to a grocery store for lender's.

Still searching for good Seattle bagels... anyone???

Wow there are tons of awful reviews here, but I went on a Saturday morning and had a good experience. Yeah, we had to wait a while because of so many people in line ahead of us, but they got our orders just right. I like how they have a cool variety of different spreads (too bad they don't have a cream cheese with avocado and onion though ..mmm..) It took me forever to make up my mind. The person with me was a regular and didn't seem to have any complaints about the bagels or the service.

I generally like Noah's bagels. The purists can pick apart the deficiencies of crust/texture/cream cheese/whatever, but they're plenty good enough for a former midwestern-southern-new england boy like me. Plus, we have a Good Samaritan in my office who gets a dozen or so for the office every Wed, and who's gonna dis free bagels (except for all of you whiny purists -- go ahead, pass up free breakfast if you want to, see if I care).

The problem I have with this location is that the last two times I've been in there, at 10:30 on a Saturday morning, they've had two people working behind the counter. That's right, I said "2". On Saturday morning. That translates to 15-20 people in line, and a 30-45 minute wait just to order. I mean that literally -- I timed it.

I was all set to rant and rave about this, but Bounce just summed it up for me: "The irony is, if this were actually New York they would be lynched for that kind of a wait. That's where the phrase 'going New York' on someone comes into play." Word.

The double-irony is that the staff in here have always been really really nice and friendly -- I think that's another thing that would get you lynched in New York.

Eating at Noah's should be treated like a one-night stand with... "what was your name again?"

I have hunger. You have bagels. I want to eat. You want to sell bagels.  Maybe we can come to some sort of agreement here.  I buy bagels and eat them, you sell bagels and take my money. I leave with my hunger satisfied, but my soul empty (all hollow inside, like... uhm... a bagel). You leave with my money, and you never had a soul to begin with. We both feel ashamed afterward.

Yeah, just like a drunken one-night stand.

At least bagels can't give you herpes.

For shame! Anyone who thinks this is a NY bagel is WAY off and anyone who says this is better than a NY bagel...I challenge you to an arm-wrestle. Look, the simple fact is, as any New Yorker will tell you, it's in the water. Any dough products from NY taste so good because of the water. There's nothing you can do about it, so please stop claiming to be "NY Style" or NY anything...it's embarrassing. This place is a joke...I don't even think anyone Jewish works here!

The Bagel-Deli on 15th is as good as I've found in Seattle...go there.

Really, people don't like this place? Perhaps its because Noah's was the first place I began frequenting with the intention of purchasing bagels, but I would OFTEN take the 49 bus to Capitol Hill *just* to stop here.

You can't beat it for a cheap snack.

Imagine my elation when I moved to Cap Hill and discovered there was a "New York bagels" place just a few blocks from me. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered their bagels don't even come to par with the Pike Place Bagel Bakery.

There are two major problems with Noah's bagels:
- too chewy
- too airy

They remind me of Lender's frozen bagels. NY bagels are not nearly this chewy.
I've been there twice, once for an egg+cheese bagel and the other time for a bag of 8 bagels to go. The first time, when I ate there, I heard them mess up 3 to 4 other people's orders. To be fair, they were pretty busy, but it seemed like an unusually high error rate.

Noah what happened to you. I hardly recognized you.

I grew up with Noah's back in the Bay Area. Huge, delicious bagels, lox and strong coffee. Yeah, And even when the chain first started up here they were pretty good. Some branches are still okay(the QFC UVillage one is pretty good, and much more deli-like).

But this place is just annoying. The bagels are pretty small, they often don't have all the lox and spreads they should.  The staff here always seems bored and confused and the place is laid out so badly that the line is always jammed up. The sandwich board is near the door, the food case is to the right of the line so people are always bumping into each other.

Just give me a good place where I can run in, grab my bagel and shmear and leave.

Well  -1 star for being ridiculously dirty:, papers strewn about, half eaten baggies of chips on the table, tables with crumbs on them.
-1 star for being rude and not having a basic bagel on hand...i mean isn't it common to have a wheat bagel?
-1 for being rude they made it seem like it was a burden to take my money.
-1 for putting a gross amount of cream cheese and the nasty sun dried tomato bagel.  And the employees all  were acting like they were on break the whole time shouting and carrying on.  I'm all for being casual and having fun but you have to draw the line somewhere...
I did give them one star because I was able to rustle up a Seattle Weekly to read about SIFF.
Too bad such a great neighborhood place is going down, down, down.

No more tofutti cream cheese, "distributor stopped carrying it". Sad, that's what brought me here.

Early morning bagel shop. I've heard many comments about these not being "true new york" bagels, despite that being part of the name. I have to assume this is the same as the "seattle coffee" debate. The bagels are just fine, certainly better than those served at Dunkin' Donuts back east.

