I had no idea this place made chaat.  Maybe I'll give that a try sometime.  

Seems fairly average for an Indian grocery.  The curry leaves look fresh and the rest of the produce seems in decent condition.  The dry goods look appropriately dusty for these sorts of places.  They have Pavel's, which is nice.  The Safeway nearby definitely doesn't have Pavel's yogurt.  I would not go out of my way to come here though, given that I think there is a Cash and Carry nearby.

Ok, so let me tell you why I gave it a 5 star rating.  For one, the place is new, well organized, and spacious, highly different than the typical Indian grocery stores where things are all over the isle and you can't even walk.  The other reason being that the price is similar to the other "larger" stores but without the staring eyes or rude people who bump into you.  Another reason being their "Chaat Corner."  Daana Bazaar (Fremont - see my review), watch out!!!  You have got yourself a competitor with better food, layout, and pricing and I don't have to drive all the way to Fremont to enjoy delicious pani puri or chaat snacks.  They charge $3.50 for the various snacks and I find it to be better, more hygenic than Daana Bazzar layout.  So, you can imagine, I love this place!!!.  They currently only do Chaats on Weekend evenings (F-S) from 6 to 10PM and got started only about 2 weeks ago.  If the business is good, they will increase hours and days.. So, all your Pani Puri lovers who are used to driving all the way up to Freakmont, give this place a shot and you won't be sorry.

While at it, pick up your Indian grocery needs at similar pricing but in a well layed out environment that is not so.. how you say... "overwhelming."
