I recently hired Nikolay to shoot a two-hour portrait session of a couple I'm friends with as a birthday gift to them. All in all, Nikolay was a pleasure to work with and took SPECTACULAR pictures! I would highly recommend his work to anyone!

He was very easy to work with, and responded to emails immediately. He also recommended several locations to help us find just the right place, and once on location, did an amazing job scouting gorgeous, eye-catching spots to shoot on.

The couple was extremely impressed with how nice and detail-oriented Nikolay was during the shoot. He put them at ease immediately, and (they said) was great about offering them specific advice and tips on poses when they asked for feedback, but not intruding on their interaction or over-directing the shoot.

And, of course, the most important thing: the photographs are EXQUISITE! The pictures do an amazing job capturing the couple's personalities and their connection -- they absolutely come to life in the pictures. The framing and lighting are gorgeous!

Overall, Nikolay provided a wonderful, comfortable experience for the couple, and produced hundreds of gorgeous shots over the course of the two-hour session. His rates are extremely reasonable, especially considering the phenomenal service he provides!

Nikolay was our photographer at my wedding on April 11, 2009.  I was not the typical bride, I did not want any before pictures of me getting ready, or any formal pictures of my fiancee and I before the wedding.  I really wanted a lot of pictures of our guests.  Nikolay did exactly what I asked for.  I was/am 100% satisfied with his work.  

The pictures are beautiful!  I never even noticed him taking the pictures at the wedding.  He was very patient and took great pictures even though the banquet room was a bit dark.

I would recommend Nikolay for your event, he listened to what I wanted and exceeded my expectations.  My husband and I are very happy with the pictures and can't stop looking at them.  He did an exceptional job.

I've seen Nikolay at work for 2 weddings within the last 2-3 months and I have to say he's one of the nicest, modest, creative, and detail oriented photographers. His best trait: HE TAKES PRIDE IN HIS WORK & care about  his clients, always patiently waiting around and always ready to capture all those great moments, down to every little details that would easily ignored by others ...
While I was working non-stop as a makeup artist to serve the bride & her bridal party, last weekend specifically, I remembered noticing that Nikolay would have 2 cameras in reach, and he would move around the place in a calm but positive manner... and click-click-click away....  HE USES HIS TIME and TALENT TO THE FULLEST.
Another great thing:  his price is so reasonable and he's so easy to work with, always with a smile.  I'd recommend my future brides to Nikolay for sure!

When I proposed to my fiancee on the island of Kauai, I already knew who I wanted to take our wedding photos. I knew I needed a dedicated photographer who works hard and knows the technical skills needed to capture the very special moments of a special wedding.

Most photographers are lucky to be invited to shoot a wedding in Hawaii or most photographers are too expensive to have them shoot your wedding in Hawaii. With Nikolay, we got a highly dedicated photographer who isn't satisfied if you are not happy with your photos. He's a dedicated photographer to the craft of wedding photography and he has great technical skill to make the memories come alive.

During our ceremony and reception, my family and friends were in awe with his dedication. He was all over the place capturing those special moments and his final pieces are a testimony to the dedication. I've seen photographers at weddings drinking the free beer, sometimes often relaxing. Not with Nikolay. He takes his job seriously.

He can also 'coach' you with certain shots so the memories are picturesque when you receive them. Finally, I think people want to know about his cost. I don't want to call him 'budget' because that gives the wrong definition of him. He's not a pricey photographer, but I think he should be. His skills outweigh the amount he asks for his services.

So having Nikolay shoot my wedding on Kauai was a special treat for us. We not only had our wedding captured beautifully and tastefully, we got a great friend in the end.

Didn't take my beer until my wedding was done

Recently got married in the beautiful island of Hawaii and of course we wanted a great photographer to capture all the beautiful moments during, before and after the ceremony. Well, we not only had the most wonderful pictures from our especial day, we got the most unique shots. Nikolay is awesome! His work comes out as art, and he is very easy to work with, professional and determine to get that perfect shot! We will definitely recommend him to anyone.