Go for the drip coffee over espresso as it's self serve and there are a few options whereas I haven't seen a dedicated barista when I've been in and it takes a bit for them to get to it. Nice people every time though.

Yeeg. Why did I go here? I could've had a delicious anything else, and instead I had a taste-deficient breakfast "panini." That is such an over-used term, apparently you can use it to describe anything warmish and sandwich-like. The bread was soggy and untoasted, the eggs had no seasoning whatsoever and were microwaved, the rest of the ingredients merged into a soggy mess because the whole works was stuck in the microwave in a piece of paper. That is not quality food preparation, and I'm not going to stand for it.

By which I mean I'm not going back and you shouldn't go there either.

Horrible service. They take forever to assist you and when they do - they mess up your orders. The soup is cold, all 8 coffee pots are empty (with the timers run out), they don't clean the tables... all while the staff gossips in the back. It's clear they need to clean out the staff here and start fresh... until then, good riddance!

Call me picky, but all it takes is one gross incident at a restaurant for me to swear it off entirely (ask me sometime about why I don't eat at Boston Market, or Claim Jumper).  The last time I was in a Noah's --- years ago --- I saw a fly trapped in the bagel case, buzzing around frantically and putting its filthy fly feet all over the bagels, and that was enough for me.  I probably wouldn't have gone back if a fellow Yelper hadn't taken me, but I'm glad I gave Noah's another shot.

We were stopping in for a quick breakfast before getting on the road out of town, and just wanted something fast and tasty to go.  In addition to the usual bagel flavors, Noah's offers delicious "gourmet" bagels in more exotic flavors, like spinach & Swiss (my selection), or pesto and red pepper (my fellow Yelper's).  My spinach & Swiss was fresh, chewy, and generously coated in cheese and spinach --- it almost didn't need the cream cheese, but I'm glad I got it anyway.  The pesto and red pepper bagel, which I sampled, was also delish, though I think it was a bit dry on its own without cream cheese.  I also had an iced latte, which tasted just fine to my unrefined palate.

The service was fairly fast, and I had no complaints about the cleanliness of this location.  One interesting feature was the bagel guillotine --- the server would feed the bagel into the top-loading shelf, you'd hear this loud SHUNK, and then the neatly sliced halves would fly out into the tray at the bottom.  Or, if there's already a bagel in the tray, the incoming bagel can bounce out and land on the floor, which happened while we watched.  Not to worry, the server tossed the fallen bagel into the trash and got a new one --- no "ten-second rule" here.

All in all, I was pleased with the quality of the food and service here, though the gourmet bagels are a bit on the pricey side --- one of those with cream cheese will run you $3.  So while it's not an affordable everyday thing, Noah's is a nice place for a weekend treat or a self-declared special occasion, like kicking off a weekend road trip.  Sometimes it's worth it to give a place a second chance.

Food: I can only rate the bagels, as I've haven't ventured into any of their other menu options. Coming from the north suburbs of Chicago with a good Jew background, I think I have a fairly good idea what a good bagel tastes like. While I do enjoy the fact that Noah makes "Egg" bagels (Hard to find in the Pacific Northwest)... they are definitely boiled to perfection. The bagels remind me heavily of the doughy type you get from Einstein Brothers. If this bagel shop existed in Chicago or New York, it would go bankrupt within 1 month!

Service: Service at this place is definitely less than exemplary. I've visited this place multiple times now... and they are certainly not on top of their service to maintain high quality food. They often leave toasted bagels to go cold before serving them. They also tend to half-finish orders while taking new orders.

Lesson to Noah: Finish your orders before taking new ones!

If you love bagels, coffee, tea, and a pleasant experience... go to Noah's! But.. not the Capitol hill one. They never actually have bagels there. On one occasion, they did not have a single bagel available at 7:15 AM. They had already sold out. Sometimes there is no coffee, and no one to make more, because the 2 employees working, have 15 million customers in line waiting for a bagel... of which there are slim pickens. It would be bareable if the employees had perma-smiles and expressed pure glee at serving bagels. Let's be realistic, though. They probably get sick of people complaining that there's no coffee and bagels, and hate their customers. That is why more times than not they are rude or just "zombie-like". The Noah's on Mercer Island I hear, is brilliant. Go there if you can afford the gas to drive your car.

This place does not serve Bagels so much as tasteless, ring shaped pieces of bread.  Their sandwiches are sub-par, overpriced, and they take forever to make them.  They force you to pay for potato salad, fruit salad or coleslaw with your sandwich for some ridiculous reason. There is a much better bagel place just up the hill (The Bagel Deli) on 15th.

this place has saved me on several occasions- those mornings... ah, actually more like early afternoons...  when the booze has not yet given up attacking one's body and one needs some eggy, cheesy, bready business up in there to push things forward.

it's a little pricey. it's never amazing. but it's still pretty good.

