Nino's Pizzeria
2 reviews for Nino's Pizzeria
I live near Nino's and a go there sometimes.
You can't fault them for the cleanliness of their kitchen, I mean, it's spotless.
The food I've found to be generally good, not exceptional, but the booths are horribly tight for anyone who's tall or large, and they close off the larger dining room with the more comfortable tables in it just as soon as the dinner rush is over, which I find kind of rude and inconsiderate.
I agree with the other review here that the teenage staff need more adult supervision and guidance.
I know I'm in the minority in the area when I write this review to say that I'm not a fan of Nino's pizza.
When I moved out to West Seneca in 1987, my family and I were looking for a great pizza place that could compare with Penora's in Lancaster or Bocce's on Bailey. To this day we still cannot find a decent pizzeria in West Seneca.
This pizza place has to be the busiest which should indicate that it's excellent but the pizzas we've had since 1987 are far from it.
The first time we ate there, it was delivered to our home in a timely fashion. When we started to eat we found hair on the pizza. I completely lost my appetite.
Later on we tried it again hoping it would be better. It all depends on who is making it that day. The crust is usually too thin, not enough sauce or too much sauce and not enough pepperoni.
We switched to cheese pizzas but still experience the same problem with the crust.
I've tried turkey subs there with a failure rate. The lettuce is usually wilted and brown and the tomatos are soggy and do not taste fresh.
The last time I ate there, the workers seemed to be in a choatic mode since there was no manager. There was horseplay behind the counters and while making the food. Orders were getting backed up and many were irritated with the staff that appeared to be of high school age.
I will go out of my way to return to Bocce's or Penoras.
