I trained with Noa for a year prior to giving birth to my 9 pound daughter. I guess I psychically knew that I would need the extra core strength to deliver my biggun and I asked Noa to help me get in shape.
Noa is a fantastic and intuitive trainer and prepared me well for child birth. I had no Pilates experience when we started and am now confident to take intermediate classes in mat, reformer and/or cadillac.
In addition to her Pilates training skills, Noa is also a really fun and easy person to be with - a bonus when spending quality time balancing on a ball or hanging upside down.
I highly recommend Noa Slemrod! -

Noa Slemrod is an amazing pilates teacher. I love taking classes with her. She makes me laugh while she's got me sweating like a beast -- what could make for a better workout? She's kind, thoughtful, and a core-strengthening-slave-driver all at once. I needed to get myself into shape -- quickly -- in time to bike from SF to LA on the AIDS Lifecycle. Noa saved me from a week of biking torture by whipping me into prime cycling form. She immediately saw what years of biking has done to my posture and she guided me to correct it. She also gave me terrific tips to fix other bad habits I fall into on the bike. LOVE her. She rocks.

I found Noa and Peak Performance on Yelp. I'm a former college athlete (but now in my 30s) and was somewhat skeptical about Pilates until my sister and parents got me into it. I also have a couple of herniated discs. I work in front of a computer all day, which does not do wonders for posture, back, strength etc unless you really take care of yourself.
Noa and I have been working together for almost two years now, and I've seen really dramatic improvements. Noa really listens, is responsive to feedback, and takes a very practical approach to Pilates -- something I appreciate.
I wish I had started working with Noa earlier. She's interesting, funny and finds a nice balance between being a great teacher and pushing you to become better. I'd recommend her to anyone. I now am able to do a whole range of things I was not able to do "pain-free" prior to linking up with Noa - whether it by lifting my son out of his crib or running a competitive 10K.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Hi there. I'm Noa. I am a certified Pilates trainer, certified in mat and all apparatus work. I teach all ages and levels of Pilates. Some of my clients come to me wanting to strengthen and train. Others want to heal from injuries and stabilize the spine. Exercises can easily be modified to suit your Pilates needs. Contact me if you would like to book an appointment.