Noah's has the best bagels I've ever tried.  I love their "good egg" bagel with their smoked salmon "shmear."  My husband loves the cracked peppercorn/potato bagels with the "shmear."  Sooooo incredibly good.  They also offer salads - their "City Salad" is wonderful, with greens, candied walnuts, bleu cheese, and a nice strawberry (I think) vinaigrette.  They also offer freshly squeezed juice, panini sandwiches, and a host of other goodies.  The service is quick and I can get in & out on my way to work easily.

BOYCOTT NOAH'S.... I worked there and they don't treat their employees as they should and proper sanitary is horrible. I could only work there for a month or so. I'm a baker there and there is so little respect for us and the hours are horrible - not enough pay for working those hours and it's super dangerous. Teach the owners/manager of Noah's a lesson and don't go there - some of the ingredients aren't even what they say they are. LIES, LIES, LIES at Noah's Bagels. I hate it there... my life while working there was horrible.

Hate to say it but I have had better breakfast bagel sandwiches at McDonald's. I personally was on a bagel sandwich mission this weekend and thought Noah's was up to the challenge but left me wanting more. The egg itself was unseasoned and just plain boring-which cost them a star. I know they microwave the egg to cut back on time but that just leads to an egg that's just taste fake. The bagel itself was good but sure didn't knock my socks off. So if you looking for a killer egg bagel sandwich which comes with a fresh egg on a nicely toasted bagel hit me up because you can only find that in my very own kitchen.

Decent lox bagel. It is actually lox, albeit out of a package, but it's lox and not some mistakenly served hot smoked salmon. I've been looking for ANY bagel place in Seattle for quite some time - There just aren't that many. I can actually walk to this place on the weekend, and even though they were totally put out by the fact that I walked in ten minutes before closing they graciously served it up... so I graciously ate it down in ten minutes flat.  So there are my selfish reasons for thinking Noah's New York ain't all that bad.

Freakin' morons run this place!!  I have gone there the last Friday of every month for years now and learned the best way to deal with them is call way in advance and let the aloof, mildly retarded staff take all the time in the world to put a few dozen bagels in a bag.  Apparently, they can't even handle that anymore.  I went in a few weeks back after I having called in my order.  I spoke with Jame's, who apparently is the manager.  Noah's must be hard up to hire a complete stooge like this loser.
So I get there to pick up my bagels and no one will tell me anything until finally some kid says he doesn't want to ask the manager (james the moron) where my order was becasue he was in a bad mood and would yell at him.  REAL PROFESSIONAL!  Finally a competent young lady tells me my order is not ready, there are no bagels and James won't come speak to me himself (nice!).  She offered me a dozen free bagels.  I told her to please let Jame's know where he could put his free dozen!  I will NEVER go back there!!  I am happy paying a premium at the Bagel Deli on 15th.
AVOID NOAHS!!
I would put no stars if it were an option they really SUCK!

Noah's bagels are a little fluffy, but they're close to where I live, and they have good jalepeno cream cheese.    I actually prefer the texture of the bagels of the place on 15th, but they lack the variety, and they dont have the good cream cheese.    If I'm feeling super industrious, I'll go to both, bring bags home, and toast em myself.

Average bagel. Less than average staff. I'm pretty sure that the guy with the crazy hair who works here is high all the time because I have come here twice and been served by him and he takes FOREVER. It's a bagel with cream cheese, come on people. I guess as a Jew coming from Chicago I am somewhat of a bagel snob. I have heard that this is one of the best places to get a bagel in Seattle. Christ. Living in this city is like living in a desert....a desert with no good bagels. I can't deal with it. Maybe I'll have some bagels flown in from New York. if anyone wants to split the shipping with me I would be more than happy to get like 50 lbs. worth of everything or onion bagels.

I haven't really found many bagel places around so I was keen to try Noah's.  The bagels are okay but not amazing.  The crust of the whole wheat can be a little glossy... do they use preservatives?  That being said, they're acceptable and keep me coming back when I need a weekend bagel. I also loved the honey almond (or honey walnut? I can't remember) smear and the super friendly staff. :)

I have been on a constant search for a breakfast place since my beloved plymouth cafe closed its 2 months ago. When I got transfered to my capital hill office I noticed Noah's Bagels and figured I would find my beloved bagel breakfast sandwich replacement. I was wrong. Though I cannot fault the bagel itself because that was good, the filling needs some help. I got the breakfast sandwich with egg cheese (chedder) and turkey sausage since they didn't have ham. Well the egg was ehh the sausage reminded me of mcdonalds and the chives were very overwelming to the point of covering up my harldly there cheese. The hole thing just wasn't that appetizing. The staff was very pleasant as to why i'm giving it some stars. I will try this place again next week for just the bagel and cream cheese but will probably look else where for anything else.
