One of the few hotels near Mt. Rainier, the Nisqually Lodge has decent rooms and service.  The rooms have comfortable beds as well as television.  Our room had a window looking out into the dark, thick forest, which is kind of scary if you believe in Bigfoot, but otherwise okay.

The lobby is a cozy area with a wonderful fireplace and big comfy chairs.  After a hard day of hiking on Mt. Rainier, it was relaxing to come back to the hotel and sip hot chocolate in front of the fire.

My favorite thing about the hotel was the hot tub.  It feels soooooo good to soak in warm water if you've been climbing mountains all day.  The hot tub isn't in the best location, as it's kind of exposed, but at least you have a bit of a view.

Definitely consider the Nisqually Lodge if you're looking for a nice place to stay outside of the national park.
